It has more plasticity than that: a fruity shadow, leather, resins, rose, oud, and nocturnal sweetness. The opening feels juicy, but this is not merely a fruity composition. Passion fruit and blackcurrant give it a dark, slightly wine-like glow, while saffron immediately makes the fragrance more serious and less carefree. This is not fruity sweetness, but rather a dense, almost velvety shadow into which a spicy warmth begins to enter from the very first minutes. At the heart, Qamar grows deeper. Oud, patchouli, benzoin, cypriol, and rose form a dense fabric in which no note sounds separate or demonstrative. The rose here is not an ornament and not a feminine gesture. It moves through the composition more like a dark red trace, softening the oud and the resins without taking away their character. The base holds the fragrance firmly. Leather, labdanum, oud, and vanilla give it density, warmth, and sensuality. The vanilla merely rounds the edges. Leather and labdanum leave a pleasant aftertaste, while the oud gives everything a deeper, almost nocturnal outline. Qamar is richer, darker, and more seductive than many fragrances in the Rajani line, though also more expected in its direction. It is a dense and high-quality fragrance, with a beautiful nocturnal atmosphere and excellent texture. È un abitante del crepuscolo: denso, morbido, saturo. Eppure non è un “profumo scuro” nel senso più letterale del termine, né l’ennesima composizione orientale pesante costruita soltanto su concentrazione e vibrazione sensuale. Ha più plasticità di così: un’ombra fruttata, pelle, resine, rosa, oud e una dolcezza notturna. L’apertura è succosa, ma non è semplicemente una composizione fruttata. Il frutto della passione e il ribes nero gli danno un riflesso scuro, leggermente vinoso, mentre lo zafferano rende subito il profumo più serio e meno spensierato. Non è una dolcezza fruttata, ma piuttosto un’ombra densa, quasi vellutata, nella quale fin dai primi minuti si inserisce un calore speziato. Nel cuore Qamar si approfondisce. Oud, patchouli, benzoino, cypriol e rosa formano un tessuto compatto, in cui nessuna nota emerge da sola o in modo dimostrativo. La rosa qui non è un ornamento e non è un gesto femminile. Attraversa piuttosto la composizione come una traccia rosso scuro, ammorbidendo l’oud e le resine senza privarli del loro carattere. La base sostiene il profumo con sicurezza. Pelle, labdano, oud e vaniglia gli conferiscono densità, calore e sensualità. La vaniglia arrotonda soltanto i bordi. La pelle e il labdano lasciano un piacevole retrogusto, mentre l’oud dona all’insieme un contorno più profondo, quasi notturno. Qamar è più ricco, più scuro e più seducente di molti profumi della linea Rajani, anche se nel suo orientamento risulta più prevedibile. È un profumo denso e di qualità, con una bellissima atmosfera notturna e un’ottima trama. Non si può definire una sorpresa, ma bisogna riconoscerlo: è convincente nella sua perfezione.
