Extreme Polo Sport

How I wish I had known about this scent in the late nineties...it has almost all of my favorite notes in male frags. Instead of being Polo Sport EXTREME, it is Extreme Polo Sport. It is not just a stronger version of Polo Sport, it is its own being... A very aromatic green opening is made of juniper, bergamot and mint; crisp, green and fresh. The nutmeg and pepper add a balancing energy of smooth, warm spices-very invigorating! The heart is divine with heady cypress, guaiac wood and clary sage-woody and manly without being too heavy or strong. The base of smoky-sweet elemi and incense fused with sandalwood is smooth and sexy with an exotic feel with a bit of mystery. This is on my Top Ten Most Wanted of all time and if you ever get a chance to smell it, you'll see why...

This is a gem. It's Baldessarini with pepper on top. Not 100 percent but remarkably close to that. This is a fragrance for all seasons and all applications. I note that the pepper is apparent obviously at first blast, but disappears for a while only to re-emerge briefly as this fades to a skin scent and disappears altogether after 5-6 hours with a light-to-medium application. Although it fetches a premium price due to having been discontinued, its obscurity keeps that price somewhat reasonable relative to other discontinued colognes, making this an excellent value.

Criminally underrated, unfortunately hard to find, one of my fav frags of all time, don't currently own a bottle, I actually got one used in 1999, ive been longing for it since, might be time to source another bottle. it smells nothing like Azzaro visit or Swiss army altitude to me. gets 10/10 for uniqueness but also wearability, on my skin it lasted a while.

is it really a Sport fragance? would rank it as a seductive even a "panty dropper" term that i hate because it is you but this fragance is so interesting and compliment getter a rare gem by now

This was my favorite scent in highschool.. everyone around me hated it.... too bitter and peppery but I LOVED it and I'd always over-spray myself with this stuff. I wish they'd bring it back..

I had always wanted Extreme Polo Sport, 3 years ago found it online very affordable price for a discontinued fragrance. I’m a huge fan of RL Polo Sport, and had always been looking for this flanker. EPS is a green, citrusy with a little touch of woods at least on me, i can smell the bergamot, mint, sage, cypress and the elemi notes all the time from the start to end. It’s a fragrance that stays close to my skin, it doesn’t change much at all, projection is an arms length longevity around 4-5 hrs. I know I can’t expect a huge quality about it cuz it’s a vintage old formulation not a fresh one straight out of the RL counter, but it’s a good choice for everyday use, i like it for spring/summer time. The bottle and packaging came in really good condition, happy to have it on my Collection.

Very fresh perfume; it's green and peppery on the top and fruity at the heart. It gives a feeling of something very cold also, like a cold drink. I think Insensé Ultramarine Blue Sky is similar to Extreme Polo Sport, but the latter is better.

While nice, it's not the "pepper bomb" that I was expecting. I already have Comme des Garcons Blackpepper and Atelier Poivre Electrique, both Mack Daddies. There's no need stray (unless you are price sensitive).

Bought this back in 2001 or 2002 and would wear it at work. I recently went and purchased another bottle on eBay. Yes, it's a pepper bomb, but I like it, and it brings back memories. Ah, memories.

Was given to me, fresh and peppery, I think it's accurate to the bottle , it's nice but I don't use it often, pretty masc

Strange that I am/was a huge Polo Sport fan. Polo Sport my main fragrance in the 90s. Was extremely excited when they came out with Polo Sport Extreme. Got it...and absolutely hated it. The only thing I smelled when I wore it was the Bug Spray OFF. it really smelled just like OFF to me. Wound up tossing it when I moved...

I think it was 1998 when I asked my dad to bring Polo Sport for me when he went to our capitol city. Unfortunately they didn't have it so he brought Extreme Polo Sport instead. I didn't really dig it as I was into citrus/aqua fragrances back then (Biotherm Homme Aquafitness, Di Giorgio). EPS is very different from Polo Sport. It smells like a complete different fragrance. I am very happy my parents always kept the bottle, even when I moved out of the house and never really used it. It's pretty awesome how it still smells how I remembered it, 21 years have passed!! The juice remained in a good state. Now I actually do recognize Polo Sport in it. If Polo Sport is an acoustic song, Extreme Polo Sport is the electric version with lots of overdrive distortion on the guitars. It opens (and remains) very peppery, in a sweet and green way. I also smell sweet spices in the drydown. The guaiac and incense (with the pepper) give it a very light smoky, tingling vibe where mint and juniper berries are adding a clean, 'cold' touch. Definitely a summer scent for me. It's not necessarily classy. Interesting thing is the word "sport" in the name. With sport you think of very fresh, marine, aqua or citrus fragrances. Def not this. But, I can see myself wearing this AFTER a heavy 100km roadbike ride. Not during. That's misleading with the name. Also, it reminds me a bit of Visit for Men by Azzaro. If you take out the green mint and coriander notes, EPS comes 75% close to Visit. 6/10 for longevity. Becomes a skin scent within 2 hours. 7/10 for composition / blend.

Is it me or does this not smell very similar to ck be??? Either way, this is a really nice freshly, spicy, aromatic fragrance. Yes a lot of pepper but to me it gives this scent its backbone. No, this scent will not make you want to slam a Mountain Dew and bungee off off the Golden Gate Bridge but it smells great nonetheless. I have really been showing my 90s frags a lot more love and attention. Granted, i was 15-25 in the 90s so there is a tremendous amount of nostalgia, but the fragrances in that era were great. This one is dicontinued but easy to find reasonably-priced. Funny: I ordered this and ck be at the same time due to a sale i found. I never owned extreme sport, but i love it and will happily own this and ck be as well.

Excelente fragancia, la primera vez que la percibí fue a finales de la década de los 90's y era tan exquisita, todas las chicas me preguntaban por mi colonia. Hoy día casi más de una década después tengo lindos recuerdos de ella. Estoy a punto de comprar un frasco en 30 balas por internet. Excelentes recuerdos.

This smells like a weaker, more peppery 212 Men. And when I say weak, I mean WEAK. It’s gone in under an hour. There isn’t as much nostalgia tied in with this one for me as say Polo Sport or Polo Blue, but I definitely remember this one from the 90’s

LOL I remember this one. I bought it once because I thought it was the regular Polo Sport basically. If there was a pure pepper note fragrance - this is it. Pepper that hurt the nostrils. But it was still pretty cool and unique move from Polo.

Very similar to BANG by Marc Jacob! A truly underated fragrance.
