Polo Blue Parfum

Upon applying it, I was greeted with a very fresh, citrus-forward opening that I found enjoyable. It felt like the kind of fresh summer scent that would appeal to anyone. While I liked the initial burst, it wasn’t particularly unique—just your typical pleasant summer aroma. After about five minutes, the scent developed into something woodier. I also detected a nice vetiver note that brought a grassy, earthy quality to the fragrance. To add to it, a lovely lavender scent emerged alongside the vetiver, evoking that classic floral note found in many traditional men’s fragrances. Around the half-hour mark, the fragrance maintained its woody character while introducing a mildly smoky and sweet aroma that complemented the wood notes beautifully. The dry down was quite enjoyable and exceeded my expectations—something I didn't anticipate from a Polo fragrance. In terms of performance, during the first fifteen minutes, the scent projected about arm’s length from my skin. After that, it settled to within two feet for the remainder of the wear. While it may not be a strong projector, I was satisfied with its longevity, as it lasted about seven hours today. I'll admit, I’m not usually a fan of the Polo line; I find many of their scents to be outdated or a bit dull. However, this one pleasantly surprised me. Though the opening was similar to the original Polo Blue, the dry-down was impressive. I can definitely see myself enjoying this woody and sweet fragrance during the summer months. Honestly, I wouldn’t have considered buying this bottle had it not been for the sample. If I come across it at a reasonable price, I’ll definitely consider adding it to my collection, and I think you might be impressed by its quality too.

So I went to the mall (Macy's) bc I wanted a blue fragrance that was somewhat unique, fresh and clean. I tried Dylan Blue, Mont Blanc Ultra blue and a few other popular blue fragrances, but they all smelled similar and like run of the mill blues (shower gel). I had pretty much given up bc I didnt want to spend my hard earned cash on any pricey "Shower Gel" scents just bc they're popular, I just wasn't impressed. So, as I was leaving I stopped over at JC Penny, and the sales rep asked what I was looking for, so I explained that I was looking for a "unique Blue fragrance" he suggested Polo Blue Parfume which I would never have even thought of sampling, I had my doubts, but I tried it on and was BLOWN AWAY at how beautiful this scent actually is. Fantastic scent for almost any season, classy, mature and ultra clean and fresh. This scent is an absolute beauty which honestly made me fall in love with Ralph Laurens Frags all over again! Polo Blue Parfume inspired me to grab the OG Polo, and a couple other Polo Flankers, that's how impressed I was with this one. I've been buying a lot of Lattafa and Armafs lately bc the quality is really amazing, but when it came to Polo Blue, I didnt want to get an "inspired by" scent. This fragrance was worth the higher price tag so that I didnt have to sacrifice any aspect of it's beautiful, ultra smooth freshness.. Love at first sniff for sure.. 10 outta 10! Love! And my FAVORITE "Blue" to date.. and the complements?? EVERYTIME I WEAR IT!

Polo Blue Parfum is a fruity, aromatic and woody fragrance. Its opening is fresh, fruity and slightly spicy, the DNA of the Polo Blue line is immediately recognized. After a few minutes I noticed an earthy aroma, perhaps a consequence of the vetiver note. After 20 minutes the fragrance relaxes and continues to smell fruity, but with a greater concentration of woods and a little patchouli, and it remains that way until the end of its development. Polo Blue Parfum is a fragrance to be used on cool, temperate or even warm days. Although it is fresh, it has a portion of wood that gives it a little more versatility and more seriousness than the Eau de Toilette (EDT) version. The scenarios where I think it could be used would be office work, professional environments, family outings, etc. Its duration with me reached 8 hours, but with a medium to low sillage. Its aroma and performance is similar to what the Eau de Parfum (EDP) version had when it was just launched, so for now it is not bad, but we don't know if it will be maintained over time with the reformulations, because the EDP now lasts less. For those who already know the DNA of the Polo Blue line, the smell of this new fragrance will be recognizable and if you also like the line, you will not fail with this one because it is easy to like, otherwise I invite you to try it.

What is still (In MY opinion) THEE BEST "Designer Blue" on the market! I recall going to the mall last year in search of a "Blue" to add to my collection with the caveat that it needed to be atleast a little distinctive (as much as a Blue can be). I REALLY like Dior's Savage, but its so over utilized that it turned me off on grabbing a bottle, plus it ain't cheap. Tried Dylan Blue and many others, and they were nuce but they mostly just smelled like shower gel. Someone suggested Polo Blue Parfum which was NOT AT ALL even on my radar, but when I sprayed it on my arm and took a whiff... FIREWORKS IN MY NOSTRILS!! lol! What a BEAUTIFUL, very distinct fragrance! Ya can over-spray a bit for great longevity and never offend bc this dna is just so gorgeous and Sa-Mooooth, its a touch classy.. Yep! IMO, BEST DESIGNER BLUE around, even in 2025! Oh and NOT a "Beast", but def above average performance. And again, just over-spray a couple spritzes more than usual, get some on your shirt and your good ALLL DAY MY BRODDAS! And heck yeah this gets compliments (If your into that sorta thang).. lol... Im almost tempted to pick up a back-up bottle before they inevitably reformulate this potion, unless they already have??... Aaanyways, Thanks for taking the time folks!🫡

Clary sage and lavender are very prominent, mandarin orange is nice and juicy, the pink pepper is very light and inoffensive. Says the wood comes from oak but upon first wear I thought it was cedar but I guess I'm wrong. I also feel like there is some nice light white musk to help it sparkle a bit but I guess there isn't according to the profile up top (I'm certain there is musk in this lol). Patchouli is there in the far dry down and is really noticeable. The rest of the notes are kinda just there in the background. Honestly, this whole trend of bright sage and lavender aromatic scents is nice. Everything was super sweet for the last 10 years so this is a fun little shift. VERY similar to Aqua Di Gio Profundo. PBP is less aquatic ofc. Lasts pretty long but thats because of the parfum concentration. Projects pretty well despite the parfum concentration. Like all blues, its safe and versatile, nobody will dislike this and it will never be inappropriate in any scenario. Honestly, this is a very good fragrance and I will be wearing it alot in the summer since I got it as a gift. Is it worth paying full retail for a non ground breaking blue? Its pricey. Is it worth paying full retail for anything? Lol no. Have a great day and happy sniffing =)

I recall going to the mall maybe 3 or so years ago looking for my (missing) good quality "Blue" to add to my collection. The LAST fragrance I had on my mind to try was Polo Blue bc I wanted something "Unique"-and as.we.añl know, this fna has been around FOR'EVAH!! And so I'd tried Dior-Sauvage edp, Chanel -Bleu edp, Montale-Ultra Blue edp, and a few others, but although they all smelled great, they all seemed so similar to eachother, and just BORING to my nose, and I DID NOT want to pay well-over $100-$150 for just another "Blue Fragrance." Defeated, I left Macy's and as I was exiting the Mall through JC Penny (I believe it was), I noticed their fragrance section, so I though, Meh, why not?" An employee saw me looking through their testers, and when he'd asked what I was looking for, he'd recommend Polo Blue Parfume. Reluctantly, I did a couple spritzes on my arm and was BLOWN-AWAY at how freakin' insanely BEAUTIFUL Polo Blue Parfum was!

The best affordable blue fragrance I’ve found—fresh, classy. My hunt for a masculine daily blue scent ends with Polo Blue Parfum. After dozens of decants, this was the one that clicked. I sampled the EDT first and found it so effortlessly wearable that I immediately upgraded to the Parfum. Performance is exactly what you want from a daily signature—neither too loud nor too soft. It’s office-safe, blind-buy safe, and carries those refreshing shower-gel vibes that make it perfect for everyday use. I’ve tried Percival, Light Blue Intense, and Bleu Noir Extreme, but none felt as complete. If you like YSL Y Le Parfum, you’ll likely enjoy this too—Polo Blue Parfum has that same refined DNA, but with a smoother, barbershop nuance that makes it stand out. Signature scent material.

My God! This thing is amazing. I've never been excited about a flanker before but this well blended aquatic flanker of the OG blue changed my mind. Mind you, I have not smelt the OG for a long time and almost forgot about its existence. So one night, I've smelt this on my friend, and when I asked him, he didn't wanna tell me right away, he wanted me to guess. So I said "it's aftershave," and he says "no, just take a guess, it's a classic cologne". So I guess again: It's shower gel. He laughs at me and says "it's Polo Blue but it's the Parfum version". For me, parfums or elixirs are not my thing. I've never bought a fragrance unless it's the original version. Anyway, next time I go to Macy's, I know what I'm getting, even if I have to pay for the full retail price.

So here's my take.....I loved the old Blue EDP the DNA is unmistakably good and this is basically a richer, Id say denser, possibly more aquatic/refreshing take. Not necessarily a bad thing....but I just can't help but feel like I wanted more from this. I was kind of hoping RL would put more of a spin on it in some way, maybe twist the DNA in order to give it its own identity or have a stand out note that gave it a selling point, bit like deep blue with the Mango. Honestly though it's very linear and I really struggle to pick out any of the listed notes. All I smell is a bunch of sea notes and patchouli with some citrus on top, no woods here for me or vetiver.....Solid scent but just been left wanting more. 7/10

Damn awesome release, this to me is up there with polo red intense and deep blue , I really really love this. I mean what's not to love? Again I understand people want to be different, but I simply want to smell good...and releases like this really hit that mark. I think this year has been stellar for releases so far. This has nice depth to it as well, isn't really a freshie ...perhaps lends a little to being fresh, but has a nice deep aquatic feel to it, more oceanic like deep blue, really nice even tho it doesn't have aqua notes it still reminds me of a deep ocean type scent..really love the Vetiver and sage in this, just really really nice. I can’t believe I slept on this fragrance for three years—better late than never! I’m blown away by this scent, and while Acqua di Giò Parfum is my signature, Polo Blue Parfum is giving it serious competition. It’s like Acqua di Giò Parfum but richer, smoother, and slightly soapier with a deeper blue vibe. The projection is moderate but gives you a nice bubble. I haven’t switched my signature yet, but I’m reaching for this one more often. I used to struggle choosing between Acqua di Giò Parfum and Bleu de Chanel EDP, but this solves that dilemma. POV: It smells like a sharp, high-earning urban man in his 30s or 40s, fresh from a shower, living a luxurious downtown lifestyle.

Oh holy shit I just smelled this for the first time and it nearly knocked my dick clear off. Polo Blue EDT was my first fragrance love, like 15-20 years ago. It blew my mind back then. I recently upgraded to the EDP which is pretty much the same but lasts a little bit longer. But this, this is something different. It tickles my brain in the same way the EDT did all of those years ago. It's got the fresh Polo Blue DNA but it takes it in a spicier and deeper direction. I don't have any room in my collection for this, but I might have to get it anyway...

One of the most underrated blue fragrances/ hidden gem and the best designer blue fragrance imo. A top 3 Polo fragrance for sure. Yes it is fresh (with little to no sweetness, which I love), but rather than just fresh, the resinous/vetiver/cypress quality makes it so refined and mature. It takes it up a notch from a Versace Dylan Blue or YSL Y in wearability from casual wear to black tie. An excellent substitute to BDC if you are looking for refined designer blue fragrances. I put it above BDC as Polo Blue Parfum is more versatile of a wear.

The blue category is oversaturated for sure, but in my warm environment, it's a staple in my collection. I really do adore something out of the ordinary, but as far as picking a basic blue fragrance, this is my favorite, beating out many others including the Blue de Chanel EDP. It's new and en Vogue. In 2022 RL has found a way to blend the "now" note clary sage into the classic DNA of polo blue. What this sacrifices in freshness, it gains in complexity. It is a refined, darker version of the original, but still safe for all occasions.

Alright I have a question. Lol. I just picked up polo blue eau de parfume as it says on the bottle and box. But the bottle and color looks like the Parfume. Not the lighter colored bottle with silver shoulders. It says EDP but it’s on the darker bottle and Ralph Lauren engraved on the atomizer and RL on cap and top of atomizer. I’m not sure which one it is. Maybe they discontinued the original EDP and Ralph Lauren decided to brand the parfume as just eau de parfume??? Not sure which one I’m smelling but all I can say is it’s divine!!

Out of the 23 fragrances I've tested from the Macy's discovery set this was easily favorite. It is very close to polo Deep Blue but more balanced and longer lasting. The main difference in the two is the opening is slightly more tropical with deep blue and the drydown of the Parfum is much better blended than Deep Blue. I haven't tried the edp so I can't comment on the similarities... This stuff in a pinch I would describe as a slightly less woody Sauvage without the metallic note. It's a love for me 9/10

This is like a Bleu De Chanel Parfum of Polo Blue. The scent overall is deeper, richer and more luxurious while retaining the overall freshness of the original. The opening is unmistakably Polo Blue but as it dries down, it becomes more aquatic and more similar to Acqua di Gio Profumo because of the patchouli. Easy to like, leans more nighttime wear and very mass appealing. This took a lot of inspirations from Giorgio Armani ADG and Dior Sauvage while staying true to the Polo Blue DNA.

Nice addition to the polo blue line up! Right off the bat it has a slight smell of polo blue gold blend with a bubblegum mixture but in a good way. Settles to be very smoky and sensual and I love it. I’m honestly enjoying this frag very much and feel it can be worn year round, just gotta go easier on sprays during the colder months. Only downside is I wish it would project more and have more longevity considering its a parfum. Overall, pretty good frag. Rating: 7.5/10

Always thought Polo Green was nice but also dated. This one revived it but in the best possible way. This one took a touch of that green polo dna in the opening but added mandarin, oak, vetiver, and frankincense in a way to make it smell more modern and fresh. These notes really shine in the drydown. Performance is good. I keep getting whiffs of it hours later. This could easily be a daily driver for me. Perfect for all seasons really.

This is the final boss of “blue” fragrances. It has a very tasteful and clean scent profile while being sophisticated and complex through its bright citrus, and masculine cardamom. This was my first cologne that I ever got, and it’s done me well. For me it lasts decently long I’ve gotten many compliments from this, and it lasts a decent amount of time. it’s a very beautiful bright and smooth fragrance.

Fresh, aromatic, clean, soapy, mineral-musky and wet/damp. Clean and smooth cardamom, lavender and sage. Among the fresh herbaceous notes is a damp wetness, soap left in the shower, boys bathroom type thing. It’s very unique and enjoyable to my nose. Mature but youthful. Projects well, sticks within your bubble and to fabrics nicely throughout the day. Excellent easy to wear everyday fragrance.

I really liked Deep Blue Parfum but thought the performance was anemic. I was hoping this would solve that and it does....somewhat. It becomes a skin scent after about 3 hours and lasts around 6 which is better than DBP. I don’t get the comparisons to ADG Profumo as that isn’t spicy at all compared to this. I’ve tried all the Polo Blues and would say this is probably the best.

It’s a bit nostalgic but very modern at the same time, safe and clean lavender bomb with a little something marine darker driftwood-ish that elevates it and makes it a tad more unique, great for professional settings. I really dig it, fantastic everyday wear, only shortcoming is that it is an average performer but it projects well within the first hour.

Instantly loved it! Juicy citrus and invigorating herbaceous notes abound. The spices are tame and add necessary body to the composition. A woody base underlies it all. No, it’s not groundbreaking, but there’s something more opulent about this than the typical blue fragrance. I went through the sample quickly and bought a bottle today. I’m hooked.

I can confidently say that Polo Blue Parfum has been the ONLY blue fragrance that I can actually stand. Never liked BDC or Sauvage, but this is immaculate. If you have bdc, you’ll find this redundant. However, this to me is a more mature take on bdc. 9/10. I get 7 hrs from this

less fresh than edt, which i used heavily during college days that after I had to take a break from it for more than a decade, but blind bought edp which is a mature version, love it. give it a 8/10

Best in the polo Blue line-up. Subdued freshness in the beginning and wonderfully aromatic in the dry down which smell like the soil of a garden right after rainfall. Superb!!

I may be biased because this fragrance gives me a nostalgic feeling but I absolutely adore it. Polo blue parfum is the first blue fragrance to last more than 3hrs on my skin.

To me it smells like polo blue edt with a heavy dose of oak. I absolutely love the smell of oak and this actually performs pretty well. Not a beast but gets the job done.

Safe daily wear, easy grab! Smells so clean and fresh and lasts forever. Classic shower gel scent that lasts. If you like smelling clean all day than this is for you.

Dylan Blue is leagues better and like a fourth of the price. Ralph Lauren continues to disappoint. Polo is like the dollar store shit you see kids wearing

Love this fragrance. It is a compliment magnet. It could perform longer (it is a parfum), but it's 5-6 hr, tops.

First initial wearing review !! I like this one a lot but just falls short of a love !!! In a nutshell for a guy walking into Macys just wanting a fresh/clean scent to wear as a signature scent I think this will do wonders !! However if you’re a fragrance enthusiast you will probably think this is boring. The scent on its own however is great !!! It’s a fresh,pleasant smelling soapy/shower gel scent that will have you smelling clean,and polished all day !! Polo blue opens up very fresh,smooth and like a really nice shower gel !! In the opening you will be reminded of the OG but after it dries down it does get different ! The mid is my least favorite part (though still pleasant) as it smells very green, but also somewhat aquatic as well and that jasmine gives it a nice touch as well. One reviewer said this smelled like dirty pine needles and in the mid of this fragrance I can see the resemblance. On my skin anyways the drydown is where it’s at as you get the fresh green vibe but then when the oak and olibanum kicks in it gives this fragrance some depth,richness and really rounds out this scent giving it some character!!! I LOVE oak in a fragrance and it was the perfect note to add in this. Also in the drydown this smells nice off skin but in the air it smells amazing !!! Performance has been great ! Decent projection for an hour but quickly dies down to a decent scent bubble until the 8 hour mark. Also to note is for a freshie it has great sillage as well. Overall rating -7.75 out of 10 !! I think this scent will grow on me but as of right now I can’t quite give it an 8 out of 10 as I like it a lot but not in love

Today I’m looking at another Polo Blue flanker, this time the Parfum. The first thing you notice is that the Parfum drops the signature fresh, melon-like opening found in the EDT and EDP. Instead, you get a citrusy mandarin orange paired with a slightly spicy, sweet edge from cardamom. It still clearly sits in the Polo Blue DNA though, with that clean sage and aquatic backdrop running through it. As it dries down after 20–30 minutes, it becomes noticeably woodier than the other flankers. You get more defined woody undertones, with lavender and vetiver adding structure. From around an hour onward, it deepens into oak and patchouli, bringing warmth and earthiness, while a subtle sweetness from olibanum adds a soft balsamic touch. Compared to the EDT and EDP, you can think of it as removing the freshness and replacing it with a darker, sweeter mandarin opening, while pushing the woods to the forefront for a more refined feel. If you’ve tried Polo Deep Blue Parfum, the dry down is somewhat similar, though this one leans a bit more woody and less marine-heavy. I don’t think it would be redundant to own this even if you already have the EDT, since it offers a noticeably different opening and a more woody, grown-up take on the Polo Blue DNA. It’s versatile enough to dress up or down and works best in warm to mild-cool weather. It feels like a more polished, modern interpretation of the line that still keeps that familiar blue, aquatic identity but shifts it into something deeper and more mature without losing wearability. Really good stuff.

This is a good composition, and combo of aromatics along with nondescript woods. "Clary sage" in fragrances never smells like the real plant to me, and it's actually a good thing, as the herb itself can be pretty overbearing and distinct. This is nice, a little oldschool, and decidedly masculine (no added sugar here, or vanilla to round it out) while being blended very well. It's difficult to pick up on one singular note beside the opening citrus, because everything is at an even pitch. It's a little spicy and I actually think that when I focus on this, I smell the pink pepper more than anything else. It's definitely a cousin to Bleu de Chanel, and I almost enjoy this more? It's a little deeper, and the longevity is a notch better. It's earthier. As it hits it's final drydown phase after hours of wear it settles into something nearly incense-y. It's resinous, but not at all churchy or temple smelling, but whatever is here to create the olibanum accord is quite convincing and it has a special appeal to it that's difficult to explain. It's odd that people are describing this as if it's a boring mainstream release, because that olibanum tone is lovely and different enough from a bunch of other frags. Not crazy unique, but not boring. I really think this is good, though admittedly I'm not at all invested in the Polo fragrances and their history. Maybe I'd feel differently if I were a guy who lived through many releases if theirs? But from a casual female nose, I appreciate this a lot.

Have recently tested Chanel Bleu EDP and Parfum versions and Dylan Blue. Out of those three, I decided to get FBs of Chanel Bleu EDP and Dylan Blue. Chanel Bleu EDP strikes me as a more formal blue fragrance while Dylan Blue is fresher. Now I come to Polo Blue Parfum. It comes across to me as also being on the more formal/mature side, similar the Chanel Bleu EDP. (I'd say the Chanel Bleu Parfum version is the most formal/mature.) To be clear, all four fragrances I've mentioned here are not super sweet; I do not like very sweet fragrances. So, I guess it would be safe to say that all four fragrances are more mature; none of them would appeal to the bubblegum boys. What I found most unique with Polo Blue Parfum is that it settles down into an awesome soapy scent which I found to be really nice. That would make it particularly good for warmer days. Performance all the way around is moderate; I'd rate its performance slightly less than the Chanel Bleu and Dylan Blue. Finally, given that I like Polo Blue Parfum, I have to decide on how many blue fragrances I need. While I do like the soapy aspect, at this point I'll put it on my 'maybe buy in the future list.' However, that shouldn't detract others from making this their blue fragrance, because it's really nice. If I'd have changed the order of my testing and buying, I might have ended up with an FB of Polo Blue Parfum.

I will review this again after a few wearings but on the first wearing, I was not impressed from this standpoint: uniqueness within its own blue flankers. If you like the blue line, this one ties them all together. It has a little of the EDP with some of the Gold blend, while maintaining the blue DNA from the EDT. I was hoping that the performance was going to be better with the concentration amped up, but sadly no. The EDP lasts longer. This flanker has an old school white foaming shaving cream (Barbasol) so it gives a very masculine trail. Polo has been doing things differently in the last two years, and I was hoping this was going to be different too, but sadly it is just like the other blues. Don't get me wrong, it smells great. What I AM saying is that if you have the others, don't bother buying this one, it smells the same. Just layer deep blue with gold and EDP and there you go! Blue Perfume!

This is one of those designer release that’s just a little bit better than you’d guess. The opening and mid are truly well done with a nice blend of fresh aromatics lifting a rich mandarin note. The base is mild and doesn’t have the longevity I’d prefer but with an opening that pleasant it’s a pleasure to re-apply. Projection during the first hour is solid, slowly inching closer after that. Silage is moderate, but attractive. I feel it wears more like an EDP then a true parfum. I really think this is a profile that Polo could hang its hat on as it feels very much like a classic Polo release. But there is cost cutting apparent in the drydown. If they ever care to get that sorted they’d have a real hit. **edit - it occurred to me I’ve been testing this during the fall, which is fine scent wise, but the formulation might work better during the warmer months. Food for thought.

I had a sneaking suspicion that this one would get discredited immediately, not only for being "just another flanker" but specifically "just another BLUE flanker." It's actually a really good fragrance, though, and I'm happy to see others agree with me. This is what I imagine the original Polo Blue smelled like in its heyday: sporty, fresh out of the shower vibe, the ultimate daily driver for the man who *just wants to smell good.* It's similar to Polo Blue Eau de Parfum in this regard but just a little deeper (which makes sense, given the concentration), but it's still very, VERY easy to wear; just about any guy could pull this off in any setting, though I'd say it leans casual. This fragrance will bore niche fragrance enthusiasts to tears. It's not even remotely unique. But the execution is on point. Highly recommended.

I love blues, but never tried RL blue line; in fact, the last RL I had was Polo Sport in the 90s, my first perfume. Saw the reviews online and thought this was interesting. Tried the Blue line at a local store but didn't really liked the edt and edp. However, it was intriguing. Tried the parfum at my local Macy's and was the best in the line for me. I think the entire Blue line has this 90s, OG feel to it. Maybe that's why some describe it as boring, generic and all that jazz. But that's what makes this line Polo Blue. Unique to its name. And this one has a nice contemporary twist that makes it very pleasant. This was exactly what I was looking for. Safe, dumb, the REAL "boring generic" blue, IN THE BEST WAY.

It smells like a more complex version of the original. It’s more of a soap vibe rather than a shower gel vibe. Sounds weird but I get like this high-end dish soap/laundry type of smell but in a really nice, mellow, calming way. I envision expensive sheets I would not be able to afford hanging in the sun. It is well blended, very smooth. It smells fresh and the silage is addicting. Clean, fresh, well blended modern perfumery. Excellent. Worth choosing over the original. This has macerated over the months since and it has become even better. Very addicting. It is even smoother and just it smells so good. This is damn near a masterpiece. Don’t sleep on it. It’s one of my favorite fragrances and I have ALOT.

Surprisingly underperformance for a parfum. I've got a good sample and been testing this one out for the last few days. The smell is not pungent and lasting like a parfum is, notes of sweetness overcome the profile from the EDT. I sprayed on my 5yo and I can definitely say it suits him more than it did me. I've even found this to not be as masculine as I expected, meaning this can very well behave as a signature scent for everyday use to someone younger, say high school even. Not worth the upgrade to parfum, where the EDP and EDT are well suited for the "same" performance. I enjoy the smell, but not something I'd recommend. This one checks all the boxes but doesn't do anything too well.
