Polo Earth

Definitely reminds of the original JV Artisan as well as Artisan Pure. It’s that orange blossom that really reminds me of Artisan, and the more earthy, grainy/textured elements that remind me of Artisan Pure. They definitely all fall into the same category, and it’s a category I love. This one is quite surprising and unexpected from Ralph Lauren, honestly. It’s amazing. It smells more like a niche unisex fragrance than a designer, hands down. Incredibly natural, uplifting, refreshing, yet soothing. Leans more male IMO, though yes it’s definitely a unisex scent. It’s got a slight touch of rugged earthiness which pushes it more into male territory, but of course the florals smooth it out and keep it wholly unisex. Longevity and projection are surprisingly good. As far as scent profile, this is along the lines of the Tom Ford unisex frags and some of the early JV Artisan line. Easy to wear, light, breezy, soothing, and incredibly natural. Very Italian to my nose... reminds me of a beautiful Italian shore in the spring breeze. Incredible

Firmly unisex, niche leaning, and beautifully fresh. This is possibly the first and only neroli that I can still smell on my clothes the next day. It is very similar to classic cologne fragrances like 4711 and TF Neroli Portofino, but there’s something with a little bit of depth that gives it support and longevity. As others have said the opening is pure citrus and a little lavender, but the drydown is really when this fragrance becomes BEAUTIFUL. Polo Earth rides out on the skin as a neroli and sage scent. The neroli stays very true and strong throughout- those who are familiar with neroli fragrances knows that this is no easy feat. The sage and musk add a fuzzy greenness to the whole thing that takes it in a comforting, almost spa-like direction. This beautiful fragrance almost feels like it has come from the house of Jo Malone- it’s uncomplicated, fresh, and very very versatile. Polo Earth is a graceful EDT cologne. Quite lovely.

Love it! Big fan of this scent profile. A higher quality, higher definition version of Banana Republic Neroli Woods to me. Slightly more unisex and more playful than Bvlgari Wood Neroli, but same ballpark.. similar woody base. Polo Earth has that sexy floral element to it that reminds me of Artisan Pure. Next association would be 4711, but 4711 is of course more sharp and focused on orange blossom and citrus rather than woods and florals. Mugler being more green, and Acqua di Parma Colonia and Essenza being more complex and soapy, are not as similar to me, even though they are related, like cousins. Overall a nice pickup on discounters if you're a fan of the fragrances I mentioned above and neroli/cologne style in general. Could be redundant to some, but I can't get enough of this DNA. I got the gift set with the travel atomizer and lotion cause I knew they would get plenty of use during the spring and summer.

Polo Earth is a walk through a morning wood in late spring. Honeysuckle and magnolia in full bloom as citrus, mint, and fresh green scents waft by on rose and neroli laden breezes. The air is crisp and the sun warm as you stroll past mossy cedars swaying gently; their roots tugging at dew dampened earth. From the strong citrus and mint opening through to the warm vetiver and mild musk dry down, a squeaky clean neroli persists throughout. For me this is a definite winner and one I will reach for often in spring and summer. The scent projects well past the 6 hour mark on my skin and the bright combination of florals and citrus are grounded by musk and vetiver. While I bought this blind because I found a great deal on a 3.4 oz bottle, I would highly recommend trying it out first. I can see how Polo Earth may not be for everyone yet, for those who love neroli, I’d say it’s definitely worth your consideration.

Even though it's not a clone by any means, to me this is very reminiscent of John Varvatos Artisan Pure and, to a lesser extent, Prada Amber Pour Homme. It smells like a fancy hotel soap with a citrus twist. I like it a lot, and for a Polo fragrance this actually lasts a long time on my skin, about 5-6 hours, so don't let the "sustainable ingredients" marketing put you off on trying it. This is a very nice unisex fragrance and a well-timed release for the Spring, and easily my new favorite Ralph Lauren of the past year. Just a note, for anyone looking to try Polo Earth at Macy's, it was at the women's perfume counter at the store where I got mine.

Polo Earth is one of those fragrances that I just can’t stop smelling. It’s orange, it’s green, it’s fresh, it’s clean. Comparisons, a better executed Clinique Happy or a greener Tom Ford NP. The quality of the fragrance really seems quite high and I never find it overwhelming. I reach for it even when another fragrance might be more appropriate. Do not expect amazing projection and I think you’ll be satisfied, assuming you like citrusy green fragrances. The orange may be a bit literal for some, but it works for me. Not as literal Atelier orange though. Price is ok. I’ll probably buy the refill.

So I had no idea that Polo had released this (I've not been keeping up with everything). I saw it at Ulta and figured I'd try it.... a very nice unisex offering! I get the neroli, and woods, along with a slight powdery dry down. I was a little worried about seeing mint in the notes, but I don't pick it up at all. It's aromatic and woodsy to my nose, calming. I think it would a great summer fragrance, but I can see it working in all temps and seasons. I'm really glad I tried this because I've ordered a bottle and can't wait to get it. A must-try if you like the aromatic, woodsy stuff!

I really enjoy this freshie. Neroli, mandarin, petitgrain, citrus minty on a musky/woody /earthy base. It reminde a bit of Mugler Cologne. Love Love love the fresh and earthy combo on my skin...really intoxicating for me, I cant stop sniffing my wrist. I ́m a big neroli fan and if you layer this one with neroli Oil from nuxe - you ́re in heaven. Longevity and silage could have been better, but for the price tag its all okay. Respray as much as you like, you wont get ruined.

What a fantastic gem. Polo Earth is a traditional cologne with long lasting batteries. It starts with neroli and petitgrain, already a refreshing and happy pair. Some very light citrus notes linger around. By the way it develops I can tell that this is not a simple, fleeting cologne. There’s a slight tea/aquatic note that helps with the transition to the herbal notes. It stays very clean, green and somehow it feels very “natural”. Definitely a surprise from RL.

High end spa in the French Riviera. Spray this all over and feel the zen. It’s so fresh and clean but it doesn’t smell like lemon pledge - as so many summery citruses do. Definitely unisex, herbaceous without being masculine and floral without being feminine. I get good performance for an EDT - it lasts 4-5 hours on skin. I got a large bottle and I plan to bathe in it until fall arrives. It was under $100 so I won’t even feel bad about overspraying.

Smells heavenly and performs ! When you consider the amazing citrus and floral profile look at the fact that other scents in this vein and so much more expensive and don’t perform any better. This smells like a modern Dior Eau Savage, and a great option to Tom Ford Neroli Portofini . My wife and I have a huge fragrance collection and this will hold its own against some of the finest summer scents.

Sampled this in Myer earlier this morning. Like a cross between Mugler Cologne and TF Neroli Portofino. About 5-6 hours staying power. Moderate projection. This’ll absolutely bang on a warm summer’s day. A really uplifting scent. Owned a couple of Ralphies in the distant past. Not really smelled any to write home about recently. However, this is definitely on the list for next summer.

I really like this. I'm not the biggest connoisseur of colognes so can't compare, but to me, I can definitely smell citrus, flowery/rose, soap, and wood. Great combo. Definitely unisex - at times I think it's feminine (the flowery) and others think it's masculine (the soapy/woody). Wish they would come out with a deodorant, but know that would totally break the unisex ethos...

I was hoping for something like 4711 or Tom Ford Neroli Portofino but long lasting and affordable and that's exactly what I got. I like that it's 97% natural oils. I get about 6 or 7 hours before it becomes a skin scent. Projects really well until then. John Varvatos Artisan Pure is another good alternative which is a bit less soapy and more fruity than Polo Earth

I got this today at. Sephora half-off. I’m a female and find it very unisex. It’s juicy and fresh in a green herbal way and not a fruity or citrus way. It will be a great summer sleeping scent in my opinion. Clean and herbal with vibes similar to (not a dupe of) Gucci Memoire, TF’s NP or Manarin di Amalfi Aqcua.

the beginning is smooth neroli, orange blossom, lavender ylang ylang and vetiver, you can smell it all at once its amazing how well the blending is, the citrus comes out in the heat, its weak but clean and natural. An amazing budget fragrance. if tom ford released this i wouldnt question it.

I spend a lot of time in Hawaii and I'm always searching for something that captures Hawaii in a bottle and Polo Earth is very close. Hawaiian Leis, refreshing fruits, and lush greenery can all be found in Polo Earth. I can close my eyes and be instantly transported by this fragrance.

I am in awe that the rating for this fragrance is below a 4!! This is classy, masculine, and perfect for summer.... and it lasts and projects. I live in the desert and it’s amazing. Reminds me of Dior Eau Savage but with better performance

I like this one. Tried a sample and then bought a bottle. To me it has a spring rain, mossy type smell. Seems to last a long time, and the scent hangs fairly close so you aren't blowing out the room with odor.

Honestly it's nothing like Neroli Portofino—It's closer to Guerlain Nerolia Vetiver Forte if anything, with the natural zest of John Varvatos Artisan Pure. One of the best commercial offerings in awhile!

I tried this at Ulta and it is gorgeous. I echo a lot of the positive comments here. Very fresh, outdoorsy and happy. I will probably have to get the travel size.

Love this upper scale Neroli, solid release and just nice. Unisex but leaning man, I am seeing a wearable Dunhill Century type green in this. Thumbs up!

Citrus and neroli reminds me of Neroli Portofino. Can't wait for the scent to develop, but I'm a big fan of both new Polo offerings this year.

Appreciate the effort, I like green nerolis but this one kind of have that chemical bugspray vibe.

I knew it was a gem when I first smelled it. Need the whole series now.

If TF Neroli Portofino was crossed with Dior Eau Savage

This review is based on a spritz at Sephora today. I like this! To me, it's a pleasant citrus-y, floral, slightly green fragrance that reminds me of something from my teenage days in the disco era. And I'm getting a lot of musk in the base notes - a soft, 'white' musk. I'd say it would be great in warm weather! Of course, if anyone wants to wear it in cold weather, I say go for it! I was surprised to read other reviews criticizing the longevity. One spritz on my forearm lasted for...3, maybe 4 hours before becoming a skin scent. And I have dry, perfume eating skin! To my nose, Polo Earth seems like more of a feminine scent, but if guys want to wear it, enjoy! Quite possibly other notes would come out on other people; I suspect this scent can be very different depending on body chemistry. Will I buy a bottle? Probably not because I have a lot of other fragrances to use up. I'd say it's a pretty safe blind buy if you like this type of scent. And I also think it would be a good office scent, and a good choice for a gift. The only thing I'd criticize with respect to this fragrance is that it's not terribly distinctive. It almost seem like something from Bath and Body Works. On the other hand, it's not super sweet, or aggressively floral, or extremely musky. I think it will appeal to a lot of people. Edit: This reminds me of the Jovan Individuality Earth fragrance that came out in the late 90s or 2000. Although the Jovan Earth was a lot more sweet and floral and definitely aimed at women. Polo Earth is more complicated with herbal and spicy notes.

Someone beat me to the punch on reminding me of Artisan Pure.. it’s weird though, it’s not as similar as I imagined at first, I sprayed my shirt today with my Artisan Pure (one of my all time favs) to refresh my memory, not the same by any means but definitely in the same family. I sprayed the Polo Earth on a scent strip today at Macy’s, didn’t care for it at first, but carried it around the mall. After a short while and a little dry down, I completely changed my mind. It wasn’t until later that it actually reminded me of AP. And it really grew on me. It’s now over 8 hours later and I still smell it on the strip and I love it. Same as my initial experience with AP actually, didn’t like it at first but then loved it later. I can’t say that it beats Artisan, but it’s too new. We’ll see though. Also, I’m a man, I can see how it could be categorized as unisex. I do get a sense of masculinity to it though personally. I’d have to spray it on my skin to really get a feel, which I am looking forward to doing now. Nice job Polo! Totally different for their brand. I love several of theirs, my current favorite being Polo Blue EDP. The Deep Blue is also very nice (same DNA but it’s own thing). They tend to have unique, high quality fragrances, and I think this new Earth is a good addition.

Immediately get zesty lemon citrus burst. The petitgrain, neroli, honey blossom, mandarin is all strong but you can pick each one out. Citrusy, green and zesty. Its very bright and refreshing. As it dries the orange blossom is prominent, followed by rose and lavendar stick out to my nose. The citrus fades to a bitter and sweet green accord. Its very enjoyable and soothing. The cedar is subtle. I get mostly citrus and floral greenery. The sillage is close to the body. Longevity is not great. Disappears on my skin within a couple hours. Im not sure if this is considered a unique scent but its enjoyable and I would think mass appealing. Im not one for summer freshness (its my least favorite season, I am an autumn and winter lover). Its very unisex and pleasing. Its so sweet you almost want to taste it. It wouldnt be my first reach for summer, i prefer more bitter green vetivers or "Teal" for summer. Cant go wrong with it, the Neroli and orange blossom is so enjoyable.

This is a beautifully balanced and well-crafted fragrance. A fresh burst of citrus that settles down into an earthy, warm, comforting scent. The heart smells exactly like the discontinued unicorn, Byredo Green. Major difference is that this doesn’t have that soapiness that is signature to Byredo. Both fragrances share petitgrain, sage, rose, and musk notes. Green is squarely unisex, maybe leans ever so slightly towards the masculine side, Polo Earth leans towards the feminine. I decluttered Green because of this soapy + masculine aspect, and feel this may be full bottle worthy since this is the feminine, non-soapy answer to Green.

I just picked up a little bottle of this today. My husband really enjoyed it and so did I. We plan on sharing the bottle. This is very unisex and has good lasting power. It starts off w/ a big blast of neroli, soapy clean neroli. As the perfume progresses it becomes a slightly minty and herbal citrus floral w/ dominate orange blossom. It becomes muskier in the dry down w/ a nice vetiver. Nothing groundbreaking, we've all smelled it before, but it is a clean classic unisex summer perfume that is nice to have in any collection. I can see my husband reaching for this more than me but it is very nice.

I tested this today at shop. Oh boy, I didn't expect anything like this from Polo. Don't get me wrong, many Polo perfumes are really nice for men, but this polo Earth is interesting, very Italian or Grasse type perfume, how come it's under US brand ? It's more like niece to guerlain aqua allegoria family. Very very happy surprise to find new designer perf like this, after all those overly sweet candy bottles. We have bvlgari wood neroli at home, it's much sharper, herbal scent, this polo earth is rounded with more soapy soft lines; very very clever mix, skin scent, cannot over spray, I think.

When I saw the commercial, before placing the order, I developed the impression that it would be a perfume whose concept matters more than the perfume itself. It is 97% made of natural-origin ingredients, and it's vegan. After receiving it and trying it, I have to say that it's not disappointing, although it's not special with some 'wow' factors. It opens with citrus scents, with some bitterness from neroli. It smells clean, fresh and bit soapy. Then it gives some floral scents, but not very strong. As expected, it doesn't last very long.

I never thought the words "I really like this Ralph Lauren" would escape my lips but hey, here we are. Fresh, bright, earthy dry down (almost dirty but in a great way). I was not expecting quality like this from RL. Bravo, they've managed to capture my interest for the first time, ever. I'll obviously wait for it to hit Discounters but I'll grab it when it does. It didn't floor me but it also didn't have me walking away disappointed either, so from this house, I take that as an impressive feat.

A casual, sunny day type of scent. Nice and fresh. It reminds me of Lush's Pansy/The Olive Branch (although I haven't directly compared them yet). I think it could be a nice office scent for someone who wants something less "perfume-y," since on me it's a skin scent within 30 minutes. I'm probably biased in favor of Polo Earth just because I've never met a neroli/orange blossom/bergamot scent I haven't liked!

Very similar to Durance Fresh Mint but not that menthol as Durance. So it's down to preference between those two. I think Durance is more medicinal, more sharp but also more unique. Whereas Polo is more calm and smoother but also more common. Polo could be described as more safe scent. I liked it but not sure it's full bottle worthy as I have Durance.

This fragrance deserves much more love. I smelled this on accident while at a polo outlet store. To my nose this is a natural-smelling green, citrusy kinda smell. It's a super easy reach in the warmer weather making it perfect for spring and summer. Its still unique enough to get attention at a super-friendly price. This will be in my daily rotation.

I like this smell profile. It is a little similar to Polo Green. At least, that's what i thought on first smell. I just tried it again and i can't say I love it as much anymore. I certainly dont want to buy it anymore. It is too much like air freshener for me. If i see it on discount or mass discount ill get it but otherwise, ill refrain.

I’ll start by saying I like this fragrance on my boyfriend. I think this is a true unisex scent for those who are open to unisex fragrances. That being said, all I smell is scented sunscreen, but not in a bad way. It’s like you’re heading to the water on a summer day. Clean, fresh, and good silage.

This is such a fresh, juicy and beautiful perfume. I’ve let it mancerate for a couple of months and man it has aged as fine wine. This is giving Clean-girl vibes. It’ll be well used this summer, that’s for sure! ❤️

It’s refreshing Neroli and once it’s completely dried down she’s a beauty. I can see why it’s classified as unisex. I don’t get any “ bug spray / insect repellent” thing in the opening at all.

Very pretty and light. Unisex, but I believe it leans slightly feminine. It smells like a soapy spa in the woods. Non-offensive, but not ground breaking either.

Takes me right back to the 1990's when every perfume was a rebellion against the 1980's. Nice enough, but in no way revelatory or original.

I like it. Super fresh. Main notes I get are Neroli and Lemon. Super crisp. Great for summer and day wear. Unisex for sure.

Acqua di Parma Essenza inspiration. Great scent, but too similar to others out there.

Neroli portofino + EA green tea + lavender

So, no ‘Earth’ here (and weird all-around name-bottle-marketing-polo branding, etc. Did Ralph Lauren fall off his horse and hit his head)? The frag is clean, sweet, light and eminently appropriate to gift to your teen daughter or her friends (if they are good-girls); your favorite kindergarten teacher; a grad gift for the class president, etc. On me, on the opening, there is a promising slightly herbal citrus, gone too soon. On the dry down, it is cool air and sunshine: easy to wear (almost lactonic) soapy cleanness of neroli + slight roundness of ylang+trace of musk. You can wear it all the time and anywhere. No one will hate it. They will all think your personal hygiene is excellent. Kids will hug you because you will smell soft and comforting. I like it fine. I’m just not that kind of girl (I do like it better than Neroli Portifono as it does not hit any of the sunscreen associations. A better dupe for the $.) a weird surprise from Polo.

Purchased this last week at 20 percent off and here’s my honest opinion on it. First off once you spray you get a burst of neroli and citrus which is okay but smells quite feminine, if that’s what you’re into. Once you get to the mid it smells like neroli and jasmine (jasmine not listed as an ingredient). Once you get to the fry down it’s quite masculine but I would still consider it unisex. It’s an okay floral and slight citrusy fragrance but I’d recommend smelling it before purchasing, don’t blind buy this one. I purchased the smallest bottle and was lucky enough to return it so that’s what I did after a week of owning it and wearing it a few times. Wasn’t for me but who knows can be for you but just sample it first. Many other options in the market for that price. Overall rating 6/10. Lasts like 3 hours on skin and about 5 hours on clothing. Okay fragrance not the best
