Kokain

Kokain is easily one of my best blind buys. i'm obsessed with the smell of petrol, gasoline and diesel. i bought this in 2023 from a German reseller on ebay. while i admit i was disappointed that it doesn't smell like gasoline throughout, i find that Kokain dries down into a sort of comforting santal-like scent with a hint of old, musky leather. it's warm and inviting, yet kind of cold. it smells like my vintage leather bag and old leather biker jackets or boots. i don't smell much of the fruity notes but i do get hints of patchouli and iris. i think the iris brings out the leatheriness of the scent, and with the patchouli it really helps paint the picture of old leather. combined with the gasoline note, Kokain to me smells like what i'd imagine a hug from a lover who's part of a biker group might smell like. is it necessarily addictive? probably not for most. but to me, Kokain feels familiar and inviting, and has me wanting more. i wish i could still purchase regularly; it was a pain to hunt for this and i was so lucky to receive it brand new in its box and still wrapped. i've used it very sparingly since and am still on the hunt for something similar.

The opening is much harsher than Tuscan Leather, with more gasoline than leather. It dries down to an initial laundry sheet smell, but after a few hours it's much softer on skin, not as smooth or refined as TL but it's a very similar scent and the raspberry is there with some low key leather. So far this is the softest of the Rammstein Kokain range that I've tried, the black ash and gold variations have more leather and spice. I would definitely say this is unisex - I'm completely happy to wear it as a man but it would equally suit a lady, with the right look. I paid 25eur for a bottle and at that price it's a bargain. Looks like it might be discontinued now unfortunately, I found it on the shelf in Mueller in Germany but it wasn't available online.

Contemporary excellence of perfume art. Reminiscence of clean, of pure. Bright and calm mood juice. Pure white scent, without any vanilla, sugarry or milky dirt on it... The idea of how does it smell is stg. like: The Aura of "Zen Surgeon Genie" arround you. It owns such versatility... it has the ability to be used in so many different occasions or activities. I do not remember any of perfumes that could be used in gim, as signature scent, and in special occasions at same time, as this PURITAN certanly can be used. Must have one in an serious collection, and that is MHO.

This is juicy. Powdery iris looking at the sky which is followed by crude leather and sexy gasoline which sets some wood on fire at the end. Feels warm and inviting somehow. Long lasting, projects like a bonfire. I haven't smelled the first TM ombre leather, but I definitely see the similarity to the newer release - except Kokain is frutier and louder, but somewhat lesser lasting on the paper strip. I smelled tuscan leather as well, but I think it's closer to ombre. My go-to with the leather jacket.

It took a while for me to track this scent down to purchase in the UK, but I enjoy it! It kinda reminds me of the vibe of getting into a hot car in the late summer, with the notes of leather and florals. It might be a bit *too* much in a heavier heat though, especially if you’re in a closed space. I wish it lasted a little bit longer, but in the whole I think it’s a pretty decent scent <3

A berry fruity with leather concoction. It is far closer to Byredo's Black Saffron although many compare it to Tuscan Leather and Ombre Leather. Yes - they are all in the same 'family'. Kokain is far more restrained with the leather note, but still quite powerful - 2 to 3 sprays is really all you need because it hangs around for a long time.

i absolutely love this fragrance, this is one of my favorites from this band, i only wish it was availible in the 3.4oz size.

As someone from the US, trying to find Rammstein fragrances is an absolute bitch. However, after finding one person on EBay selling Kokain, waiting about two months for it to be delivered, I have finally gotten a bottle to try out. You best believe after all the difficulty it took to get it, my expectations and excitement were at an all time high. I’ve been trying to find a photorealistic gasoline scent, and after my first few sprays... a little disappointed. Just like another review for Engel Pure, if you squint really hard you can make out the niche note. I’m not too good at describing smells, but it does have that immediate sharp(?) almost lighter fluid scent but it’s not a true gasoline like I hoped. It is however a very very pleasant overall fragrance; that faux lighter fluid really compliments well with the floral notes, and it’s vibe is very upbeat, clean, maybe even fresh. I could honestly wear this anytime, anywhere. This is very much an everyday scent and is versatile enough to wear this running errands, at work, to a club or concert, or to your mommas house. I paid a premium and a half just for this, but if you live in Germany or you’re able to get it at the retail price of 30~ euros, then I could wholly recommend as a blind buy. If you’re like me and was only able to buy this for the cost of my kidney, unless you’re a big fan of the band and really want a clean everyday scent, I can’t really recommend it as much. Also, totally forgot that this was suppose to be reminiscent of cocaine. It would’ve been cheaper for me to buy the actual thing and smack my face with it. Regardless of how I felt about this fragrance, I’m still digging for the rest of the Rammstein line. Most of them have some of the most unique notes/note combinations I’ve seen, so I still have high hopes. I just need to sell more of my organs.

This is a very interesting fragrance, though at first sniff it may not appear so. Changing, starting from citruses with a whiff of leather, developing more to a leathery-woody notes. I could not grasp it first, but then realised (and my husband was surprises that I did not get it before) that it reminds me of Chanel's Antaeus, in a lighter version, not so loud and self-proclaiming. And I adore Anthaeus, so maybe there is no wonder that I liked this one too. Not screaming loudly, just an uplifting and at the same time comforting scent.

There is a youtube video of Jeremy Fragrance reviewing Kokain in German. Over and over you hear german german german Tuscan Leather german german german german. German german german Tuscan Leather german german. Unfortunately. I had to buy a bottle to try it. Ended up selling it on eBay. Would have expected something more exciting from Rammstein. I want to try Kokain Intense, but it is not worth a whole bottle.

I am surprised, it is more decent than expected, i love the vanilla note (why is it not listed?), it reminds me of old books and old yellowed paper! also I detect incense, more than leather. the iris dos not come to my nose. there is a nice fluffy sweetness that contrasts the more earthy and more heavy smoky notes. Nice one!

This is indeed similar to Tuscan Leather, although not a clone. The gasoline note is noticeable in the opening which makes it a bit shocking (like Rammstein), but it is gone within 2 minutes. Then it is a very pleasant leather scent. I tested it today at Rossmann, Germany, in the male section.

First fragrance from Rammstein. Good one. It's woody,fruity and this "gasoline" note gives it sweetness. Don't worry if you are scared that this perfume gonna be "too much" for you. It's not! I think a lot of people thought that this scent gonna be more "loud".

I don't know why but it reminds me of Caron L'anarchiste.

I don't see the issue here.. A few days ago I got to try it and didn't know anything about it. I just smelled the cap, thought it's sweet and smooth and proceeded with life. Then I saw the reviews for it and had to give it another try - I just couldn't believe it to be so bad! It's not. At first I get this really sweet smell, almost like vanilla. There's some alcoholic smell to it as well, which is not very nice. It stings my nose a little bit but goes away after a few minutes - and that's when I'm starting to enjoy it. I absolutely understand the comparisons to Tuscan Leather by TF, which I think is great! Especially considering the price. There's a leather note, which has something dirty and even old to it. I also get that weird, hard to explain cocaine note, which makes sense because of the name. For me, it smells like Tuscan Leather, just a lot sweeter, a little cheaper (especially in the opening) and also a lot more wearable to be quite honest. It reminds me of walking into high end perfume stores and also duty free shops in airports. There's just something familiar about this that makes me really enjoy it. I do like Rammstein and I do like perfumes, so this should be perfect. However, I think I just own too many and the sweetness doesn't really do it for me so I'll probably pass. Otherwise this is quite impressive! It smells good, is really wearable, has this cocaine note (so the name makes sense) and it's much, much cheaper and less controversial than TF. If you even just like it, I'm sure this is a worthy purchase that you won't regret.

I love the opening of this perfume. It is something like I have never smelled before, almost like a real gasoline punch - and I love the smell of gasoline! But the dry down is so disappointing on my skin... feels like an old perfume and this is the only reason that I still have an almost full bottle after several years of owning it. It promises but it doesn’t deliver, which is a shame.

I am a huge Rammstein fan so I really wanted to love it - unfortunately it smells unexplainably cheap, synthetic and boring. I expected something original, something "in your face", something unusual that won't go unnoticed. This starts with a cheap synthetic plastic smell, reminding me the fake adidas shoes in the chinese markets, than comes some annoying flowery-sweaty note. This is a big no from me, sorry, not even Rammstein can make me wear this, it just smells really bad.

Another barely there conceptual fragrance that isn't a fragrance. It's like a leather dryer sheet -- after its been used 5 or 10 times. All this is is a synthetic molecule that reads as a watered-down leather. That's it. Save your money unless you must own it because you are addicted to Rammstein.
