Cherry Musk

Reading these negative reviews - I'm confused. I suppose taste in fragrances is subjective, but I love this so much. Yes, I was expecting a dark cherry musky sexy bomb, but that is not what this fragrance is. If that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. This is light and ever so slightly sweet. A beautiful mixture of fruits and flowers on the softest airy musky base. It's a fragrance to wear when you need to lift your spirits, it floats on the air around you like a good mood. It is, in my opinion, very feminine and flirty, but sexy? I'm not sure. I don't always want to smell sexy - sometimes I just want to smell like a girl (although I am many years away from those days). This is a scent to wear with a pretty dress, strappy sandals, a beautiful floppy hat, and go skipping in the breeze - think Amal Cloony in something floaty with a big smile on her face. A niche fragrance of this caliber should never be bought blind. If I had bought it based on the name, the notes, and the reviews, I would have been devastated. As I didn't, I am absolutely thrilled with this feminine and oh so floaty fragrance. Springtime, flowered dresses, and big floppy hats in a bottle. This bottle was gifted to me by just such a woman - a feminine woman - and I am so grateful. I will wear this and smile and think of her as I so often do.

Perfection. Subtle, pure, giddy perfection. It's rare to fine a scent so charming. On me, this is a very intimate scent. It stays close, and thought the 'throw' it projects feels airy & slight, I'd say it's more tasteful. It is definitely present, and for a long time, just not in a brazen sence... It is pure grace. There is a delightful sense of effervescents with Cherry Musk. The musk is certainly what grounds the scent in reality and sophistication, but the Cherry is a light, playful one. It makes me feel 'sparkly' - it's the adult equivalent of taking your first sip of a Shirley Temple and tasting that sweet, luxuriant (as a child) grendadine. This is, of course, a much more refined experience, but that doesn't mean it's any less fun! ***Swoon!***

Unique. Sits close to the skin. Fresh, airy musky quality with tones of tart berry overall that are only initially Zingy and instantly distinguishable as some sort of berry or 'cherry'. Starts strong but quickly blends quickly and softly into an airy musk. There is a sweetness that after several minutes turns into something well blended and Not cloying or migraine inducing. If you like: fresh, musk, fruity accord with a pinch of sweetness..something with good sillage but doesnt project too loud off your skin then try this. Longevity is good, Sillage is decent as well but projection is poor.

I was lucky to acquire a small sample of this scent last year. I was prepared not to like it, or get a headache, because it has musk in the name, and usually those frags give me a migraine. However, it's much lighter than I expected, not a sillage monster, and actually sort of a "something different" for Spring. The people who compared the scent to a cocktail are correct, but the musk counteracts any extreme sweetness, giving it an "edge". Too bad this is such an expensive scent (overpriced if you ask me, given the weak sillage), because it's an unexpected delight! Perfect for men or women.

Cherry musk feels like a frozen berry, slightly tart and sweet. It's a playful fragrance, the opening and the first minutes is a duet of cherry and musk, but very fresh and airy. I'm surprised, because most cherry scents are utterly sweet and artificial. But this one manages to escape that cliché. It screams spring, youth and innocence. Although it is marked as unisex, I consider Cherry Musk more on the feminine side. I'm a guy, and I really want to try it to see the reaction of people.

cherry musk is a perfect name for this, it isnt very sweet. as others have noted, its the best cherry smell i have ever found. the musk is clean and the fragrance is wearable for any occasion. the best from this brand! i also like cotton musk from this line, but this is more easy to wear anytime making it my favorite out of all of them and favorites overall. if this sounds good to you, sample this one! addictive and long lasting.

This is such a nice scent. Normally I tend to use heavier spiced scents- My favorites Hermes Ambre Narguile, Black Orchid and TV from Tom Ford - So this is completely different from what I would normally wear.. But this is just divine. It ́s so sweet and fruity without being too "young". It last long and the dry down is very delicate. This is for sure my new Spring/Summer scent!!!

Absolutely gorgeous scent. It has a citrus opening, but it then develops into a sweet cherry and supremely elegant musk. It's not as fruity as one may think. It has a slightly vintage feel, great staying power and it's a scent that despite being light and youthful, it sort of "dresses you". It feels like a musky comfortable veil of cherry blossom and cherries to me.

This is absolutely lovely sweet delicious cherry with a slight hint of musk. From first whiff I was immediately captivated this is just so nice it's nothing I've ever smelled defiantly original && defiantly wonderful! No it doesn't last that long but Idc I love my fruitier scents && this is tops still to me! can't wait to get it!! :)

A very sweet cherry that is different from the other popular ones in the moment. It is not a liquer cherry, it is a jam-like cherry, but not overly sweet. The perfect fruity sweetness. It is very pleasant but doesn't have strong projection. The dry down after a few hours is a clean, white musk.

On me it has strong sillage and is long-lasting. It also smells almost identical to Coty Wild Musk, of which I am a huge fan. Cherry musk does have the added cherry note. But for the price, you really would be better off just getting Coty Wild Musk at the drugstore.

I'm a perfume addict , I must confess . What makes me want to buy a new bottle ? Something different that smells delicious and lasts a long time. For me cherry musk is simple and delicious, different and thanks God , it is long lasting on me , perfect !!

One of the best cherry scents I have ever come across, deep and dark, with a bit of a boozy top note. I also get a bit of tobacco and leather on the dry down. Fantastic.

One of the best in my husband collections and I also can wear it because it is unisex. I love it...

I expected to dislike this one due to the other reviews and the fact that I tend to hate fruity musky perfumes a la Escada. But luckily Cherry Musk is an interesting tart, dark cherry scent on me with some light (non animalic) musk in the background. My skin usually turns everything sweet, but not here. That might be what keeps it from smelling cheap to me (though it doesn't smell expensive either, just not like an Escada flanker with 10 lbs of sugar). The musk and cherry don't really go together in my opinion but the musk is light so it doesn't bother me. I like the dark cherry note. The scent smells better on warm humid days. Mild like.

The opening is a sweet cherry, but it quickly becomes a sticky strawberry with a musky base. The oakmoss gives a tiny bit of a dry earthy edge, just enough to stop it being a girly sweet concoction. However it still leans traditionally very feminine. It somehow stays quite fresh even through its earthy, maybe that’s the touch of Rose? It’s actually quite special.

If you've ever been in a video store, Cherry Musk will smell familiar and nostalgic. It is the aroma of Red Swedish Fish (cherry gummy candies) amongst clean carpets and electronics.

I am on a beach, sipping a cocktail cherry .... nothing else. Comfortable but not inviting to purchase (the scent is not worth the outrageous price).

Cherry Musk smells like strawberries and white musk. The musk is a creamy, fluffy, clean white kitten of a musk. It's a bit like warm dryer sheets, with a pleasingly soft furry texture. The combination of that with cherries and strawberries reminds me simultaneously of Bath & Body Works Cherry Blossom and Annick Goutal Petite Cherie. Despite the fruity character, it's not overtly sweet, and likely wouldn't be sweet enough to catch the attention of hardcore gourmand lovers. I really enjoyed the way this performed on skin. It's more of a diffusive scent than a wrist sniffer. After I generously sprayed my wrists wet, Cherry Musk seemed to have disappeared for a moment. But then I kept catching whiffs of it in the atmosphere, projecting in surprising ways for such a gentle scent. I think this scent would be fantastic to layer with pretty much any modern release, niche or designer. I can see this style of scent adding a little special something layered with most recent releases, and with a great quality atmospheric white musk. This is my first time testing a Ramon Monegal creation, and I can tell that it's a quality scent, just not my personal style of perfume. I'll probably happily finish my sample layered with other fragrances, but currently am not looking to acquire a bottle.

I was so excited to try this but was completely let down. I tried it out 3 separate times just hoping some magic would happen. But nothing. The faint scent I did get was pretty though but I could barely smell it and surely no one else could either. It’s very very weak as far as longevity and sillage both go. It’s not worth it’s price tag whatsoever.

Absolutely adore this opening of this! Unfortunately the dry down is skewing very musky and while there are hints of all that slightly musky sweet airy berry-ness I adored up top, on my skin, it's feels just a tad too musky for what I was looking for. that opening tho <3 Also, it weirdly reminds me of a less pleasant version of Peche Cardinal?

Cherry & musk, it is a linear fragrance. For cherry lovers. It is not so complex, I do not understand the price of this perfume. Not for me, in particular due to the cost...

Perfume has clean musk base for sweet red berry scent. Intimate scent that is not overly juvenile. Different from other cherry scents. Pass 3/5.

Eww. A scrubber on me, and that's rare. I really hate this. To me it smells like a bucketload of cheap synthetic musk married to a cheap cherry cordial - the kind of frag I'd pick up for 3 euros from the local discount store. Even scrubbing with white vinegar can't get this off my wrist and I think I'll have to resort to another musk fragrance over the top in order to kill it. Really disappointed. I have a couple of frags from this house that are really beautiful (Kiss My Name, Entre Naranjos), but this is a mistake. And I like cheap musks normally, too - still love Jovan even after all these years.

Very clean-laundry experience. It's a linear, a bit juvenile, inoffensive musky scent: the musk is the predominant note here and the cherry has more like a berry vibe presence. If you were looking for that standout cherry note then look somewhere else. Longevity is weak and sillage is close to the skin. Definitely appropriate for daytime and safe for the office. As I wrote, very inoffensive but I was expecting so much more. Boring to say the least and not worth the price point at all. Disappointing.

I thought that the name quite says it all, so I've got a sample. Upon application, I could smell some notes that reminded me of smoky cognac. Not sure why, but after the dry-down, I still sense some kind of woody notes of cognac. Cherry here is very subtle, not enough for my liking. Very close to the skin, silage is not there at all. Very musky in a bad way. Overall it is a quite pleasant scent, but meh. This is way too overpriced as well.

Smells incredibly synthetic with fruit notes and musk similar to fruit smelling headshop incense sticks. I'm not sure who this fragrance is for since it's too cough syrup cherry for an adult but it's too heavy and serious for a teenager. I think this is simply a creative novelty rather than something meant to be purchased or sampled more than once

This is a jammy cherry. Don't look to it expecting a straight up cherry scent...it's been boiled down, sweetened and musked up. But it's beautiful that way! Edit: In 2019, my nose has decided it doesn't feel the same. It's now a dusty cherry to me, not nearly as beautiful as I had remembered it. Shame.

I am really confuses by the reviews and comparison with Liaison Dangerous. For me it is a smell of the super hot iron burning old kitchen towel or torchon soaked in chemicals before it. Cherry? Musc? Cocktail? Where?????

I sampled this and I just did not like it. I find the notes don't blend well. There is a staleness to it. It smells like unwashed bodies under some fruit. I like musk but not done in this way,.

Dramatically overpriced, tenacious, sweet, synthetic cherry and rose matched with a sickly, laundry-style musk.

A sweet fizzy cherry followed by what smells like Jovan's white musk for men. Not for me from start to finish.

I absolutely hate this perfume. Just the thought of smelling it again makes me sick

I tried this few months ago and I didn’t get it. But recently in my research of finding the ideal cherry scent for me, this perfume got my attention ( wallet). Cherry Musk is completely different from La Petite Robe Noire and Lust Cherry. The strawberry (juicy-fresh )and cherry (quite mature, rich in color and flavour)are prominent ;wrapped with a clean musk. It is straight fruity and sophisticated without any sharpness. I like that I could pair it with other perfumes to make it unisex ( earthy, creamy and woody accords ); skipping the overwhelming liquor, almond an powdery ( like makeup ) notes. I’m a perfume collector , and acquiring Cherry Musk was worthy, beautiful and good quality of the bottle and packaging. But for new customers in niche perfumes , this would not be a good idea to buy. This creation demands experience.

I would definitely recommend testing this first. Cherry Musk smells exactly like it's name only the alcoholic Musk is extremely over powering!! It is a Beast, the projection is ridiculous. Imagine a strong white cherry liqueur with musk that stays that way throughout. It is like that feeling you get if you attempt a shot of Waragi Gin and it makes you want to choke because the burn is too much. I am disappointed because i really wanted something from the range, for the unique bottle at least and this one sounded amazing to me but i cannot wear it without feeling a headache coming on and i usually enjoy Cherry and musk in perfume. Leans more masculine IMO. I will add that the spray is a little awkward with the way the lid sits when open but the bottle is so cool that you won't be too phased if the juice is nice.

Ramon Monegal is one of the houses that I just don't get: either there is something about their scents that absolutely doesn't work with my skin or their juices just aren't very good. The nicest thing I can say about this is "it smells sort of pink." It has that vague "berry" smell that you encounter in $20 weird brand perfumes at Walgreens or air fresheners that you get at Target. Cherries smell both juicy, sharp and rather nutty (that's why it can be hard to tell almond from cherry). None of those notes are in this bottle and there's no musk to warm it and give it some longevity. I'd say meh and quit there if the stuff wasn't so expensive. Sillage: millimeters? Longevity: an hour? Fabulosity: grape slushee Value to price ratio: poor 2/10

Do not go outside especially when it is cold and windy. I dare you not to go out wearing Cherry Musk unless.. You want to faint. Faint by how beautiful smelling your skin and faint because people will notice you and make them search in joy as to where that lovely scent is coming. I shall no longer discuss the notes for they are but very simple. But in my journey in life and smell, this is a fragrance that is so uplifting, light but unique, outstanding. it is a surprise treat, very well composed, very addictive & versatile. Cherry Musk is just a light perfume but the sillage is strong, amazing! I can no longer share more praise. I need a full bottle soonest. Thank you for your kindness Ms. Cecchini.

yep, this one is a "miss". I love my Curielle, Agar Musk, Impossible Iris, Umbra... This one smells like dried fruits, no cherry or musk in sight, has no longevity or projection. I am glad I didn't spring for a large bottle. I only have 15 mls from a three bottle set. I can live with that but it won't be something I'll be reaching for a lot. Reminded me of a Xerjoff Casamorati, don't remember which one, I smelled in a duty-free in Europe and the sales lady was talking about it smelling like dried fruits. Well, I don't want to smell like dried fruits much.

I was so prepared to love this scent, but after getting a good few wearings out of my sample it`s fair to say that the experience left me somewhat underwhelmed. It`s a nice, fluffy, soft, cozy white musk scent with a very faint fruity (cherry, I guess) background. It stays linear on me. Nice but I expected a bit more cherry. Very light fragrance, minimal sillage and moderate longevity. Cherry Musk is my introduction to this niche house and I don`t mean to offend fans of Ramon Monegal but I think the pricetag for this kind of perfume is simply ridiculous.

Should have been named “Cherry Plastique”. Glossy pleather, clean musk, plastic cherry and strawberry scratch-n-sniff stickers. The moss might be the accord giving a plastic vibe but it’s delicious in my opinion and I love that the cherry never became medicinal. After about 20 minutes, cherry and strawberry intensifies but never became sweet nor gourmand. Smells synthetic in a very cool way, for those who like certain “plastique” scents like Lab On Fire Hallucinogenic Pearl. It’s not for everyone but I do love it.

The Cherry Musk is another masterpiece that I loved. At the beginnig the alcohol seens to be strong and can be compared to a cherry liqueur but when the strong alcohol smell goes away you can dicovery that the mix of Cherry, Musk and Coconut (I think) is a WONDERFUL perfume. This one reminds me the Diptyque Phylosikos, but the Diptyque Phylosikos the evidence scent is fig and in the Cherry Musk the natural scent that comes is a very nice smell of Cherry (fruit - tree - leaf)...it is PERFECT.

I'm a RM fan, but this is pretty underwhelming. Not a bad scent, just not high quality. The sort of thing you'd expect from a brand half the price. I get strawberry/general red berries more than cherry. Pretty linear. Feels almost like a room scent. That being said, it has pretty decent performance and is the sort of smell that will put a smile on your face. But thinking about the money you set on fire for that smile might wipe it off.

Shoulder Shrug....Right mix, wrong cherry. I was expecting this to be a gourmand winter fragrance with decent longevity. Boy-oh-Boy was i fooled. This is a very light synthetic cherry, not the kind that drips off a sundae. I literally had to shift my perception to save what little appreciation that i have left for this perfume. $185 for a synthetic cherry? I think not. Don't be a victim of false advertisement.

Actually I get that why they have some negative comments about this perfume. It’s not exactly a same scent that we could imagine by the description. Somehow I still personally consider this as light and easily wearable perfume! And again, I would recommend to try the scent before buying it. It’s definitely not the perfume in our expectation before smelling it :) Love this perfume personally 9/10

Disappointed in this one. When I tried it, it was very light. Whats more the cherry is not the sort of cherry I was looking for. I was hoping for a sorta jolly rancher, starburst, or the cherry smell you might get in a candle. This is like a cherry gummy bear if you will. Very faint smell. Not sweet juicy and candyish. Did nothing for me sadly.

The accolades are so well deserved! I"ll wear a few times to get a feel for the longevity, but this is so darn amazing I don't think it will matter. The fruit is too ripe and the foundation too addictive. I second (or third or fourth) that this is the best cherry fragrance I've ever sniffed.

Fruity musk, basically. The musk is clean and a little screechy, the cherry is sweet and sour. It may smell a little plasticy and laundry-like up close; but it does leave a delicious mouthwatering fruity trail. The scent is subtle but persistent, I think it smells lovely.

The cherry component of this scent is well-done. It's a dried tart cherry, chewy and not too sweet. The musk, on the other hand, has this synthetic almost celery-like oddness to it that I don't find appealing. Disappointed because I would have loved it otherwise.
