Fiesta

Notes according to the official site of Ramon Monegal: Olive Blossom, Tuberous, Ambergris, Cedar, Vanilla, Leather. To my nose "Fiesta" is powdery-animalic (I spray it only on the skin!). It is like an ode to the Ambergris. Great longevity and fairly strong projection. I blind bought a full bottle months ago, but fortunatelly not for 500€. The presentation is gorgeous. Comes with a book and the perfume's pouch itself lays in a coffret with a built-in mirror. Still I paid too much for it (silly me!). I wish one day I could understand the mastermind behind this creation, because there is always an abyss separating the art lovers from the artists. But I know that the journey is the reward.

This is a weird smoky-spicy (leather gone wrong) mess.. Not sure how to describe it (and don't really care to), just really unpleasant especially on the skin.

@ FIRST SNIFF: a neural bridge was immediately connected to Roja Dove Candy Aoud. Sweet and candy-like but with a definitive foul side (I swear I smell oud, but its not listed in the official pyramid.) THE PICTURE IT PAINTS: a party, where there is ripe fresh fruits, sweets, candy, people, pinatas and farm animals, Perhaps a petting zoo. IN THE BRAND FAMILY: For me Agar Musk is (still) the star of the RM brand, a marvelous treasure. AM is the Bently or Rolls Royce in the garage. Fiesta, the Convertible sports car. Fun and Sporty. A time and place for both with little overlap between. PARTING THOUGHTS: I'd be hesitant to call this a mess... it is IMO the most interesting (and niche) of the entire line. It IS WEIRD. IT IS STRANGE. even difficult to wear I suppose. So far I like it quite a lot. Call it a poor mans Roja Dove Candy Aoud (although this one is not cheap my any means!!)

Burnt fruits It's like a fruitty yet smokey blend. I was shocked that i do smell sweet olives, specifically green olives with bits of sweet amber . The colder it goes the leathier it becomes, besides the sweet amber rises with an oily vanilla olives. I can't sense any roses. This is weird indeed, and quite pleasant. Very impressive for a limited edition blend, but i believe it's kind of overpriced to be around 500 Euro, i would purchase a full bottle if it were 150 Euros.
