Hazy Rose

Ramon Monegal IMO is definitely the most underrated brand I’ve come across. To me it’s in the same realm of Frederic Malle and Bvlgari Le Gemme. Thats very high praise I hope. Hazy Rose is a sensual “wet” rose you feel the rose is alive. Its a soft but loud opening u immediately smell the rose and musks very little duration in terms of top notes u quickly find yourself in the blossoming heart of the fragrance. The heart I must say lasts quite a while given rose fragrances usually peak within 90 minutes so here the pairing with musks does keep the mood going for a long time. Its an effortless and sexy fragrance thats unisex in my opinion. Could easily pair with a white shirt on a summer day or dress up for a night out. Scent 10/10 Sillage 8/10 or 10/10 if ur considering the natural limits of rose’s projection if the sillage were to go any bigger it would probably need heavy synthetics Packaging 10/10 Value 10/10 Honestly I find this more appealing than straight up First Grade / Pluck Taifi Rose Oil because of the mystique it has and the beautiful musk touch however that Taifi Rose will outperform for the first two hours then very quickly fade. The reason I mention this is an oil like that would cost around $950 for 12ml. So for a fraction of the cost of a great Taif Rose u can enjoy this at around $200. If you love POAL, Garanat, Sahare, Radical Rose, Narjesi, Amouage’s Rose Incense or Guerlain’s Nahema I think this is worth sampling. If you find the above too feminine then this isn’t for you.

Ramon Monegal is a master perfumer, and he's been releasing gorgeous fragrances for decades, but nothing prepared me for what I was about to feel the first time I smelled Hazy Rose. Every time I spray it, my mind goes on a sensual and sense awakening journey, leaving me fantasizing about situations I can't mention here. 🙈 This is now my favorite rose fragrance. Built around an opulant, alluring, and wet rose, Monegal has created a sophisticated and masterfully orchestrated dance that would happen right at the break of dawn. In attendance, a bold saffran, some bitting ginger, pink pepper, some woody notes, Oakmoss, some resins, and a musky veil to create just one of the sexiest fragrances I've ever smelled. Also, sometimes I find rose fragrances to lean a bit more towards a female audience, this one is 100% totally unisex. Not too sweet, spicy, resinous, musky, and decadent. If you have the chance to get your nose on this one, don't hesitate even one second. It's THAT good. 🌹

elegant powdery watery rose mixed with saffron and ginger. the saffron is what makes this fragrance pretty much 50/50 unisex. it balances the rose and gives it direction and seriousness. the ginger is sour, as its supposed to be, giving the fragrance some complexity and fruity undertones. drydown is rosy woody goodness with some musk. Ramon Monegal seems to be one of those houses where theres a plethora of reviews, comments and videos on some of their most popular best selling products (flamenco edp, flamenco extrait, faisa etc.) but there is only a handful of information on their lesser known perfumes such as this, even though this deserves as much attention, if not more. the reason i got this is because i was convinced this is a good performing sophisticated rose scent that isnt overly feminine, something that could easily find its place on my shelf. And it did. performance is good all around, you dont have to lift up your arm to get whiffs of this, could be cloying in closed or small spaces so watch out for that. I definitely look forward to trying more scents from Ramon Monegal, especially flamenco extrait which might just be impossible to find as of right now, until they restock. Ramon Monegal Hazy Rose - Words to describe- Unique, Sophisticated, Alluring Hands down one of the most interesting Rose fragrances i have got my nose into in quite some time. Opens with a very big dose of Saffron and a sweet jammy rose. The opening is very sweet but dont get pushed away by it. After 15 mins the sweetness will tone down and 1hr into it is where the magic begins. This transforms into a smoky cloudy black rose but retains the sweet nature. The name is spot on. As this fragrance comes to the end of its life cycle ur left with a musky woody rose. Truly amazing. Hats off to the perfumer. Caution- Dont buy if u dont like cavity inducing sweetness in fragrances (definitely sample) Be gentle on the trigger as its very long lasting and u may choke out others. All in all this is definitely a fragrance for the connoisseur’s who collects perfumes and use them for their own personal satisfaction. Départ oriental à souhait avec un safran profond , entouré de bois fin , légèrement vivifié avec le gingembre , et une rose qui annonce une explosion imminente Évolution chypré sur une rose très puissante,mais imprégné d'une ambiance automnale , comme si la fleur était posé sur un parterre forestier, odeur boisé-champignons-feuilles au couleurs du froid arrivant . Aucune mélancolie des jours qui rétrétices et du temps maussade liés a la saison ,une rose boisé avec une note a tendance mystérieuse , sexy et sombre , qui m'a émoustillé les sens et m'a fait vraiment craqué pour ce parfum, peut etre une association rose - mousse de chene dont je n'ai pas l'habitude...,magnifique Puis la rose se finit plus musqué ,presque cuirée ,toujours présente. La rose est la tout au long du parfum ,peut etre plus masculine que mixte par moment, bien fondu dans les notes de bois Très bonne tenue et sillage

I own few RM fragrances, if Faisa and Flamenco had a child, it would definitely be Hazy Rose. This heavenly sent offspring inherits the boldness of saffron from Faisa and sweetness of roses and tanginess of raspberry from Flamenco. Hazy Rose is a powerful fragrance which will strike your nostrils even when your vision is hazy!!!

Wow! Just Wow-- I have Flamenco, Siesta, Ole, Impossible Iris, Faisia, Lovely Day and Next To me-- and now Hazy Rose.... This one gives Flamenco, Siesta and Ole' a run for #1... Stunning.....Different from any other Rose that I own... I must watch for a back up..

Ramon Monegal's Hazy Rose is once again the proof that Ramon Monegal fragrances are relly top notch quality niche scents. This is a special rose perfume like I have not smelled before. The description from Ramon Monegal's website is entirely accurate. This smells like a dewy rose, a wet rose, the smell of rose melted morning's water. You really need to smell this beauty to understand it or wake up at dawn and smell your roses when there are some water droplets from air condensation. Here the rose doesn't smell synthetic at all like in Frederic Malle's portrait of a lady or harsh and dry like in Parfums de Marly Delina or Matiere Premiere Radical Rose. Can be worn by both genders Just stunning.

This has alot of things going on. It's floral, ambery, powdery, musky, earthy, velvety, and a bit fruity. The ginger in the breakdown is misleading. This isn't your typical ginger root. It's actually the ginger flower. It has a sweet tropical smell much like honeysuckle and jasmine. Very floral. To me it's a garden of Damask roses, saffron, ginger lily, iris, with a nice dose of cashmere and Siam benzoin as the haze. Sexy, yet playful. Not dark or Gothic to me at all. It can be worn year round except in high heat. 25+

Lovely and complex rose chypre. Opening of saffron and morning dewy roses is very original and beautiful. The hazy part of this is not spice or smoke, but fog. I love Ramon Monegal and now have 4 bottles. Very high quality ingredients at for only $210. Some niche houses charge 325. I consider it a good value for the quality and originality of thought.

This is very soft rose almost watery. It reminded me alot of Cartiers un'soir which i have its just alot softer. Its ok nothing out of the ordinary. Worth it if you get it discounted. There's tons of rose fragrances out there this one is nice but nothing to lose your mind over.

Easily my favourite from the house. Very dewy rose accompanied by sophisticated fun notes. Great scent to enjoy when you are out socialising.

Such a beautiful perfume! It combines notes from Flamengo and Fiasa. Longevity and sillage are nuclear.
