Next to me is a very good fragance. It is true that this is something that i have smelt before, but in parts, although i think the whole fragance is original. The opening remember me to fragances like habit Rouge by Germain and the dry down is more like Eva Kant by o'driu. The smell is intense but is not intrusiva at all so i think that this is really and incredibly versatile. It has a fruity vibe, with some freshness, with the coconut, the Peach, the melón and some citrus notes i think. Then comes a soft rose over balsámic notes like incense and labdanum, with a very subtle oud and leather back. Next to me. Just Wow, luxurious smell with a subtle tobacco and rose mixture. Solid 9/10

This is very nice. The opening is sweeter, and more unsex that I expected - cool and creamy, not sharp in any way. Heavy, though. I smell beautifully blended fruit and leather, with the rose and oud very much in the background. As it develops the rose comes through, but it never takes over. This is not a strong oud fragrance. The notes had me anticipating something different, which I already own many bottles of, i.e., perfumes with a similar composition. But this is quite different and I am glad I took a chance on a blind buy. It's a beautiful perfume.

Opens with a saffron hit then you get some yellow and white florals smells like ylang ylang and jasmine maybe a touch of rose some soft musks and oud probably supported by an oud like accord to enhance your perception of it. Leans feminine definitely a seductive night time scent for a tropical getaway, think of moonlit walks on Bali’s beaches. As a film reference think of Solange in Casino Royale.

This is lovely -- such a wearable spicy leathery incensey oud. It kind of reminds me of Cerchi Nell'Acqua's Atelier Marrakech which is an absolute STUNNER and not on here. I love that it's called next to me, because despite these intense notes, it feels soft, like a tender oud, like the whispers of an oud. Update: that was my blotter reaction on skin it's very different -- it's very medicinal. It's like medicinal cherry, leather, and something butric-- like the smell you get from a buttery chard. I am actually not enjoying this and find it a bit gag-inducing for me.

No one is picking up on the Aventus vibes? Pineapple and smoked animal products? I liked this better in the low sixties degrees Farenheit, and much like Aventus, cannot stand it at above 70 degrees F, it gets to be pestering my nose for attention, like an annoying mosquito buzzing around your head in the dark when you are trying to sleep but are too tired to put on the light and kill it.

I agree with the previous comments, I don't think that the notes listed are correct. It's more like a sweet coconut fragrance, more or less the kind of vibe that you an expect or a fragrance like Le Male but more feminine. Is really sweet so I'm not sure about it versatility in Summer, I need to try it again when Summer arrives. Quality is way far from what you could expect, it will fit better in a designer price around 50€. In my opinion is a pass. Projection: 1 meter during 2 hours. Longevity: 7/8 hours.

MY GAWD... juice is excellent. How'd I almost skip this?! Short story time. Was in my favorite parfum shop today and ended up buying Xerjoff Casamorati 1888 and Oud Dream by Montale after almost sniffing half the shop. I stayed after purchase and smelled a few more and came across this gem. I have only one Ramon Monegal in my collection, which is, Mon Patchouly. Really good by the way. However, I was stunned by Next To Me. A true spicy oriental blend where the rose isn't dominate but everything else is. Really blended quite nicely. So good that I returned 1888 and purchased Next To Me instead. A great late spring, early fall fragrance. Head Turner? Yea! It's that good trust me. I know a little something about what smells good and what doesn't. Blind buy worthy. Really spicy! 8.5 out of 10.

I think the notes shown above are not correct. The correct notes can be found by looking at the Dubai next to me version, which I heard is the same as this. This is Monegal's take on the oriental fruity leather genre. It opens rather sharp and spicy, but soon peach balances the sharpness. It still remains quite sharp, provided by saffron and sharp leather. I can smell slight ashtray nuances behind the fruity leather. The perfume is very linear, and the sillage and the longevity are very good.

Strong, spicy leather with sweet notes. Oud base, saffron, something musky and something animalic. This is strong, beware of the surroundings, maybe not office friendly. I don't like Oud, I tolerate it in some scents. This is too much for me but I see it has very good quality and will work for the right person. Sample it first. Oud lovers likely will enjoy it.

An absolute gem. This is not a rose centric fragrance whatsoever, it sits very quietly in the background. The Oud and saffron are perfectly blended and there is a spice to the dry down. I get a bit of leather but not strong. One of the best I’ve smelled in a long time. Buying a backup now.

Whoa... This is very pungent and sweet. I was not expecting this from the reviews I’ve read and the YouTuber who suggested this. Side note: I scrubbed this one off. This is not for everyone and will possibly offend people around you.

I agree with the reviewers below that suggest that the notes listed here are not correct. I get a lot of fruit in the opening and the coconut is also there. Not sure yet about this one. Not an instant love, nor an instant no.

Nice, reminds me of Amber intense by Fragrance du Bois. A little softer, though. Do I smell some ylang ylang? Next To Me comes across as timeless, classical parfumery. I don't find it particularly masculine.
