Oud On Fire

This is a nice, smoky and woody oud. I am comparing Soul of oud and Oud on fire side by side. In the beginning they are quite similar, but soon Soul of oud turns more chocolatey and floral while Oud on fire is smokier and woodier.

Very nice take on oud with amazing quality, well balanced and quite regal to wear!

Lovely thick oud. But with a fresh, coconut whiff. Love it!

Good God. This is really, really strong and incredibly unique, it is named perfectly because it literally smells of burning Oud. Not that sweet western Oud, propper funky Oud. Honestly, I either think it's too out there to be enjoyable, or absolutely wonderful! Am erring on the latter just because of how different it is. This definitely won't be for everyone, or even many people really -- but those that it is for will love it. I keep smelling my arm so I guess I must like it, but there will be very limited occasions I could wear it, it's certainly not a hot weather or office scent. Dinner in Estepona in the winter, that's what this will be perfect for. The only other fragrance I have that made me feel this way was Beyond the Pashtun Summit by MOAPC because that's totally out there and unique too, and I absolutely love it when things are completely and utterly different. That too made me bleccchhh and ooooooh, just like this has. Yes, I love it, I have decided 🤗

Be careful with this one. It's very thick and potent. In the opening, the rose note is very much at the forefront, but it takes on more of a supporting role later on. It remains present and strong throughout the dry down, but it adds more of a creamy scent than a floral one. It's nice. The cedar and black pepper both gain prominence as the hours wear on, and the oud serves to link the disparate notes together. There are hints of amber and patchouli in the background, and they seem to help tame the sharpness of the cedar. Personally, I think it's still slightly too sharp, and I'd prefer it to be earthier and/or smoother. There's also a spicy, smoky accord that hovers around the primary notes. I suppose that's where the name comes from. There's quite a bit going on here. It's very interesting. I'm really intrigued by how the rose successfully rounds out the overall fragrance. If you're into oud, I think you should give this a try.

Very interesting semisynthetic oud based composition that starts smoky and rough and transitions to sweet powder on skin. The scent opens with a smoky cloud of Cambodian oud, black pepper, cinnamon and balsam fir. The brief heart is geranium, patchouli, and rose. The scent settles on a powdery bed of synthetic amber, tonka bean, cashmeran and cedar. The masculine leaning scent has moderate to strong sillage and very good longevity. Enjoy!

Really wanted to like this. Something about it is just not my particular taste. It has a very Chypre type quality to it, but the main notes I get are cinnamon and this heavy moss-like note. Perhaps it's the florals, but it comes across to me as this damp, cold type of earthy smell that's just off putting. I had the same reaction to Fan Your Flames by Nishane. I don't find this scent outright gross like I did that one, it just isn't the woody, smoky, spicy vibe I would be looking for. This has a strong moss-esque note that is just too overwhelming. I'd say sample first.

Definitely a case of rating inflation here, should be sitting at 3.90 tops. The scent polarising, and not really wearable. Even if I were to sit in the perspective of the camp who would enjoy this scent, it's nothing special.

It is almost Soul Of Oud (SOO). However longevity doesnt seem to be like SOO.
