Siesta

At first whiff, the cedar, lemon and vetiver were very prominent and I was worried this would be a dislike. I let the bottle rest a bit and then begin sampling again. This has become a love and first grab, for an uplifting yet soothing, cozy, woody, pleasantly sweet scent for fall. A grounding cedar with a creamy iris facet, slightly sweetened by honeyed lemon-drops. The interplay of well-blended jasmine and vanilla come forth in the mid and dry-down, adding to a unique, evolving, non-linear and dynamic wear in every facet. At times, this give me hints of coconut, at times pineapple, at times a tea. Starts off energizing, yet pulls you into a grounding place. After a delicious siesta, you are awakened, completely relaxed and ready to play. Not the same, but this has replaced my regular use of Gris Charnel.

This beauty starts with some soft lemon and iris and within 30 minutes the lemon softens even more until it vanishes leaving a gorgeous, sexy , woody, totally cozy pillow of a scent with that gorgeous iris base. This is very versatile leaning ever so slightly on the masculine side with the same understated elegance of YSL Tuxedo with an added layer of coziness. It lasts about 12+ hrs on my skin and weeks if you spray it on your clothes. Like all the Ramon Monegal fragrances this one is different to anything I’ve ever tried before.

My second favorite perfume so far — and by far the most versatile one I own. I absolutely love it. It lasts all day, yet it’s never overpowering or intrusive. It just stays with you in the most subtle, comforting way. Finally got my full bottle! It’s hard to find in Mexico, so my in-laws went to Spain and brought it for me

I don't know who copied who? Velvet I by Fellah Paris or Siesta by Monegal!! They are exactly the same. Same performance,, nothing different. Get Velvet I instead. I feel so sad wasting my money as i have VELVET I already. Thank me later Very yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy light , no projection and longevity is zero

Goodness, I did not think I was going to love this as much as I do, due to the citrus blast- but this really evolves... It is worth the high price.. Flamenco, Ole' and Siesta are all yummy powerhouses, each a favorite. Siesta may just be number 1....

I think the world of this. It’s honeyed iris with a little citrus bite. Pretty unisex and very calming. Stays interesting the entire duration and doesn’t much resemble other scents. It’s a top tier scent.

Honey is a very bright, up in your face note. And iris also has a pretty round pastel quality. The combination of the two creates something that is very vibrant, lively, and 3D but this comes at the cost of not smelling very natural. There is power in subtlety and Siesta doesn’t know the meaning of the word. I agree with the reviewer far below who made the connection to a honey/lemon cough drop because the two notes meld together with a sweet yet mentholic fresh quality. The vetiver here is definitely audible to add a bit of its grounded earthy masculinity. The vetiver itself almost smells like the base of Hermes Terre. But this fragrance definitely isn’t as mature as Terre. I like Siesta but I don’t find it full bottle worthy at the current asking price. Maybe “too much of a good thing” applies here. It is a loud sweet party fragrance, and it does create a likable scent bubble. But I don’t want it on my skin. It smells more like a really nice air freshener in a bachelor pad. 7.4/10

This is sweet, smooth and warm. It gives me the embodiment of a warm tea with sweet frothy milk. It doesn’t smell like tea itself, but it gives the comfort of one, but manages to be sexy at the same time, and not to mention strong! I put on two sprays to test and it was radiating off of me as if I had done way more. This is heavy on the Iris, vanilla and tonka and will announce your presence when you step in the room. I will wear it sparingly until Autumn arrives, I can just imagine how cozy it will be during that time of year.

Im getting alot of almond... It is not the sweet sickly scent of tonka. Much more an almond. Smells very much like a lush product but more sophisticated. Starts with almond and honey but not sickly sweet at all. (I don’t get lemon) Then it goes in to a very interesting feminine and masculine vibe simultaneously. The dirty vetiver smells masculin and the flowers feminine. I love the juxtaposition. And a lovely long lasting base. Very interesting. You should definitely test it.

Opening: Unisex Lemon & Iris Mid: Feminine Jasmine/White Florals Dry Down: Mildly Masculine Vetiver & Vanilla This fragrance is loud and proud. It projects like a mofo. Overall, It is a little too feminine for me as a guy, and I don't mind wearing quite a few fem-leaning fragrances, but this is a little too much. It reminds me of my really loud, and at times, cloying cousin-in-law. After having to deal with Siesta for about an hour, I really wanted her to leave. 4.5/10

this fragrance smells like earthy tonka like imagine the smell of tonka but earthy with cedar and iris in the back, the smell is good i would give it 7 or 8 out of 10. is it unique? yes it is if someone wants an easy fragrance that most people would like and smells unique i would suggest it for you. the performance is good i wouldn’t over spray it overall rating 8 out 10 also not a safe blind buy

To my nose this fragrance reminds me of a combination of Armani Code and Chanel Edition Blanche. Take the Lemon tartness from Edition Blanche, the powdery sweetness from Code and add a sugar cookie. Totally unisex with nuclear performance.

Lemon honey tea shower gel. Thats a basic description of this fragrance. It does that very well though. I like it I think it’s relatively unique definitely will get you attention in the summer heat. Rating 4.2 seems fair.

Strong powdery/citrusy/vanilla fragrance. Smells like iris & cookies but not too sweet and that’s amazing. In the dry down, ceddar and vanilla are the most prominent scents. Beautiful & powerful fragrance

Nice, but the coconut note reminds me too much of Bounty chocolate. Feels a bit gourmand for my taste. I wouldn’t have bought it if I tried it before, but it’s still pleasant.

This is Edition Blance but a little stronger

For me, Siesta smells like a hybrid of "The Ghost In The Shell" by ELDO and "1979 New Wave" by Les Bains Guerbois (both are not my cup of tea). It could be a great fresh cedar scent, but it gets extremely lactonic but not TGITS-sweet-lactonic.
