Rue Rance Eau de France

Meadow grass on a cool summer morning. Very cold, clean and fragile scent.

This is supposedly a unisex fragrance but i find it leans more towards women because of its sweet fruity floral character. The initial spray smells like guava fruits and leaves mashed together. it's very refreshing! but i lose this note on my skin towards the drydown, i get something very sweet and the fragrance morphs into a sweet generic fruity floral. Spraying it on my shirt retains the guava note, the flowers and the freshness and also prevents it from turning into a tootache-inducing saccharine mess :D

God forbid... this, I'm afraid, is really vile. Grandma's soap (bar) like... Huuge no from me, I'd never in a hundred millions years want to smell anything like it. Sprayed with enthusiasm on both wrists (never, ever the neck for test, it's way too close to the nose!) and regretted it. I can tell the quality, but who these days wants to smell like a walking soap bar? Massive disappointment and neat hate.

it reminds me of my grandma's soap - the scent of apple blossoms it was called thirty years ago. it's light and fresh and surprisingly calming. just right for a warm spring morning with a cool breeze blowing into your open balcony.

Oh I give up with Rance as a house.. does this smell like France? A dull little cologne kind of smell? I've gone beyond saying sorry for not liking their stuff now & am just irritated.
