Rue Rance Eau Sublime

My story with this brand is a funny one. Of course, I had heard about Rance many times before the discovery, but since I didn't really feel it presence in my circle, I assumed it wasn't creating for my type of person and I didn't pay attention...huge mistake, because maybe not all the perfume but a lot of them are feminist fragrances, this one too. This perfume was the first I discovered from them. It's true that in a slightly hilarious way. I was in a chic perfumery in downtown Copenhagen, I had entered especially because during the trip between Switzerland and Denmark, my travel bottle with Sublime by Patou had broken in my luggage, it was the only perfume brought and it was the special perfume chosen to complete the suit which I was going to wear at a very important business meeting. I hurried into the perfumery, and asked for a large bottle of Sublime , I can swear I said Patou but who knows. I of course saw the packaging changed while the store assistant put it in the paper bag but I thought they would have changed the design and it really wasn't much different from Sublime. Finally, I went out with the perfume, got in the car waiting for me and went to the hotel to change having very little time before the moment when I had to appear to the meeting. I was in such a hurry that I didn't even realize it wasn't Patou until I sprayed it. But when I was surrounded by a spring of citrus with iris, I realized that something was not right."Something is rotten in the State of Denmark" . Only then did I realize what I had in my hand and I was a little disappointed, I was about to sign my first contract by which we buy another company and turn it into a subsidiary of my company, I was about to become the President of a European corporation, and I had chosen Patou for that occasion, a perfume meant to make me feel even stronger in a predominantly male room which I should have not only dominate but also terrify easily. I didn't have anything to do anyway, so I sprayed another puf and headed for the car. As we approached, I began to feel my citrus scent turn into a cold flower, a green royal lilac with something slightly woody and spicy, and an earthy yet floral note that made me think easily of a floral cologne for men. I felt better and better wearing that smell, it complemented me perfectly, and everything went well in the end. I still love this perfume today, although I rarely wear it, because I want it to keep the memory of that time, but every time I use it I feel cold but aristocratic, it is not as hard or creepy as Patou in the generally coldness but but it is dignified, sober, and puts a distance that leaves no room for interpretation. Its duration is long, the base with iris keeps an eternity on clothes, especially. My dear strong ladies, I advise you to try it at least once. It's a slightly masculine scent, not sweet, earthy and very sober which will surely complement well a suit with a blazer and pants but also a strong attitude of a determined woman, une Grande dame d'honneur du féminisme.

My love for Rance starts from Eau Sublime. It is my fourth Rance after Eau Royale, Eau de France and 2 Rance. Long ago, I would always overlook Rance, deliberately, whenever I saw the collection in any racks. It took me almost a decade to finally be in a relationship, and better yet, it found me at the right time. I must say Rance truly masters the arts of citrusy aristocracy. Every scent sees the elegance of 18th century, yet feels absolutely relevant for today. Eau Sublime, is a perfect name. It smells sublime, elegant, cultured, gentleman and ladylike. 100% unisex. Projection is moderate, longevity is excellent. If the Louvre had its signature room fragrance, I would suggest Eau Sublime as one of options, especially for Denon wing. -AB-

Ooooh another 'like it so much but I would not rebuy if I will finish it'! Eau Sublime is a lovely lime fragrance! Lime with a little lilac, iris and vanilla can do miracles! The stingy kitchen-cleaner nature of the lime is pretty much smoothened and makes it nice and natural. It leaves a strange 'after-smell' in my nose though after sniffing it, so I will not be doing that too much. But I am really glad to have it in my collection, it is a great choice for next summer/spring, or anytime I feel like smelling something sunny and clean. To me it screams; 'I am an open person! Speak to me!' :)

Easy to wear, especially the beautiful bottles are worthy of keeping them in your work bags or in your car's dashboard, taking one to the office or wearing it on a daily basis for the price it's offered here! A niche designer house that once created perfumed gloves for the French Nobles! I see why.. most of them contain a classic fougere cologne dna that makes you think of the 17's perfume acts with those big dab bottles they would apply on their neck.

I Absolutly love this fragrance, It smells soo delicious. My partner loves it and i get coments on it all the time.
