I looooove this scent on my bf! It's like the ever so slightly more masc take on santal 33 (but still super unisex by all means) with a hint more herbal/woodiness. The ambergris gives this sandalwood frag a bit more of a concrete/dry feeling, and the clove adds just the smallest hint of spice. Perfect for any season, but especially fall/winter.

While I can understand the Santal 33 reference, this doesn’t go pickle-y in the way Santal 33 does on my skin. In Santalum, iris is used rather than violet, which could be the reason for that difference. (and iris is listed as a note on their packaging but not on Fragrantica — fyi). I really love this.

Very similar to Santal 33 but without the leather that I don’t like on me. Greener than the le labo version. If like me you don’t like that leather note on Le Labo, get this instead

This does share a "vibe" with Santal 33, but is not an attempt at a "dupe" at all. This doesn't have any hint at Santal's "pickle" note, which makes this fragrance far more palatable. My only hesitation with this scent is that you might prefer it as a candle or reeds in oil. I can't tell if *I* want to smell like this, or if I want my house and closet to smell like this.

It really feels like Ranger Station just makes dupes after trying their discovery set, this is a dupe of Santal 33 with a few tweaks, a bit greener and a bit more caradmom spice. It's not great.
