Find Comfort

I love the packaging and I love the scent. It does smell comforting. I like that it’s sweet, but not cloying; I find that the sour and tart elements of it from the top notes, and the powderiness from the iris, stop it from completely feeling sticky—in the air. As much as I want it to be a bedtime scent for its cashmeran-like quality, on my skin, it’s sticky, and it bothers me. I feel as if ants would crawl on me while I’m sleeping. But the smell is soft, feminine and calming, so I’m still getting a full bottle for days I want to lounge around or want to spray on something after a shower. Update 08/20/25: I got a full bottle, and this is revolutionizing my view of body mists. It smells like sweet rain water. Now I want to look further into body mists other than the ones offered at BBW and Victoria’s Secret.

This is a sweeter, cozier, less crisp, more cashmere twist on Bal d'Afrique. The fine mist sprayer is luxe, which makes using it a treat. The formula itself is rather oily and the product is supposed to be shaken prior to spraying. Performance is ok, not the best, but it's a body mist. It's fine for what it is. Nice bedtime scent or for relaxing around the house, reading or any occasion where you don't want to smell "Beast Mode" or offend anyone, such as in medical settings.I would say it's worth buying at 20% off when Sephora has their sales events. I could see this scent and the experience of using it becoming addictive for some people.

“Find Comfort” is a great name for it, this just feels like a nice hug. This is my new go-to everyday scent. It’s fresh but cozy, familiar but has its uniqueness. It smells like an everything shower or a really fancy spa day. It doesn’t last too well on the skin but it sticks to my hair and has pretty good projection, I get so many compliments every time I wear this. The atomizer is sooo satisfying, it is definitely a light mist. I find that 4 sprays per use is often more than enough, which is good considering this is only a hair/body mist. Hoping Rare Beauty comes out with a perfume version of this, immediately add to cart!

I have the .33 fl.oz of the perfume version and it does have that spa like scent. Or like an aromatherapy shampoo. It also did smell similar to my all time fave perfume Pink Woods by Ariana Grande. But for some reason I keep thinking it smells familiar like as in a ‘perfume I haven’t smelled in years’ familiar. I’m guessing it’s similar to Eau Parfumee au The Vert by Bvlgari but the only way to find out is if I ever get my hands on a sample of Bvlgari again. Was thinking of layering this with Pink Woods for my wedding ceremony. Still not sure though because I’ve been wanting to use it so bad beforehand. lol

THIS is what I wish Rare had made a full size edp of instead of the other one that smells like Burberry Goddess. I love Goddess and I own it. But we have enough Goddess dupes out there, and good ones at that (Angham for instance). We need a wallet friendly Bal D'Afrique! I thought Ariana Grande Pink Woods was a good dupe for it, and it's okay, but this in my opinion is closer to the Bal D'A dna. I really enjoy this. Here's hoping that if enough people say it that they'll make a full size of it because I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Rare Beauty Find Comfort was a gift in my 41 birthday in 2024. This is a favorite fragrance of mine. It is light and airy but gives to effect of drinking a warm cup of Earl grey tea. I was having a problem tolerating fragrances so my sister in law gave me this hoping I could finally like a perfume again and I do. I have long hair and I spray it on my hair to make it last. I feel it is unique. I am an Arden Green Tea fan (that is another fragrance I still enjoy). It is in that “zen” territory but warmer.

I am shockeddddd!!!!! How is this not a perfume!!!! This is like Lush body spray, last almost one or two days on clothes and about 5/6 hours on skin. Sillage is crazy for a body spray, last as long as Ariana Grande Cloud 2.0, let the good time roll and Sillage is stronger, could be too strong sometimes. Very comforting and warm tea/woody scent. It dries down into very smooth and warm sweet, nutty smell.

It’s a Bal D’Afrique dupe. I think it’s too close to be a coincidence. And IMO, a 100mL Byredo dupe for under $30 is really good value! It’s quite linear on my clothes lasts 4-6 hours on clothes before it becomes very faint. On skin, it dries down quickly to a very faint musky violet, barely detectable. I haven’t tried it in my hair yet, which might last longer than on skin at least.

AMAZING. citrus, woods, greens, and florals. lasts an outrageously long time for a body mist (similar length of time to an average longevity eau de parfum). my husband, who prefers more traditionally feminine scents, has gone through 4 bottles since it has been released lol

For a body mist this stuff is great! I bought and went through this fragrance in a few months. Perfect for anyone who wants to smell good but not over project. Also, a great anytime fragrance that can be layered well too. Great citrus balance with cozy vibes. Love!

Omg, spent ages thinking what it was like and it’s like my favourite, Bal D Afrique. It’s light, and very lovely and I will be getting it when I run out of B d A body crème and lotion as it is soooo reasonably priced and will layer with the fragrance brilliantly.

Agree with previous reviewers. THIS is what Rare Beauty should have made a full size EDP version of. I own Bal D’Afrique (along with the absolu version) and Find Comfort is the closest thing I’ve found to BdA.

Starts off very green and woody but quickly wears down to a citrusy floral amber. Smells like sipping a cup of Earl Grey on a cozy picnic blanket in a field of violets. Loveeee

This one smells very clean, very fimanen. I mostly smell cashmere and violits. It's a warm dry clean smelling fragrance. Absolutely lovely. Anyone could wear this. Love it!

Very simple citrus smell I like it especially after taking a shower Its very calming and not very storng U can smell the lemon zest and the pamelo

This is a unique body mist to add to your collection. I pick up on the citrus, black tea, and cashmere wood notes. This body mist is warm while also being fresh. I wear this to the office and on the weekends during the day. I think this body mist can work for any season at any time of the day. Sometimes I use it also on my bedding or on my body before bed. I would even maybe wear this on date during the day. This fragrance is versatile and really beautiful.. I don't have anything like it. I have gotten compliments in the office when worn this body mist, which shocked me because this fragrance is not really one I would think would get "OMG, whose perfume is that?!" compliments. I do think this body mist can read more unisex, as it is not a very sweet, typically feminine fragrance.

Okay, I can kinda see why people think this smells like cat litter lol. It kind of does at first very briefly- like clean, unused cat litter. But that goes away quickly. It reminds me of marigolds in the sun. I get a hint of tea & bergamot which are light & refreshing. This really is a comforting scent. Also, many people say this is sticky. I agree that it is; however, if you shake it veryyyy well & you let it dry, the stickiness eventually goes away. It doesn't last super long, but it is a body mist after all. I really like this for days at home when I don't want to wear a super strong perfume. It's soft, comforting, and therapeutic.

Very soft, slightly earthy, extremely cozy. More than anything, I love the super fine and gentle mist that this provides, as well as the little ball in the bottle when you shake it (sooo satisfying ahaha). This is definitely within the Bal D'Afrique and Bjork and Berries White Forest camp of spa-like, slightly foresty yet with a creamy tonka and cashmere drydown. Find Comfort is a bit more lactonic and less green than those two, but is still has that herbal/aromatic quality to it. Very comforting- the name doesn't lie!

I didn't know what to expect going into this, but Find Comfort ended up being a really lovely scent. It is admittedly quite weak and sits close to the skin for only an hour or two at most. Oddly, it seemed to stay longest on my hair, which is usually not the case for me. The main notes of citrus, floral and vanilla play very equally together so that it never pulls overwhelmingly in any one direction. I enjoyed wearing this most at night as part of my bedtime routine. It's a bit too weak to hold its own during the day.

Initially when I sprayed it I found it too lemon heavy but after it dries down, it smells incredibly luxurious and spa life. It is very comforting, I initially liked the lotion more but the mist grew on me! It is great ingradients and needs to be shaken well so that it doesn't leave a residue. The atomizer is really nice! If you are thinking, buy a smaller bottle, most people would like it!

Bought the small gift set from Sephora. Love the scent. A very close (but not exact) dupe for Byredo Bal D'Afrique. My only gripe is the "10mL" bottles are only 60% full. Check the Sephora reviews! Rare Beauty scams their customers so I wont be supporting the brand further. I can find another dupe of B.B.D'A that doesn't short their customers so blatantly. 🤬

This is a fragrance to wear at home, as its name says. It is comforting and powdery at first, but after some minutes there is a soft touch of violets, lemon and black tea. It is so calming and honestly, it is so different and innovative. It is relaxing and may help people who are looking for a fragrance that can help in aromatherapy.

I sampled Find Comfort at Marshall's a couple nights ago, and yes, I definitely agree with everyone else who's said AG's Pink Woods (which I own) smells incredibly similar! Pink Woods is far stronger and sweeter though. If I didn't own it, I would have bought a bottle of Find Comfort as it's still such a lovely, fresh scent.

I don't have Bal D'Afrique , so I cannot comment, but this is a very clean and fresh body spray, light and with poor to medium projection, that dries into something herby and aromatic very quickly. It's pleasant, reminds me of a Spanish supermarket cologne called "Heno de Pravia" in the dry down.

this is really pleasant. a little muskier than i was expecting, which is actually a nice surprise. definitely a good scent for relaxing/chill days edit: i just realized that this reminds me of an abercrombie store in 2010, but like... less aggressive. i think that's why i like it so much

A nice, fresh citrusy scent with a hint of sweetness. Not much sillage and only lasts an hour or two. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Aquolina Pink Sugar: powdery and sweet, not citrusy ❌ JHAG Not a Perfume: a musky skin scent, not citrusy ❌ SDJ ‘40: a sweet and fruity vanilla

Been wearing it before going to bed everyday since I bought it and love it, can’t think of a better purpose, it really has the comforting quality of the name. Also I’m obsessed with the atomiser lol, I wasn’t expecting anything since the bottle is all plastic but it sprays beautifully

Obviously, it’s very similar to Bal D'Afrique, but otherwise, it could be a good alternative to the overpriced Byredo one. Somehow less citrusy, and very pleasant. I kinda regret not buying it when I could have.

This is such a comforting and beautiful scent. It's like wearing comfy pajamas that just came out from the dryer. Strangely I detected a pineapple/Pina colada smell in this?

find comfort is a beautifully done body mist. cashmere wood, lemon zest, pomelo and black tea are the stand out notes to me. no lasting power (1-2 hours on me) but i find that it lasts a little longer if sprayed on hair or clothing. very inoffensive and can be worn in a tight office space. the bottle has two little stones inside to help mix up the mist and i enjoy shaking the f*ck out of it. it's so calming lol!! in my opinion, i don't think selena would jump right into releasing fragrances with rare beauty. i'm guessing she planned on doing a body mist first to see how well it'd do with sales. if so, she knows what she's doing. i HOPE an EDP fragrance version of this comes next.

When I first sprayed this it immediately brought me back to childhood - a very strong plastic smell that reminded me of Bratz dolls. The smell is strongly woody and vaguely citrus, coming from someone who predominantly like citrus fragrances. This smell overall gives a clean doll smell, although not very powdery. Not sure if it’s from the packaging but it’s a very strong manufactured plastic smell to me.

Blind bought and tried it without checking the notes. I immediately picked up citrus and violet. This also smells very green to me. Also possibly a bit after shave-y or tobacco-ey which I suppose could be the tonka. It's an interesting scent. It's like a far less sweet version of the purple cheirosa SDJ spray. Also, it's not listed in the notes, but I'm pretty sure there is eucalyptus in this one.

At first I couldn’t smell anything. It was almost like I had just sprayed water. Then I asked my girlfriend to smell it and she said: “it smells like a packet of chicken ramen that has been sitting in the pantry for a long time”. After smelling it again, I can confirm this is an accurate evaluation. Stale noodle and foil 🤷♀️

I have the edp, I sprayed it around 10 times when I got it and let it sit for 15-ish days, I think it macerated, I definitely get a slight sweetness that I didn't get before. Now that, that has occurred it is reminding me of Burberry- Her.

Smells like a cheaper version of bal d'afrique. I thought it was nice in the store but after using it a couple times I got sick of the scent

I really wanted to like this as I found it discounted and the atomizer is lovely - along with the added nourishing ingredients like niacinamide and biotin. However, upon the first spray, it smelled faintly like greasy hair and musky - very skin like. There is a really odd burnt/cigarette smokey note that my nose picks up immediately and if it were not for that, perhaps I would've liked it. I really tried to appreciate the comforting notes that smell cozy, but the burnt note was pretty overpowering. I must praise the atomizer however, and because of that and beneficial ingredients, I am open to trying other scents from the rare beauty collection. However, this one is going to get a 1/10 from me

I tried it in stores the other day, hoping I'd found a cheaper alternative to Byredo Bal D'afrique, unfortunately, this is nothing like BDA. I saw a review saying it was the cheaper version - that's an understatement. I'm a bit gutted. Honestly I don't really care much for this scent at all. I'd excepted more given all the positive reviews. It's like comparing Sicilian lemons that have just grown perfect in the warm sun - to a bottle of lemon juice extract from the supermarket. BDA is a creamy and well balanced scent, to me, this is sour and screeching compared to that, it smells more sharp and less refined. So in conclusion, they are not similar, this scent is not something I'd recommend.

I guess I didn't really know what I was expecting from this body mist, but it's just okay. It's a very basic citrus scent with musk and tea notes. It doesn't last very long at all, only about 30 minutes. I used it mostly for my hair so that it would smell fresh in-between washes. I know this was the same perfumer Byredo uses, so I think I was expecting something more elevated and complex. There is a dewy element to this that makes it feel slightly moldy to me. Overall, way overpriced for what it is, in my opinion. Rating: 3/10

This was a fast purchase and an even faster return. I purchased the body mist after trying a sample of the body lotion. The lotion's scent was so refreshing and comforting that I didn't want it to leave my skin! But when I tried the spray version, it was completely nauseating. Sadly, the beautiful scent of the lotion just didn't translate to the mist.

Not sure if I sprayed too close to my hair but it has a very chemically smell that I don't love. TBD on if that will dissipate later. Update, it does not dissipate and is unwearable from the headache it gives me

Yuck! The notes sound lovely but on my skin it just smells like ashes with a pinch of aniseed. Also yeah, this is weirdly oily? I'm glad I don't like it, it'd be an absolute pain to use!

I was really hopeful, but this smells like bug spray! I will use it this summer to keep the bugs off my legs.

This is a very similar scent profile to Bal D’afrique which is such a lovely spa-like scent profile, but this particular scent disappears off clothing around 20 minutes in unfortunately, and that’s after shaking the formula very very well. On my hair it lasts around an hour before it is gone but it is quite faint smelling it on me spraying 8 times, and the formula weighs my fine hair down and makes it oily so it is not a fit for me. It also slightly gives me a headache unfortunately. Very strange for a body mist to not last but also simultaneously give me a headache.

A very fine mist atomizer and a bottle that you need to shake before applying, it has a metal mixing sphere inside. The consistency on skin is somehow oily and a bit sticky, maybe because of the biotin and niacinamide. This is straight burned wood or smoke on my skin, to the point that after few hours I start wondering who smoked a cigarette near me. Then there is a mysterious note, maybe the pomelo? The scent performs better on my hair than on my skin. It’s a bit of a weird scent, but in an intriguing way, it’s also a bit masculine.
