Al Attar Al Thameen

I have the sister fragrance of this, but didn’t have access to the bottle for a comparison. This one is very similar and I can’t remember enough about Al Bahy to remember the differences. Anyway, I love both of these and when I read someone write “Joop” below I instantly realized why. I love Joop and this is a bit like Joop - perhaps a bit less cloying. But, they are similar enough that when I read the comment, the light bulb went on in my head and I don’t know how I missed it at first. Anyway, this is a beautiful, long-lasting, oud and floral dominated scent. It’s incredibly smooth, like velvet and pretty sweet as well. It lasts for a really long time on my skin - going near a day or so. The oud is so fresh that I really don’t get any top notes on this. This just dives right into the heart of the scent - oud, jasmine and orange blossom. On my skin I can glean some amber and on paper the musk stands out more, but there’s not a huge difference. The latter part of the fragrance just sort of fades in terms of intensity. There’s a bit of the white floral, soapy smell, but it’s very small, as the musk and amber become a bit more noticeable. I don’t get much rose and violet at any time, but overall I think this is a great scent and would recommend trying a sample. I was able to find a 3 oz. sample on ebay.

One of my signature scents. It's The epitome of Gulf... It's very oudy, spicy, with hints of amber, musk, and perhaps some vanilla scent layered with jasmine. It is not very sweet yet it is soft enough to be worn by women. It merges with everyone's skin uniquely and it smells differently on everyone. It is very oriental, very Arabic, very traditional, yet oh so sensual. It lasts for hours and hours... The concentration is wonderfully long lasting, a little goes a long way... However since its not cloying, even if you bathe in it it will not give you a headache... One of my all time favorites... Men love it just as much as women... It's absolutely wonderful

Disgusting. It’s JOOP! with faecal oud. The vanilla is rancid. They should just call it ‘JOOP! & OUD’

This is Beautiful,i dont really get the floral notes , on me it smells like a thick deep honeyed slightly spicy ambery musk , it reminds me very much of Shay by Anfasic Dokhoon , It's not a clear the room perfume , doesn't project far but good on sillage ,you will still smell this the following morning , lasts on my clothing even longer , will suit anyone that loves warm snuggly perfumes , it really suits a Male friend of mine , so despite the feminine looking bottle I would say yes to being unisex.

The oud here is a bit fecal, but it's not super fecal. I find shalimar edp more fecal than this. I think it can work with the right body chemistry, and the oud does smell authentic. Also very musky powdery. Not getting any rose. ** Get in touch to swap samples - UK only**
