Al Wisam Evening

First off let me tell you this smells nothing like Creed Royal Oud, the only similarity they share is the fact they are both in a bottle! This is a unique scent to me, it starts off quite strong & intense with lavender & galbanum. the fragrance can be off putting if you are not used to heavy eastern scents. i get no rose or lemon from this, but other than that the notes listed are what i get. longevity is about 6/7hrs for me & projects pretty good for about 3hrs before it starts calming down its good but its not for everyone, dont buy it thinking you will get Creed Royal Oud because you wont, if you can sample it 1st id advise that over a blind buy. Its a fantastic scent & id recommend it 100% but if you can sample it first, please do!!

The same house has Blue for men with the exact same synthetic smell without the oud And a lot much cheaper And both IMO are attempts to clone classic Carolina Herrera for men.

Although Evening itself is a great fragrance it's nowhere near as impactful as Day. There's definitely a fresh aromatic vibe to it and you can sense an evening feel to this. Like a sort of relaxing as the day slowly fades away to make way for the full splendour of an evening of calm on a balcony just watching the world pass by. That's the kind of vibe I get from this fray. Between this and Day I definitely prefer the latter but that's not to say Evening is bad in any way - Just that I instantly fell in love with Day more.

This is a strange one. It's incredibly familiar but I can't pinpoint what (I have a feeling that it's not even a fragrance). This comes off as extremely unique and is very long lasting. There is a strong lavender and what I can only presume is galbanum but they combine to create a very mysterious and captivating scent. I have a sample of test with further but I am really enjoying it so far. It's very different enough to stand out and make a very good first impression.

I really liked the day version of Al Wisam but wasn’t a huge fan of this one. Initially I noticed the lemon and galbanum of this fragrance. The lemon fades quickly, but the galbanum and black currant give this a sort of unripe, green aura for most of the scent. I really didn’t get much rose until the dry down, where it’s sweetness is allowed some space alongside the musk and wood base. The last part of AWE is nice, but the general thrust of this didn’t really do much for me. I would definitely pick up a bottle of the Day, but this just wasn’t my cup of tea.
