Hawas for Him

For the Culture For all of the comparisons to Invictus, and its various sequels scents, Hawas still manages to retain its individuality, and uniqueness as a sweet, spicy, musky aquatic. This remains the case even with comparisons to Acqua Di Gio Absolu — which I have beside me as I write this. To be fair: all of the above mentioned fragrances fall within the same genre of men’s fragrance, so to find commonalities amongst them is no different than discovering similarities between, say, vehicles, homes, cinematography or any other commodity that one desires to fulfill a particular purpose. Sport sedans are all four-door, spirited vehicles with excellent handling and suspension. Beach homes are designed to capitalize on the fact the home is on the beach, and romantic comedies are romantic, and comedic. Often I find the criticism of likeness among fragrance options to be both unwarranted, and generally exaggerated by the majority of aficionados — not to mention unhelpful. Plus, the rumor of reformulation is completely overblown. I’ve owned a bottle of Hawas each year since its inception. They all perform, and smell virtually the same. Moreover, this isn’t the sort of fragrance one easily becomes anosmic to. Simply put: the shit is strong. On the opening, you will receive a very sweet, dense, spicy, and vaguely aquatic impression due to the apple, plum, cinnamon, and lemon. The musk, patchouli, and ambergris more or less are there, but won’t play vigorously until the fragrance begins to dry. Oddly enough, Hawas (throughout its peculiarly long lifespan for an aquatic) never truly loses all of its primary notes until well near the ten hour mark. This offers a nice bit of complexity, as the scent will transition to various phases depending on skin chemistry, and ambient temperature. Hawas also has a quality which you do not find amongst Absolu, or Invictus, Wanted, or even the various Armaf renditions of the sweet, musky aquatics: Hawas has a sort of dense, nearly dirtiness to it somehow. The ambergris lends a very slight saltiness to the overall composition that offers an accord that is both pleasant somehow, while being distinctive enough to differentiate Hawas from the aforementioned. That is to say Hawas possesses enough varying qualities to merit a test if you find yourself wanting something relatively unique, but similar to the available plethora. It also might be worth noting that due to the cardamom, and cinnamon, Hawas can also be worn in colder months without much hassle, too. As I had mentioned earlier, Hawas is quite dense. In cold, it performs very well, although the scent itself begins to carry less of the salty ambergris in lieu of a heightened sweetness in conjunction with spice that comes across as candy or beverage-like. If you like Absolu, but want more complexity or depth, try Hawas. If you enjoy Invictus, but perhaps would like a fragrance that is similar, but with a noticeable twist, try Hawas. If you favor Wanted, but desire a departure from your norm, try Hawas. If you have within your collection enough of this specific genre, you can absolutely skip Hawas, and miss nothing whatsoever. The fragrance is close enough to the median of the scent type that it’s nothing especially ingenious. But, it is very good, and my personal favorite of the bunch. Insofar as longevity, and projection: the scent is not leaving your body unless accompanied by a shower, and you should receive approximately three hours of more than arm’s length projection. Once it mellows, it sits at maybe half that distance, but stays there densely for many hours. The dry down, for most of the fragrance is simply the mid, but waning. You’ll know the scent is dying when you mostly smell ambergris, patchouli, and musk. But, by that time it will more than probably be the next day. 9/10. Easily one of my favorite fragrances. this is my 2nd review of this fragrance, it smells better every time i wear it. its cinnamony and plummy but somehow its still very very fresh, its also syrupy sweet, very dense, while still somehow being airy. imagine a ton of citruses, a ton of plum/grape and just a salty aquatic/cucumbery smell, thats what this is, made very sweet and loud, perfect for everyday wear, amazing for compliments, doesnt matter what u look like or what u wear, people will compliment you regardless, its just super mass appealing and widely considered to be one of the best scent profiles of all time. it is amazing. super long lasting and amazingly projecting. i have a layering combo with this that i cannot gatekeep anymore. try it out with go mango by armaf, it smells like hawas but with an added fruity tropical and ripe mango. even more mass appealing and i feel like these fragrances are ones that fill out each others gaps, hawas was in need of a slightly tropical edge and go mango was lacking in citruses, this layering combo fixes both problems in one strike. 1 spray of go mango as the base and 1 spray of rasasi hawas as the top layer, it honestly smells like something out of a dream. if you dont own go mango, alternatively you can use another mango heavy fragrance, i.e. vulcan feu or opulent dubai, honestly anything that has a gof-like mango scent will do. try it out, its amazing. hawas is good enough on its own but this just takes it to another level. anyways, back to just hawas, i dont think it needs spelling out that i think this version is a whole lot better than the ice flanker. yes, to some people ice may smell better but the dense and syrupy side of the og is what makes it stand out compared to other summer fragrances. ice isnt as loud, doesnt last that long, its a "refined" version of the original but old is always gold, i am forever gonna be glazing this version not hawas ice, the og is so much better.

Rasasi Hawas is a surprisingly odd, unique, and genuinely great cheap Arabian fragrance. To me, it is not just a basic sweet aquatic like people make it sound. There is definitely fruity sweetness in it, but that is not the only thing going on. Underneath that sweet aquatic opening, it has this humid, musky, slightly musty ambergris feeling that gives it way more character than a normal blue or summer fragrance. It smells clean and fresh, but there is also this warm skin-like quality underneath that makes it feel more masculine and addictive. What I like about Hawas is that the synthetic side actually works. It does not smell natural like something such as Sama or Goldfield & Banks Pacific Rock Moss, and that is okay. Those types of fragrances feel more like cool mineral water, wet rocks, citrus peel, and clean air. Hawas feels more like a loud, sweet, musky aquatic cloud around you, almost like warm skin after being near water. A lot of people call it fruity, and I do understand that because there is a clear fruity sweetness to it. But to me, the musky and slightly funky side is what makes it special. It is fruity, aquatic, sweet, humid, and a little musty in a good way. That slight oddness keeps it from feeling boring. Without that, it would just be another generic fresh cologne. For me, Hawas is a great warm-weather or night-out fragrance, especially for the price. It is confident, strong, easy to wear, and more unique than people give it credit for. It is synthetic, but in the best way. It takes a fresh fruity aquatic idea and makes it louder, muskier, stranger, and more memorable.

Just purchased a bottle manufactured in 2022. The juice is purple and the performance is ridiculously strong for an aquatic. I'm talking 12 hours plus easily. So in a nutshell, don't be afraid to buy this one because of reformulation rumors. It's stronger than ever and the juice is still distinctly purple. I'm thinking the people who got bottles with grey juice and horrible performance just happened to get a bad batch. I'm pretty disappointed that I waited this many years to pick this one up because it truly is a masterpiece and equally as good if not better than Invictus Aqua 2016. Also if you want the dead on exact scent of Aqua 2016, Hawas layers perfectly with Mont Blanc Legend Spirit and makes it an exact replica of that fragrance. An oceanic, sea salt scent with that slight bubblegum undercurrent of the original Invictus. Just perfect. Forget Sauvage and the rest of the big names that are hyped up for hot weather, because if you don't own Rassasi Hawas for those high heat days, you've already played yourself. This juice lasts and lasts no matter how hot and humid it is outside. Fragrances like Versace Pour Homme or Versace Man Eau Fraiche may smell great in high heat, but they absolutely do not have the performance of this one.

Amazing summer/spring perfume, could also be used in fall due to the sweetness. Not really a 1:1 Invictus clone, i'm not even sure if it's supposed to be one, but i actually prefer this over Invictus. Before macerating, this had a mild wet dog aroma to it, but after a bit of maceration, that's gone. It's mostly fruity with water/aquatic notes, citrus and a bit of musk, mass appealing but not very unique. Kinda synthetic, but not in a bad way. I don't smell that much spice in it, but there is some, i also don't smell the cinnamon and plum, but that doesn't detract from the scent. Definitely a youthful scent, guys who prefer a more traditional manly scent might not be the biggest fan of this, it's still masculine even through the sweetness. Also, the projection and longevity is damn good for a scent like this, it's spring right now, so it's not that warm yet, so i do 4 sprays and it's enough to leave a nice, but not overwhelming trail of scent behind me for around 6 hours, then it gets a little milder but still smellable. Also, the purple glass bottle looks pretty cool, and the atomizer is quite generous. I bought it for 23 Euro, amazing price for what you get. Definitely worth it if you like fragrances of this type.

I've owned this fragrance for 1.5 years and has been a staple in my collection but i've noticed that the smell changed multiple times since i've used it. The first time i had it smelled liked a smooth sweet soapy fragrance with a "middle east" typa smell but its very good. After 2-3 months the scent genuinely changed. It became more fresh, the "middle east" smell was gone and the bubblegum became less sweet and watered-down. Meanwhile the citrus and aquatic was amped up and this was my favourite version of it cus it became less sweet and more versatile. After 1 year and i havent worn it for atleast 4 months the smell changed again. This time the bubblegum and the sweetnes was much more prominent and it became more synthetic for the first 20min of wearing. But after 30 minutes the scent of the bubblegum and sweetnes was toned down but it still is the main smell of the fragrance. Either way it still smelled nice on every version but i liked the second part of the fragrance more and maybe i noticed these changes because my nose grew over time and i have been smelling more fragrance or its just the fragrance having some weird changes by time. Good fragrance, somewhat versatile, great performance, don't blind buy it.

The TikTok kids made me do it and I'm glad I did ! This is my very first Arab juice and this thing is amazing. This fragrance is super versatile and has this "feel good" vibe to it. It opens fruity almost bubble gummy with a slight hint of citrus and cinnamon on it, the apple and cinnamon opening play really good together. The dry down turns into this salty marine woody scent that I like a lot. This one is a crowd pleaser and can be worn any season any time but hot weather would suit it best. Love the bottle design and the liquid color makes it very unique. I recommend specially for the price, you can get a bottle for like $30 . I have used this cologne for a few months and it is a very good cologne. There is a lot of versatility with this cologne especially for its price point. It only takes 1-2 sprays for this cologne to really activate itself and is very strong too. I had friends smell me across the room. But a downside is that many people are most likely wearing this cologne so you may be seen as basic. Also, Rasasi Hawas Ice is just like Rasasi Hawas For Him but even better but it is also a bit more expensive. Rasasi Hawas for him is also a bit for youthful and I wouldn’t recommend for older people who are going for a more masculine and old fashion type of scent. I’d say that this cologne is most similar to Paco Rabanne Invictus Aqua. I’d recommend using this cologne for every day things like going to school or the office.

Hawas For Him is a spicy, acquatic, fresh and ambery scent. It has a youthful, sexy and laid back kind of vibe, perfect for pretty much any occasion. I have the complete Hawas line and this is still in my top 3 just because of how good and easy to wear this is. I actually prefer this over Ice, since i feel Ice is much more linear and less musky. The only thing i dislike about this is that nowadays it is hard to find a genuine purple batch specially since there's a lot of fakes. I managed to scoop one up for $20 and it's just top notch. I remember i skipped this when it came out cause it was $70 anywhere i looked. Now that the hype is all in on the flankers, this has gone under the radar. Still a must own for any young guy or girl that is looking to start a collection without breaking the bank. 10/10.

If you like Invictus you'll love this fragrance Personally this smells like a more grown up version of Invictus. I also find it has better longevity and projection. I've been wearing this as my daily, since its fresh and hard to overspray (summer 3-4 sprays winter 5-6). This can be worn all year round if layered properly during the colder months. I find that on my skin it lasts well into 10-12 hours. The first 3 hours it really projects and from 5-10hours it sits very close to the skin. Great value for money if you can find it around $40-50 CAD but to be honest I would still spend $100 if the price ever increased If you layer it with 9pm this is a compliment magnet at clubs and bars. Also might be somewhat biased since my girlfriend loves this scent on me.

Finally this amazing scent is on Fragrantica. This spicy, sexy yet masculine scent is easily my most complimented. I get MASSIVE notices whenever I wear this no matter the setting. It's sweet without being juvenile. It's light enough to wear in hotter weather and heavy enough to wear in cooler weather. Yes, it's a Vivaldi. The projection and sillage of this fragrance is easily Beast Mode. You WILL be noticed. Both women AND men compliment me when I wear this. I'm one of the few people that believe you can wear this on any occasion. From work, to casual, to a night out to date to formal. If you like compliments, wear this. Blind buy easy. 10 out of 10 and Hoarding Worth.

Hawas is such a beast of a fragrance. Bought this a couple years ago and it’s been my most complimented fragrance in my entire collection out of every single fragrance I own. I picked it up for a little over $20 too! Performance wise I can still smell it on my clothes the next day and it projects so well. It’s strong enough to punch through the cold as well and because of that I can wear it all year round. Some people say the ice version is better but I’ve never smelt it so I can’t confirm... what I can say is the original Hawas is phenomenal and 100% worth a pick up. Super fresh, super fruity, super blind buy safe. One million percent recommend.

Hawas has been one of the most hyped up fragrances for years now. This fragrance has that invictus DNA but as everyone says “with a twist”. It’s youthful, playful, sweet and fresh. If you are looking for an everyday scent this can be perfect, but don’t be mistaken it’s not boring at all. Longevity is somewhere between 6-8 hours. And the projection is between medium and strong but if you let it macerate a bit, it’s gonna be a lot stronger for sure. And the price is also as cheap as possible for this quality so go get one. Oh and just a reminder: the Hawas line has many great pieces, like Black, Ice, Tropical, Malibu, Elixir etc...

Very cleverly made perfume. wonderful. How funny is the discussion about synthetic and non-synthetic fragrances? If a synthetic fragrance is called, for example, Prada, then everything is fine. If a synthetic fragrance is called lattafa or rasasi, then there is a problem. Behind all the stereotypes, there is something we should realize: The Western monopoly has collapsed. Anyone who wants to sell expensive products to make a lot of money and live their own American dream, better wake up as soon as possible.

This is truly a masterpiece, I blind bought it a few days ago and it just arrived. Maybe I don’t have the most experienced and mature nose but it’s simply an amazing summer scent. I’ll update when I figure out the longevity and sillage. Edit 1: so far it’s been pretty solid but I think it needs to masurate if I notice any changes I’ll keep yall updated edit 2: Absolute compliment magnet that performs, I sat in a car and immediately got 5 compliments 3 from girls. Sillage is amazing longevity is exquisite.

Rasasi Hawas is my 2nd fragrance that I've purchased, this was a blind buy for me and it turned out great! The notes really match the description and it has great projection and longevity 8-10hrs+ An important thing to mention thought is that you have to let this macerate for a while 1-3 months. Even without the maceration process it still smells great. I'd recommend this fragrance for people who are looking for a fresh, citrusy, and clean type of smell with a little hint of vanilla which is noticeable.

Great fragrance the montblanc legend spirit invictus type smell is one of my favorites and my favorite fresh type smell and i wore it for the first time and usually people don't comment on what i am wearing but i got 2 compliments wearing it one 4 hours in and the other 6 hours it is a skin scent right now after 9 hours so it lasts a good 9-10 hours very hard to distinguish it once it becomes a skin scent as it is just a faint pure soapy musk so i would say the actual smell only lasts 6 to 7 hours

It smells very fresh, almost cleaning supply-ish but not to the point where it smells like harsh chemicals. From what I've seen, women enjoy this a lot, giving it 10 out of 10's, but for men it smells honestly somewhat boring to the point I got kind of sick of it, I just gave it to a relative who wanted to give it to their partner. Overall I suggest this for those that are younger or in a school setting who wanna get a girlfriend.

Used this in public for the first time today. Was eating breakfast at a local restaurant. The waitress was at the next table over from me refilling coffee and I overheard her compliment the guy at that table on how good he smelled. (I quietly snickered.) She left the table and stopped at mine to refill my coffee as well. She stopped and said “Oh its YOU that smells so good!” Thats all you need to know about this fragrance.

Just received my bottle today and let me tell you. The hype is legit, and well deserved. This stuff smells absolutely amazing. Fresh, fruity, aquatic. When you first spray it, i wish i could just live in a cloud of that initial spray. Great atomizer, great sillage and longevity. All around great fragrance especially for the price. Safe blind buy as well. The dry down, i swear i smell a little bit of montblanc individuel.
