Hawas Nautilus

First spray impressions (directly from the bottle without maturation). The opening is very "sea-breeze" piny with a slightly sweet, mentholated undertone like La Vosgienne Pine Sap candies. A hint of Svalbard poppy flirts with the background. After about 10-15 minutes, the ambergris joins in and the fragrance takes on a light smoky character which after 20-25 minutes is accompanied by a slight "medicinal" clove edge. It is as if you are standing on the edge of a fjord in Norway with a damp pine forest behind you through which the salty sea breeze blows. Down on the pebble beach, a fire of drift- and cedarwood is smoldering, into which someone has thrown a handful of cloves. In the late drydown, the sea breeze disappears, leaving behind a dry scent of cypress driftwood, interwoven with hints of clove and sparks of cinnamon rock candy. In the very far drydown, the (not officially listed) coumarin gives me sweet whiffs reminiscent of Brussels waffles. 😂 I can still smell it on my hand after 12 hours. I think the scent will change a bit after a few weeks of maturation, but for now it's a masculine "aquatic" with a dry, woody, smoky character with a touch of sweetness. It is a mature, redolent scent that belongs in the same category as Hawas Black, Viper, and Venom but it is the "fresher" little brother.

I have it and used it for two days, It starts with strong baby powder indeed but then the ambergris come and became complex little sweet powdery creamy with hint of sea marine scent, dry down is amazing Performance wise dnu if have bad batch , but projection is really bad its the first hawas that friends and family cant smell on me without putting their nose on my skin although using 10 sprays. It still new so will leave it to mature but compared to chrome or majestic that are really strong from the start this is very weak

This is truly odd. Not sure where they’re getting these notes from - I get way more herbal/floral than anything marine or aquatic. Baby oil and sandy beach farts. I swear I’m even getting cloves. Closest comparable for me would be Ffern’s Winter ‘26 offering, and like that, this would make a better candle or air freshener. Hoping I can sell this somehow
