Here is my honest review for Fragrantica: Ok, I'm really not sure what Hawas is doing with this release lol. I mean first the bottle comes out and it's like $80 dollars and barely available anywhere. And now I got to look again about 2 weeks after I got it and it's not available basically anywhere. Either it's a super limited release and they did not make that many bottles, or people are scooping this up and trying to resell it at a ridiculous price? I've been behind on my fragrance reviews since my friend had a motorcycle accident. I have about 10 reviews backed up. But I'm really happy to be finally posting about Hawas Thunder. It's one of my favorite perfumes that I have tested the last few days. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The review: YSL MYSLF L'Aboslu is my favorite of the MYSLF line. It has in my opinion the most presence and longevity of all of them. Hawas Thunder was no exception for me. This fragrance performed amazing after letting it mature for almost 2 weeks. I received instant compliments from my 3 female employees. Woman just love this kind of smell on a man, it is very manly in a clean and fresh way. I cannot compare what the OG smells like because it's only based on memory. But I did compare it to the famous "Nitro Elixir". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The comparison: Nitro has somewhere in the background it's famous sweet bubble gummyness to it blended into the fragrance. Nowhere near the level of Hawas, but you can see they put their own touch into the YSL MSLF L'Absolu DNA. Now for some people, they might prefer this actually and consider it a improvement on the DNA. I don't feel too strongly, I think I like it just as much, but not more then the original DNA. If I have to say which one was closer I would go with Hawas Thunder. I cannot say which one lasts longer between any of them. But Thunder projected for about 3 hours and a half which was well above average projection. Take note that it does not project a good distance, it sits a little closer to the skin. But I could still smell it for 3 hours in the air, and that's what matters most to me. I could still smell it on my skin at 9pm when I sprayed it at 11am. Great longevity too. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My conclusion: Overall, I would highly recommend this fragrance to anyone who like this DNA. This made it's way up to being in the group with my favorite Hawas! $80 is reallyyy high up for these fragrances that you can usually find at $35 once the price regulates. At that price this is a STEAL. Try the fragrance first,, to see if you really like it. And then I would recommend waiting until this gets a little lower, because $80 is sort of close to the OG at that point.

I love cardamom. It is one of my favorite notes in fragrances, however I do not like them in fresh fragrances. It tends to make the fresh smell a bit weird and sharp. With myslf l’absolu, I get a really sharp laundry detergent note which probably is that cardamom note, while Hawas Thunder opens up much smoother without it. It is also a tad bit sweeter in the dry down, which IMO makes it more mass appealing but tbh with this DNA I don’t think it’s a game changer since the DNA is very mass appealing. Longevity is on par with the OG and I got it for 45 euros, which is roughly 1/4th of the price. Honestly while clones like this exist, it really is a no brainer when it comes to choosing the dupe over the OG. If the OG was a little bit cheaper I probably would have gone with it, but I’m glad I chose this fragrance. Rasasi almost (almost) never dissapoint. I think they should be calming down on the Hawas releases tho since that signature sweet fresh marine note is not in any of the new releases. Just come up with new names and bottles is what I’d say, but since the name is so popular it’s east to understand why they go with the Hawas name. 8.5/10.

This is by far my favorite Hawas fragrance. Right off, the immediate opening smells a bit synthetic, but it settles swiftly. Thunder has a good balance of bergamot and orange blossom — neither too sweet nor too florally; matching the same balance of fruitiness to floralness the YSL MYSLF line has. I would say Thunder is closer to MYSLF EDP than L'Absolu, because it leans fresher and does not have that distinct, spicy-camphorous cardamom note I can pick up in L'Absolu. Thunder is basically bergamot-orange blossom-powdery-musky, just like MYSLF EDP but thicker — more powdery and musky. Performance is good, I get moderate, arms-length sillage for about 1.5-2 hours, as it settles closer. Lasts on my skin for roughly 10 hours. The deep drydown is a soft, sweet, ambery and musky base. Overall, I would say this is less fresh than MYSLF EDP but definitely still fresh, and is more versatile than both the EDP and L'Absolu. Safe for any season. Thunder is not as spicy as L'Absolu, yet has enough density and depth for dressed-up occasions. Honestly in the air, Thunder just "smells like a YSL". ✅Excellent

I vastly prefer Hawas Thunder compared to Nitro Elixir for clones of L'absolu mostly for the development of the sweetness within the blend of the florals. What I found was Nitro Elixir has the sweetness show up a little too early in the fragrance it peaks at a very distracting point in parallel with the florals which actually makes it slightly cloying to me which I didn't realize until I had tried the different interpretation that Hawas Thunder brings. Hawas Thunder sorta let's everything have its turn which was a huge help for my overall enjoyment even though I actually did like Nitro Elixir as well. You go from more of a citrus fresh to a soapy clean into a well blended sweet floral clean in the dry down with Thunder and that dry down is actually just so well done every time I get there I'm just thinking yeah alright that's really good. When the fragrance is just kinda undeniable like that and the performance is there to back it up I just can't help but recommend it.

I I’m not a bot, but I must say, this is an incredibly good everyday scent. You can wear it anywhere, and you’ll still smell amazing. I’m a big fan of YSL Myself DNA. It’s fresh, musky, and has a touch of sweetness that balances it perfectly. I haven’t had a chance to fully test it yet since I just bought it, but I can already say that it’s amazing. Do I like it? Absolutely. Would I wear it? Without a doubt. Is it worth the price? For $35, it absolutely is. How long does it last? About 7 hours on me. Is it safe to wear? Absolutely. In conclusion, you can’t go wrong with this fragrance. It’s an amazing inspiration of YSL Myself, and in my opinion, it smells better than some designers’ fragrances.

I may actually end up enjoying this more than the og l'absolu. This seems to have really turned down that cardamom note, which I find to be a bit hit or miss on whether or not I enjoy it in more fresh fragrances, and overall makes this more wearable and versatile than the og. I feel a good bit of the myslf edp essence in this, kinda bridging the gap between the edp and l'absolu, while definitely remaining pretty close to the l'absolu as a clone. Overall this ends up being a super versatile, anytime anywhere any weather version of the l'absolu. Longevity is fantastic as is projection. The og I tend to stay away from when it's super hot out, but this performs in the heat much more nicely.

A more youthful and sweeter take on the original YSL MYSLF L'Absolu. Very easy to wear, versatile and perfect as a daily driver for multiple occasions (maybe not for winter season). To my nose, the sweeter base makes it feel noticeably younger and more playful than the OG (probably younger than what my 42 years usually lean towards). Still, a very enjoyable modern fresh fragrance with excellent value for money. Safe blind buy? I would say 80%...

This is 🔥. It’s not a 1:1 clone, but it’s definitely in the same lane and gets VERY close. Fresh, sweet, aquatic, and attention-grabbing with great performance for the price. The dry down is smooth and masculine, and honestly, it punches way above its price point. If you like that DNA, this is absolutely worth adding to the collection. After a few sprays. Come back to it in about 1 week...It gets stronger with time.

Not 1:1 but very close, this has a soapy/shower gel kind of vibe on top of myslf absolu and I like the idea, but it is missing the cardamom sadly. It smells amazing and performance is above average, I get whiffs of it throughout the day for 6-7 hours, will update after it has matured for a couple weeks. Strongly recommend if you like sweet freshies that can be worn anytime and anywhere.

Potentially one of the best inspos of ysl myslf dna and i cant judge right now know close it is to l’absolu but in general this is one of the safest n most pleasing scent profiles on the market currently. I left it to macerate a bit, will check later. BtW can we plz stop posting Generals and Encyclopedia’s as reviews? Who read them? Take help from AI to summarize ur review!

i recently brought this i haven't smelled myslf L'absolu DNA here. more on SWYI? i Guess...... I'm from the philippines and it reminds me of Hamarias SWYI copycat thing. not recommended for acidic person to wear this perfume it will smell like vinegar or super citrusy DNA. Scent 8.5/10 Projection/Sillage/ Performance 8.2/10 Price 9/10

Simple scent - bergamot, mild ginger and spice, and sweet woods all balanced nicely. A really nice skin scent that lasts for many hours. As it dries, it reminds you of some similar scents but a bit fresher, more woody and less floral. My fave Hawas so far as it's easier to wear than the all the others for an old guy like me.

Have myslf labsolu in my collection and can confidently say that this is 85-90% close to the og.. pretty fn amazing for a $40 frag 👌 Rasasi's done it again 👍 Still testing it's performance though.. have high hopes since it's from the hawas line. Will full wear tomorrow and update this review

Reminds me of YSL Myself L'Absolu. Maybe a tad bitter sweeter in the dry down. The scent profile is really smooth, I don't get any sharp synthetic edges. Overall a fantastic one for the summer. After so many flops in the middle, finally a good one from Hawas.

Smell wise is amazing for me , I can say its 75% of Myself absolu however the performance as Hawas Line is disappointing it gave me 7-8 hrs longevity with a projection of 1.5-2 hrs max . After 2 months of usage + I really think its seductive and masculine

I like this so far. Off the top I don’t smell much apple yet but maybe once it sits. This smells a little spicier than Myself and Nitro Elixir. But it’s a little unique in a way so I don’t think it’s a 1 to 1.

Super good designer ish smell, not 1 to 1 but I rate it as her own,this is very good summer scent. Fresh citrus floral,that gives you energized. 10/10 for me

This is okay I guess. Smells very soapy off the rip. I definitely prefer nitro elixir more than this.
