La Yuqawam Homme

Revised 1/21/25: WOW!!! I've done a complete 180 on this! If you don't like this fragrance at first, LET IT MACERATE! It will COMPLETELY change it's character. This perfume was original VERY harsh, dry, chemically, and ozonic on the opening. After 15-20 sprays and 3-4 weeks it has COMPLETELY changed. It actually smells like leather, and a believable raspberry note. This has gone from being absolutely disgusting to me and nearly ended up in the garbage, to now being one of my favorite scents. Again, if you buy this, give it 10-15 sprays then LET IT SIT FOR A WHILE! It will massively improve! Revised review 1/14/25: Original review below. AMAZINGLY this stuff is starting to grow on me after initially HATING it. I also hate wasting money so despite not liking the smell, I was trying to find a way to use it by layering it to balance out some of my sweeter frags. Upon doing so, I started to "get it". I'd describe the leather scent as less of a warm western American saddle leather smell and more of a super concentrated high-end Italian briefcase leather. More Tuscany and less Arizona. Not surprising given what it's cloning. I'm also kinda starting to "get" the raspberry note. I'd say it's a pretty terrible raspberry, doesn't smell real at all, but I get it now, I guess. I still don't love it, but I hate it a little less. Let's give it another month or so and see how I feel. I'll update this review if anything changes....again. Original review 1/9/25: Imagine the smell of warm paper fresh out of an inkjet printer. Now multiply that by 10,000. That's what this stuff smells like. If "the new formula is watered down" as some reviews have stated, I can't imagine how strong the previous formula was. And it's DRY AF!!! This smells, very, very, very, very dry and sharp. Like imagine a very dry martini or white wine x 100,000, add some kind of chemical super powers, and you get whatever this is. Have you ever smelled the sharp, pure chemical lingering aftermath of one of those ozone generators used to kill odors and "organic substances" in a cheap hotel room? It kind of reminds me of that smell. I absolutely love raspberries....real raspberries. They're probably my favorite food period. And I absolutely love the smell of leather....even my cheapo leather car scent spray smells great to me. I own a ton of cheapo colognes, mostly knockoffs, some just bargain bin crap. Most of it is great, or at least acceptable. I'm by no means a scent slob. Hell I'd be happy with Old Spice or Irish Spring bar soap. But this stuff? No way! It's terrible. I guess you can say it smells clean, because it's like a chemical cleaner. And you gotta give credit for being strong. Like INSANELY strong. Two sprays of this stuff and it's all I can smell. I tried to layer it with a sweeter gourmand type thing to mellow out the dry harshness.....nope. This stuff is all I can smell. I could imagine how a tiny, tiny bit of this stuff layered might be able to mellow out a super sweet, marshmallow candy kind of scent because it's so insanely dry and flat....but the fake chemical harshness would ruin it. How does this get such amazing reviews??? Did I just get a bad bottle? Does it need to macerate for 10 years? Am I just some freak of nature like one of those "cilantro tastes like dirt/soap" people? If you're considering blind buying this, don't. Unless you're a huge fan of the fragrances listed as similar, just avoid this like the plague. In fact, plague probably smells better.

As we venture deeper to the middle, the heart is predominantly based around artemisia, which I can clearly identify due to its herbal attributes. Moving towards the base, a smooth blend of woody suede emerges, which, despite the earlier changes, still projects decently, when you might be thinking it's the end, defying expectations of a swift fade. In terms of projection, it doesn’t quite live up to the 'beast' level that some claim. It's super strong at first and despite the complex metamorphosis, quickly dies down compared to how loud it was in the beginning. It still projects, but not as much, gracefully becoming a subtle, intimate presence. The longevity, however, is impressively transforming without losing its narrative thread. Reliable and steadfast through each phase of the fragrance's evolution, remaining consistent and engaging through each evolutionary phase. I can’t stop thinking about a comment I read which said, 'it smells like those rubber Halloween masks'. I spent a few hours sniffing it on and off my body to write this (just like any other review). After reading that comment, I had a huge nostalgia flashback for about 2 seconds, remembering when I wore such a mask at around 7 or 8 years old. When I freshly sprayed the fragrance again, especially the opening for the first 10 minutes, it smelled PRECISELY like those masks. It’s amazing what subtleties you can catch; congrats, man. A perfect nose. You found the hidden funky rubber scent. Nonetheless, this doesn’t change my opinion about the fragrance; I still think it's great. I love these kinds of quirks in fragrances. Far from altering my perception, they only deepen my appreciation for each fragrance's unique character. This is a very classy men’s fragrance. If you want to try something similar with a combination of raspberry and leather, I’d recommend Italian Leather by Just Jack. It is and smells slightly cheaper than La Yuqawam but it's still spot on. While slightly less opulent, it echoes the same refined blend of fruity suede. By the way, finding out about the Halloween mask smell gave me the same uncanny eerie feeling as when I found out that the Boney M. singer isn't the black dancer but an older German guy, and the black dancer can’t really sing at all. Or when I heard the burglar's warning music in The Sims 1 for the first time ever in my life, exploding from my speakers. As has been mentioned over and over this smells like Tuscan Leather. The differences are slightly noticeable but as scents vary depending on skin chemistry i'd be shocked to find someone who will smell this on a person and not think it was Tuscan Leather. I did a side by side and the differences are so slight it amazed me. Another Middle Eastern Frag with quality ingredients making a Niche scent from a western brand seem unnecessary. This scent lasts on my skin at least 9 hours and on my clothes double that plus. The sillage was strong for the first 3 hours before settling down to a still very noticeable scent cloud for another 3 hours. After this it became more close to the skin but hardly dead. I smelled it on myself without trying 9 hours into 5 initial sprays. LY has a very nice raspberry note which lasts longer than the same note in TL. This makes LY more wearable as a result. I receive a TON on compliments when i wear this out. I've heard this a few time also..."Tuscan Leather, Right?"...I just laugh in my head and say in response, "Nice Guess"...lmao...A women in a bar actually said I smelled like Cocaine...I've heard people, including the rapper Drake, make that same comment about TL. Go figure...La Yuqawam is one of the best alternatives to a niche scent ever made under $75. If TL and LY were both made by Creed, TL would be Batch# blah blah and La Yuqawam would be Batch# blah blah blah. 9/10 YouTube Channel- Simply Put Scents

This fragrance is quite a paradox for me. I blind bought it last year basically due to mostly (so not all) positive reviews, not influencers review, which I always never trust, but reviews in forum, including here. Upon receiving it, and tested it for 3-4 times, including 2 weeks after I received it to let "maceration" or "maturation" or "aging" or "compensating shipping shock" (whatever you prefer the terms, but basically I am more to the latter term), I was directly disappointed. I feel it was off balance, like the raspberry and leather notes, which basically the fragrance's most dominant notes are like fighting to each other, like they are competing. Also the leather note was kinda harsh. I could not understand the high praise. Maybe as it is also newer batch (2024), I assumed I got bad luck getting not a good batch, as I read the newer batch is not that great. Therefore, I put this fragrance back in the box as I believe longer "aging" wont help as it was already 1 years old frag when I received it. Long story short, after like 6 months, I revisit my La Yuqawam box when I reorganized my cabinet, and sprayed it. Wow... I find now the balance is there. Raspberry and leather notes got smoother. It is not super-smooth like 300 € + frag (it is 40+ € fragrance guys, so we need to adjust the expectation), but now I can say it delivers more than it's price. Now it becomes one of my rotations. 40+ € spent is justified now.

This is a great complex scent with a wonderful leather opening and dries down to a raspberry sweetness. It keeps a dusty leather aroma for the duration like the inside of a raw leather belt. The sweetness becomes more prominent turning into an incense fragrance with wisps of sweet smoke after several hours. The projection and sillage are outstanding throughout the day so use sparingly depending on the occasion. You will smell this on your skin and clothing the next day and it will even have a slight to moderate projection. Its comparison to Tom Fords Tuscan Leather is spot on though TL is a bit smoother in its opening and dry down. TL has a raspberry that is very reminiscent of the fruit where this is more reminiscent of a raspberry candy or candle. La Yuqawam will have a bit of a synthetic underlying aroma close to pencil shavings or a light Play-doh, not terrible and its only really present when the brain starts to dissect the distinct notes subconsciously. The overall performance is excellent the fragrance is great and the value is fantastic. You get well above what you pay for with this fragrance. The presentation is unquestionably the best and some of the larger most expensive houses should take notice. In summation, La Yuqawam is a masculine leather scent that mellows to a dusky dusty raspberry and incense. Its a great performer with excellent presentation. 9/10

I am about to say something blasphemous: I like this much more than Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. These fragrances could easily be confused by your average person, and imo LY to be could easily compete with TL. I find this has more dimension, complexity and the notes are a better balance, leading to a smoother product. I adore TL, but it is much heavier on the leather, which almost gives it a chemical, synthetic feel at first. You don't have to search for the other notes in La Yuqawam, like you do in TL. In LY the juicy raspberries, sultry saffron, masculine woods all have a strong presence to seduce the strong leather, suede into balanced perfection. This starts out as a fresh burst of rich red raspberries and smokey leather. As this dries down, the woods and saffron become more noticeable, but the leather, suede and raspberry still remain present and strong. For me this was a blind buy, and it paid off. I no longer have any desire to get a full-size bottle of TL. If you like TL, but want a smoother, more rounded fragrance and don't want to fall behind on rent, then go for LY. This comes in a beautiful wooden box with copper-colored metallic accents. The bottle itself is a thick, rich Amber glass with an engraved wooden cap. The whole presentation is luxurious and extravagant like the city where it comes from, Dubai.

La Yuqawam Pour Homme is an experience, not just a fragrance. The moment I sprayed it, I was enveloped in a luxurious, velvety aura of smoky leather and ripe raspberries. The opening is bold, with a perfect balance of fruity sweetness and deep, resinous warmth. It’s as if the leather and raspberry are in a passionate dance, neither overpowering the other. As it settles, the suede-like texture becomes more prominent, softened by a woody base of oud and amber. The smoke lingers, but it’s refined, never harsh. It feels opulent, like stepping into an exclusive lounge filled with antique leather chairs and glowing amber lights. What surprised me most was its evolution on my skin. Over time, the sweetness fades, revealing a more masculine, smoky depth. Yet, it retains a sensual quality that feels timeless and inviting. This isn’t just a “bold” fragrance: t’s suave, confident, and unforgettable. Longevity is solid; it lasts well above 6 hours and projects beautifully without being overpowering. I’ve received compliments hours after applying it, which speaks volumes about its quality. For me, La Yuqawam Pour Homme is a masterpiece, a true signature scent for colder months or special occasions. It’s more than worth the hype.

If there was such a thing as BLACK FOREST LEATHER.... In the first couple of minutes I can feel the raspberry and already the leather-oud is swelling through. As the sillage opens up the raspberry gets juicier and punctuated with saffron and faint thyme. Transitioning to the heart, the raspberry-leather deepens, taking on some smoky, musky & animalic notes. This all rests on a leather-suede base built from oud-ambroxan with some amber-woody touches. This is a dupe of Tuscan Leather Tom Ford with good approximation and excellent performance. It's targeted to men but I find it unisex, although last year I gave this in a group of fragrances to my nephew and he ended up giving it back because he thought it was too feminine with the raspberry. I was so happy to get it back because the raspberry has gotten more intense as the bottle has aged, but after the first hour it's softer and the leather-y oud-incense notes come on strong. As a kid I had a dark leather pair of shoes that my uncle called "ox-blood leather", but in my imagination for naming leathers, this is like the black forest cake of leather (although there's leather instead of chocolate, it's there in my imagination). It's a total love for me. Enjoy!

So, this is another review after recently wearing this. I've had this fragrance for a couple of years now. It's the best leather fragrance I have in my collection (I love Bentley for Men Intense's leather as well). I do not have Tuscan Leather nor Ombre Leather, but I have worn both on several occasions through samples though. LY smells like a mix of them, to my nose. The raspberry is very pronounced, but starts to gradually die down in the mid. The leather is obviously the star of the show...it's a luxury car leather that's been in the heat some in the fall around noonish, incredible! On my skin, it lasts until I shower...on clothes, until the next wash. It projects extremely well for the first 2 to 3 hours, then arms length the rest of the way...again, on my skin, which holds fragrances well. Definitely watch the sprays, 6 is plenty for me. Rasasi is probably one of my favorite houses when it comes to price to quality. This fragrance in particular blunts any urges to buy Tuscan Leather or Ombre Leather. I love leather scents and this one is perfect for me. Projection: 10 Silage: 10 Longevity: 10 Scent: 10 Price: 10 Overall: 10

La Yuqawam is, to my nose, clearly in the slipstream of Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather and Ombré Leather. Anyone familiar with those fragrances will immediately recognize the general direction: leather takes center stage, supported by a fruity twist. The leather note is prominent and convincing, yet not harsh or aggressive. The much-talked-about raspberry note is indeed present. While raspberries themselves don’t usually smell very strong to me, there is a subtle fruity sweetness here that softens the leather nicely. The result is an approachable leather fragrance with a gentle sweet nuance. This is not a scent I would wear every single day — not because it’s bad, but because it could become repetitive over time, as many distinctive fragrances do. That said, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent, and the cost would certainly justify more frequent or even daily use. In summary: a well-executed, warm leather fragrance with a soft fruity undertone. It's a solid and pleasant choice for fans of the Tuscan/Ombré Leather DNA.

Bless me father for I have sinned. I've been pretending I wasn't a perfume snob, but it seems I am...or was. I knew big brands might overcharge but I thought it was justified. The artistry and creation certainly justifies prices, but don't brands use better ingredients? Apparently not. The key is: I really thought the smell was superior in Tom Ford and other big brands! Even when comparing brands side-by-side to clones, I'd persuade myself the brands smelt superior. I was wrong. This Rasasi is better, smoother and sexier than Tom Ford's TL - and TL was my signature for years! Gone is the acrid opening than I persuaded myself was cool, cocaine-like, manly and intense. More raspberry, more suede, more saffron, more balance! In fact, it smells better at the opening and more similar throughout the progression. That's a very good thing. I've come to a similar realisation with Aventus and CDNIM(P), which isn't necessarily better but it's soooo similar I don't care.) I'm so glad I'll be saving money. 🙌🏻😊

I blind bought a bottle 1 month ago. Out of the box, smells like pure bitter rubber and gasoline with maybe 1% raspberry. It reminds me of a mechanic shop which is really bad for a fragrance. I thought i was scammed, was very disappointed for blind buying. I didnt get the hype, i thought to myself if TF Tuscan Leather smells like this maybe my nose is just isnt built for high end/niche fragrances. But just like with my Khamrah bottle, I kept it hoping maturation will settle the bottle. And just like with my khamrah, my La Yuqawam became a real fragrance after 1 month of being patient. In the opening the rubber note is toned down, minimal gasoline note, raspberry became much more prominent you can actually smell it now. The drydown reminds me of dollar bills left inside a car with leather seat that smells like raspberry. It smells so beautiful, and now i get the hype for TF Tuscan Leather. 8/10

My very honest verdict on La yuqawam: If I want to explain this perfume in 3 words its Raspberry-Leather-Beast The perfume has exceptional longevity on clothes , I am not kidding I sprayed this on my shirt , and the scent was still there after 2-3 days. On skin however this is still a good long lasting scent. I smelled Tuscan leather and this side to side. Tuscan leather has more heavier leather notes. La yuqawam has that similar feel, but the leather is lighter . However the Raspberry note is very prominent in La yuqawam than the Tuscan Leather. For this price point its an absolute steal deal. Basically in short, even though La yuqawam is a linear scent , but it smells like the best part of Tuscan Leather with a beast mode longevity. For me : Scent - 9/10 ( not blind buy safe) Sillage - 9/10 Longevity- 10/10 Easily one of my most reached out scents for office though.

I'm usually not a huge fan of clones and prefer to only buy the originals. But tuscan leather is in my opinion too expensive for what it offers so I decided to buy the clone instead. This gets surprisingly close to the tuscan leather DNA, but it's more on the smoke / raspberry instead of the leather in my opinion. Tuscan leather is of course, more higher quality with a more textured leather, while this has a more prominent raspberry and smoky aspect. I think for the price, this is amazing. For me, a leather fragrance is something I can only wear occasionally and I didn't want to spend too much money on it, so this was a good purchase. I cannot comment on longevity since I just got it, but I will let it macerate and update my review eventually. Also just worth mentioning, if you do not like smoky fragrances or leather fragrances, you won't like this one.

As someone who's been into fragrances and perfume for more than 15 years and over half my life at this point -- La Yuqawam will always have a special place in my heart. In the early days of fragrance youtube, this was hailed as one of the first Arabic 'clones' that was better, stronger and longer lasting than the original. I blind bought it on a whim, and I'm glad i did. Smelling the scent today, over 10 years later, it proves the timelessness of La Yuqawam, it really stood the test of time and smells as good today as it did at its initial release. The balance of the sweet raspberry and the leather is separated by an earthy and aromatic thyme note. This and the artemesia provides a perfect bridge between fruity, aromatic and animalic and tie the notes together so well. I understand it's not meant for everyone -- but it's definitely for me.

This is one of the best leather fragrance! Since I don't have & never tried Tuscan Leather, I can't compare em both. But the leathery part has a same style as in TF Ombre Leather, smooth leather with animalic touch. The performance is a bit disappointing, has a good longevity but moderate projection. Mine is from Sept 2023 so yeah I guess maceration/maturation/whatever that be would help. Update (5-21-2025) It has been 2 months so here's the thing, the performance is definitely getting better, more projection & better longevity but still not a beast mode fragrance. The raspberry on the opening is stronger & sweeter while the leather is a bit softer which I wish it was the opposite. But anyway I still like this one, it is a good alternative if PdM Godolphin or Montale Aoud Leather still too pricey for you.

Massive decline compared to previous years. A watery, alcoholic and weak perfume! I had two bottles in the last 4-5 years and they were sensational for the price paid. In 2023 I bought it again and thought it was a fake. Another box and unfortunately a different perfume compared to what I had before. A few months later I bought it again from another store. The same cardboard box, the same watery, alcoholic and weak perfume! Yes, the last few years have been some difficult financial years. I understand that you cannot sell a perfume at the same price, but I prefer honesty! I'd rather you tell me that the perfume is more expensive than try to trick me with a very poor quality product! I was planning to buy something for spring or summer from Rasasi, but now I can no longer trust them.

I must confess that I am truly delighted with my decision to delve into La Yuqawam pour Homme. It's an incredibly intriguing, masculine fragrance that boasts exceptional craftsmanship. What sets it apart is its dynamic nature; it continuously evolves and transforms on the skin, periodically revealing new, previously unexplored facets. While it might share some similarities with other fragrances, particularly Tuscan Leather, it manages to sidestep mere imitation, resulting in genuinely captivating and oriental perfumery. Thanks to this experience, I'm now eager to explore the other fragrances in the series, including La Yuqawam pour Femme and La Yuqawam Tobacco Blaze, which were previously mentioned. The reasonable price only adds to its appeal. My rating: Highly recommended! (7/7)

Went through a full bottle of this. My most worn fragrance of 2023. I never get compliments on fragrances and don't really care for them but I got told I smell good by my closest friend and a stranger told me I stink. Sweet raspberries mixed with a slight bitter smell, leather, suede, low hints of gasoline and it remains this way but gets really woody at the dry down. On skin this lasts all day and I've had times where it lasts until the next day on skin and still survives the shower so you get a faint smell but still there.. on clothing it's a different story 24+ hours easy also I've had sweaters last up to weeks sitting in the closet no joke. This is definitely a powerful fragrance that will captivate peoples mind in a good way or a bad way so beware. Solid 9 for me.

#1702 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Hands down the most accurate and high quality Tom Ford "Tuscan Leather" clone on the market ,without the obvious and easily detected cheap synthetics Maison Alhambra, Afnan, Fragrance World, Orientica and other dupe makers use in their attempts to duplicate what is for my money the best leather scent ever. And it is almost impossible to distinguish between Tuscan Leather and this copy. Long lasting, strong projecting, warm weather wear, anywhere you’d use Tuscan Leather you can wear this. and it is ridiculously inexpensive. This bottle cost me $29 compared to the Tom Ford sticker price of $272. You absolutely should own this if you own nothing else the Emirates produce. Good Luck and Good Hunting!
