Maa Arwaak

I wish I knew why this wasn't more popular. It is super inexpensive yet high quality. I know that since Lattafa has blown up a lot of people are wary of Middle Eastern fragrances that have been rapidly churned out in order to create hype or duplicate a popular scent, but I don't think Maa Arwaak was created explicitly for either purpose. On my skin, it lasts at least 6 hours in mild weather, 4ish in hot weather, and it lasts on clothes until I wash them. The scent is a little earthy, a little tart, a little fruity, all wrapped around a base of floral notes. I don't think anything dominates in terms of the notes, but instead everything is very balanced and well blended. For a scent that hovers around $20 I think that the quality is stupendous. The bottle is also very, very pretty, and I feel like the notes listed here are pretty true. To my nose it doesn't smell cheap or synthetic, but again just balanced, sultry, sophisticated, and pretty. If you're a fan of oriental florals, cocoa scents, or just looking for something that smells nice but isn't the run-of-the-mill mall scent, grab this. Maa Arwaak is somewhat unique in a super saturated market, and for the price you cannot beat it.

I have always loved cranberry as my holiday scent. So I thought maybe I would like cranberry in a perfume. I went searching for an affordable cranberry fragrance. I chose this bc the note structure seemed like it would result in a beautiful fragrance. I have had since late August in the cold, dark closet. I have tested several times, enough to put a good dent in my lil 50mil bottle. This is a lovely scent profile, the cranberry is fresh but contrasted by the cacao & vanilla. It becomes warm during its journey. It will project for about 2 hrs, then it goes intimate. This is not loud, but it is soft, warm, and comfy. Honestly I wish it was a lil louder, but bc it is s so pretty, I don’t care. The deep dry down leaves a fresh, lil soapy skin scent. It just leaves me wanting more. I hope it gets a lil stronger as it sits. My juice has gotten darker, so Cranberry + Christmas would be nice. This is a lovely fragrance and I could see me repurchasing bc this lil bottle won’t last me long with the use I am giving it. 9/10

Very underrated Arabic oriental perfume. For 10$ for 50ml you can't go wrong! If this was from a french designer brand, it could sell for 50$+ easily.

Received it as a gift from a friend who just came from Umra, along with another perfume "Creation" from Rasasi, but not in the DB. I agree with "Emi", while ما أروعك which means "How splendid you are" smells like Black XS , I find it more similar to Black XS l'Exces... Only milder, more spicy and less bubblegum-ish... Don't get the comparison to LVEB...

Soft, Floral CRANBERRY CHOCO-CHOULI. This is a dupe of Black XS for Women Paco Rabanne with good approximation and average longevity & soft projection. Opens with a burst of sparkly cranberry patchouli that sweetens onto a cacao & rose heart resting on a massoia wood & patchouli base. Overall I get a softly floral cranberry-choco-chouli. The chocolate here reminds me of smarties & milk-chocolate. There is also a note in here that I would guess to be cashmeran that's more noticeable on the skin than in the air. Contrast to Black XS for Women Paco Rabanne: This is a dupe, and the chocolate here is dark, cacao-floral/coffee-blossom but the only difference I can detect side by side with Black XS for Women is a faint cashmeran note on the skin. This one takes a little longer to start projecting as it's oilier than Black XS but once it does it's hard to tell them apart in the air. Roughly equivalent performance. Contrast to La Vie Est Belle Lancôme: These are different, but I can understand why they've been compared as there are similarities with a sticky sweet & fruity patchouli scent. However, LVEB has beast mode performance and if you like LVEB it doesn't mean you would like this. Overall: affordable dupe of Black XS for Women with soft performance that improves with dark storage for a few weeks/months after first sprays. This beauty will have a nostalgic vibe for many noses. Fans of Black XS and those not sensitive to cashmeran might like this. Enjoy!
