Oudh Al Raghda

Love. For it's beautiful warm sheep-skin rug scent at the base, At first it is bright white floral meadow, that quickly gets absorbed by more sensual and animalic notes. Very good quality of oil, in fact, remarkable quality for such little money, might be not for megapolis-inhabitants, who don't used to cow's dung and the smell of sheep on the fields. To me it is just comfortable aromas of Mother Earth as it is. Anyway, it smells natural and refined, no matter which notes your skin will reveal the most. Truly similar with Cabotine.

This is the Oudh your Mum warned you about. The opening is straight up fecal and barnyard. Not to be taken lightly at all. A very thick smell, warm and cosy. Probably has a bit of an old lady vibe but can be pulled off by those 30 plus I reckon. Very much a certain type of persons scent. Not a safe blind buy unless you know your oud. Not one for new comers to the oud game. I can see this working all year round and it will smell completely different depending on the season. Very complex oil.

Despite the ambergris and oud this comes off as light and creamy on me. I'm picking up the tuberose but nothing citrus or fruity like the tangerine or blackcurrant. Some fresh soapiness when the notes might lead you to believe it could be more skanky and heavy. I'll be using mine outdoors during the warmer evenings. Unisex but not overly feminine. Really pleased with this one.

Read Planet_X's review because it is 100% SPOT ON!! This goes on strong and herbal and dries down to something resembling a hot sweaty horse after it has been running for a while. Strangely, I can almost smell leather, although I doubt there is a leather note in this. I can smell the aroma of farms and fields as the sun starts to descend over the hills and the waft of animal sweat travels in the light breeze. This perfume oil is an acquired taste to say the least and is strangely complicated in an almost good way. I have never experienced such a perfume as this and am fairly astonished at it's sheer complexity. For me personally, this is unwearable, however I believe that on certain body chemistry, this could be a sheer masterpiece, but alas, not on me.

This is an update on my review for this perfume. I recently tried this in the heat of the summer and was astounded at how utterly glorious this actually is! All that farmyard animal smell has gone, in order to make way for some green summer florals and a good bit of skank. I can smell the faint remnants of warm sheepskin but in a good way. I have done a complete turn around with this perfume and would recommend trying it in the warm weather where it will weald to a good increase of body temperature. Superb fragrance with great character and uniqueness.

After ordering this oil I thought I made a huge mistake. I don't like Ambergris, I thought it would be all white flowers and nothing else. I was mistaken! This is a musky oil with wood, a gentle ambergris enveloped in ginger and spice. Very unisex leaning on masculine but I never had problem with the that. Very aromatic, decent sillage and long life especially on fabric. Ideal for cold weather though it has a nice feel of freshness to it yet the strong ginger and cardamom make it an ideal winter warmer. What I absolutely like is the wonderful balance of notes, all well blended and spicy. Smells expensive abd sophisticated. This is a great addition to anyone's wardrobe, especially if one loves woody florientals. Thumbs up Rasasi! UPDATE This reminds me a lot of Miller et Bertaux minus the smoke and lentisque. Also the dryness has a Sahara by Tom Ford vibe, they are not identical, but the spicy, herbal, aromatic quality are quite similar.

Ten minute ago I put one small drop of it on my hand. It started like a strong floral scent, very feminine. Now it's loosing its intensity, but it is still much floral. No green notes on my skin. It smell like a floral lipstick. Are you sure it is an unisex fragrance?
