Royale

This is an aromatic, lavender, fresh spicy bomb. I definitely pick up some green undertones as well, and there’s practically no sweetness to the overall scent profile. Definitely reminiscent of fragrances from days of the past. Smells like the shaving cream you’d find in your dad’s medicine cabinet. I absolutely agree with everyone commenting below saying that it smells like an old school soap. Very nostalgic in a way, but a lot of people will enjoy that, me being one of them. It’s also highly masculine and totally contrary to the endless vanillic/tonka bean releases that have flooded the market in recent years. Performance is very solid and a few sprays should carry you through most of the day. Not going to be a scent profile that suits everyone (especially people under 35), but if you appreciate the old school fragrances then it’ll be right up your alley. Btw, the people complaining about the synthetic nature of the scent need to remember that it’s literally an $18 fragrance.

Rasasi's interpretation of Drakkar Noir. Classic men's lavender and wood scent. So, what do I get out of this fragance: Classy, mature scent that doesn't come off old or dated. It has this gorgeous powerful lavender and patchouli base, and develops into a more dark woodsy scent. You can even wear this even if you haven't passed the age of 50. It has this self secure feel to it. It could be called Drakkar noir intense, because that is what I think. Compared to the real Drakkar noir, I prefer this. I simply fell in love with this from the first moment I sniffed the a tester in a local Somali food store. I have had 2 bottles of this but my father in law fell in love with the juice, so I had to hand him my first bottle. Had a hard time finding a second bottle and I searched for over half a year, but eventually the same Somali food store restocked this. Overall a great frag, for the lavender lover, so I give it a 8/10.

This was one of my first olfactory loves :-). I had a bottle of it 10 years ago. Very soon after started using it regularly to the office, i realised that i was not alone who liked it. The office secretary where i worked in those days used to appreciated it so much that once she requested me to get a bottle for her. And, despite my warning that it's for men, she gladly accepted it and later, gifted it to her husband! The perfume is enormous in sillage and lasts for at least 7-8 hours. It has an uplifting opening and doesn't change much through the drydown. And, just like other Rasasi perfumes, it's cheaper on the wallet.

After a lot of rain today is bright and cloudy there's Snow and in the top of the mountains and after a long time today i wore this again and this smell makes so happy that I can't describe today is one of the best day of my life for no reason this fragrance gives me a feeling that no perfume have ever did that's why i love this so much and if i have to choose one perfume for rest of my life I would definitely choose this

My first fragrance was this one and after tried so many fragrance I still love this one it's One of my best fragrance I've ever tried it's a lavender bomb if you love lavender like me this one is for you

Underrated..hidden gem indeeeed. Best daily summer use perfume...notes explode with increasing heat.

My review is based on my vintage bottle from 2003. This is a beast mode fragrance. It projects crazy for many hours and you can pick it up after a day on clothes. It's aromatic and warm. Very nice for colder days. Mostly voted for a warmer weather fragrance here but my bottle I will choke myself an others if I use it in warmer weather. I still can't apply small enough so it doesn't roar on me. This is the exact opposite of many today's fragrances that you have to shower with to get a few hours projection and longevity. Every single listed note is identifiable in it but lavender in mine is more like a supporting note. Cinnamon is more of a warm spicy type than being very cinnamony. Overall, I really like it and I hope I can keep my bottle for many years to come.

I bought this for $8.70usd/$12sgd from Mustafa 2 weeks back. 06/2022 production date. Initial test on tester points me to old school DN. I smelled synthetics but I thought let's try it for such a price. Wore it today, 4 sprays both wrist and inner arm. The Projection is very strong even after an hour. Silage too. My friend can smell me some distance away. But despite it smelling like DN it's too synthetic for me, it doesn't have anything natural smelling it seems, perhaps 4 sprays are too much, even with a mask on its pretty overwhelming. I hope the person next to me is alright. I think I'll give it away. Coincidentally I got a bot of lomani pour homme at even cheaper, perhaps that bot would be more fun wearing

smells okay, its been one week im using, average perfume for the price..its either not lasting on my skin or might be something wrong with my nose,not real compliment getter. Update review! My bottle is about to finish, got 3 compliments today. But unfortunately I'm not really in love with, amazing to get compliments after 8 hours. Just wow perfume compare to price and performance.

I understand the comparison to drakkar noir but It's actually better It's like the classic Lacoste for men mixed with a little oud Almost like the common Gillette body spray with some darkness eventually. The blue is even cheaper at 30 AED Not bad for $10. Correction, it's great for $10

This fragrance was definitely inspired by Drakkar Noir. The lasting power of Royale is much better than today’s Drakkar. I did a side by side comparison of the two their similar with slight differences but it’s safe to say that Royale beats out Drakkar in the performance department.

If you want to smell like an old school shaving cream all day, there you go! I do not get cinnomon or any fruity aspect of it. It is a lavender bomb, very green and soapy. The performance is above average. I only used it twice for test purposes and each time I got around 8-9 hours longevity, at least 3 hours of strong projection. It was only 14 dollars at a local thrift store so I couldn’t pass but I will give away this bottle to someone older in my family, definetly not for me!

This fragrance is no way young! Its totally for the more mature people imo Well this is as synthetic as it goes (really wat more do u expect for that price tag?), talking about notes its dominated by something meant to be lavender and there I can smell some cinnamon too, this is just not my type of scent, too sharp, soapy and linear although being quite popular where I live, still I find it very off-putting Thumbs down from me Rasasi, its a synthetic mess Scent: 5/10

Bloody hell this belongs in a bio weapons lab. This hit my skin like the coke head cousin who turns up at a wedding, thinks they are God's gift and wants to fight the groom, the best man and the father of the bride! I can't believe that ambroxan isn't mentioned in the notes as to me this smells like cat pee mixed with ambroxan and lavatory cleaner. Would be a scrubber but I don't think I have anything strong enough to eradicate this abomination. If you wore this in summer you would most likely offend everyone in a 25 mile radius. it smells like a herbal soap bar that is very powdery, and it last 12+ hours if you over spray and sillage is amazing

2015-2017 bottle. I tried this on myself, powerful opening. The lavender comes through along with the geranium and cedar. Then it softens and does it last. I got 10 hrs longevity. My nose was desensitized to it after about 3 hrs. It's strong, and the silliage is very good also! For $23 dollars, it's a steal!!! BTW, this is about as close to Drakar Noir Vintage as you're going to get! I did do a comparison, including the Belcam version of Drakar at Walmart. The Belcam is a nice try of a clone, but it is a skin scent within 15 minutes. The Drakar Noir on sale today is good, but it's nowhere to near what it used to be. So sad! This Royale Rasasi is it! It's a very nice, lemon balm, lavender, pepperish scent with fruity florals. Very nice. So, if you want the original Drakar Noir, this is it! Update--- I ordered and have a 2018 bottle. IFRA also regulates these European fragrances. There IS a diminished strength in this scent. I noticed it immediately! There is a diminished longevity by half. My guess is that the scents strength are being regulated to LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD. That's my guess!

When sprayed it's citrusy, something green (grassy) that begins to overcome over the citrus from the start, a bit sour (but still sweet aswell) like when you crunch a grape leaf. After 5-10m the scent changes to some unpleasant smell (for my nose) which reminds me some lavender cat-litter with a lot of green woody accords. After another 10-15m the odour is completely gone and its a clean aquatic spicy mostly seasalt smelling scent (like the seacret soaps). For 6+ hours it keeps its projection 50cm+. Later on (after 5-8-10h) it becomes a 20-30cm radiation, and as it settles towards being a skin scent the waves of aquatic and spiciness keep changing. For me it's spiciness is a bit heavy at this state for office use, but for outdoor spring/summer use it will be great. My brothers' opinion that this smells like old spice whitewater after shave. On clothes it keeps a 10cm projection for more than 24h.

I've enjoyed Rasasi fragrances so far, so at the price I got this, I was very willing to take a chance on it. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a miss rather than a hit. A fairly strong Lavender opening that dries down very rapidly with little or no change and then sits fairly close to the skin without any obvious sillage. A fairly modern spicy scent and I would say suits the younger person more than the more mature individual. I'll certainly finish off the flacon as a daily "splash on" but I'll stick to Rasasi's more "mature" offerings as an evening wear option. Maybe worth a 6 out of 10, no more.

This one really reminds me of the old Caesar's man cologne. A little spicy, but very warm and subtle. It draws compliments every time I wear it, so I keep it in my collection. At least for me, this one is a nice find. More of an everyday cologne than anything else. I also have Dakar, and it smells just like that, almost identical. You can wear them both at the same time and can't distinguish any difference between them. Longevity is all day for me, and the silage is about arms length.

YES PLEASE. As a kid we had stripy shield soap and the green Palmolive one (I think) and this is absolute nostalgia for me. Brighter. not as harsh and longer lasting than Drakkar. Has a herbal shampoo element which while isn't gourmand makes me salivate. I thought Sung homme was the king of soap but I like this more, it also is missing that weird spice drydown of Sung. Smells more expensive than the pittance it costs, definitely one to try for fougerre lovers.

As a fan of 80s powerhouses I have to say this is surprisingly good. As many have stated this is extremely similar to vintage Drakkar Noir and it performs very well. I really gotta laugh at the fragrance "gurus" on here who like to throw around the word synthetic. The majority of the fragrances we wear are mostly synthetic. For what you pay I'd say if you're a fan of more masculine fragrances this is a no brainier. Easy with the atomiser with this one!

Drakkar noir vintage has never crossed my path yet but this here smells great! The 75ml bottle! contains a green juice that smells, well, green and spicy masculine, an old school barber-shoppy scent. If performance were just slightly better (8 hours if you REALLY try and find the ghost of a skin scent) this would make my top 3. Anyways an awesome men's cologne. Mark

Possibly in the top 5 strongest frags I’ve ever used. Honestly this is in the same bracket as joop and black orchid for sheer potency. Even in freezing cold weather this is really strong on me. Well, if anyone fancies something very similar to drakkar but with loads more potency then this is one to consider and it’s very affordable too.

Clean, fresh, soapy, fresh laundry, straight out the shower kinda scent. Really good for daily use and places like the gym. Definitely always gonna have a bottle of this in my collection.

Manly and charming! Scent can lift your personality higher.It's a good perfume for men who live by honor and respect. Energetic fresgness gives a full day mental satisfiction. I enjoy it.

Clone of Drakkar noir....absolutely no....its way too herbal, synthetic and soapy. Fan of this fragrance...well no maybe slight liking in near future. Rating 6/10

Bought it about 7 Dollars and in this pricr the perfume is highly appreciated.
