Shuhrah Elixir

Just got this from the Intense Oud store on eBay for $45. I expect the price will come down in the future but I am not willing to wait, original Shuhrah is one of my favorite fragrances after 20 years in the fragrance game. 1st thing - the bottle. In person it is darker than in the picture. It's a deep blue like Interlude Man. The cap fits tighter than my original Shuhrah and the gold on it looks much better than in the pictures. Overall just an extremely classy bottle that looks better than the OG. Glad to see no fake colorants listed in the ingredients, too. Now to the fragrance. I just sprayed 10 mins ago so it is hard to say too much but this opening is incredible. Living nowhere near a big city I've never sampled Tygar or L'Immensite since doing so would mean paying for a sample and they don't sound like my kind of fragrance overall, but I do have a 5ml decant of Bharara Viking Dubai which is supposedly a Tygar dupe and there is a similarity here in the citrus opening. I've also smelled Hugo Reversed which supposedly has some Tygar connections and yes, these all share a certain chemical (the "Tygar chemical"), a certain bitter quality woven into the citrus accord. Shuhrah Elixir's opening is more pleasing than Viking to my nose. There is a candied lemon, and, although unlisted a lot of lime too. I get a sweetness that intermingling with the citrus evokes these lemon/lime/blue raspberry gummy creatures (they came in the shape of beetles, centipedes, spiders, etc) when I was a kid and it is not only such a nostalgic smell for me but just absolutely delicious too. And yet there is that Tygar-esque bite still in the background. This opening is a damn near perfect citrus accord. Sweet, nuanced and mutifaceted and delicious enough that it could work in a gourmand context but rich and deep enough that it - against the backdrop here in Shuhrah Elixir - instead comes off as incredibly classy. As I've been typing this in my phone, pausing every 30 seconds to stop and take in and evaluate the fragrance (the three sprays are totally enveloping) the opening is fading into something more floral and vaguely reminiscent of the original Shuhrah. A sort of smooth leather quality with florals dancing around. To be honest I was kind of scared to order this. I regard the original Shurah with an almost mythical reverence and I was so scared Rasasi might screw up a flanker. It was comforting that it's been 10 years since the release of the original, they aren't churning out Shuhrah flankers like they do with Hawas, so I was hoping they took their time to do something incredible. Still, I wasn't sure how you could hope to even match the original Shuhrah, much less top it. Of course, 30 minutes in on my first wearing and it's way too early to say this tops the original, but I can at least say the opening is absolutely gorgeous and lives up to the glory of the original, even if it is decidedly different. I'm so excited to see where this journey takes me. Another review to come!

Ok I've been wearing this non stop since I got it 5 days ago. I still feel like there's more to be discovered with this scent but figured I should provide an update for those who are on the fence about blind buying this. With the caveat that I've only smelled Tygar smell-alikes I do think the simplification of "Tygar opening then a more modern version of the original Shuhrah" works. But of course the reality is more nuanced than that. I've been comparing side by side with the original and in all stages Shuhrah Elixir is more angular. The original Shuhrah is comparatively softer, with that smooth leather/soapy texture from top to bottom. Elixir has some discernible ginger and quite a bit more cedar and while it never feels scratchy is does feel more edgy. More modern. There's also more fruit in Elixir. Truth is the original Shuhrah is fruitier than often described with nuances of peach, pineapple and black currant. Elixir maintains this but adds a noticeable lime, nuances of lemon and mango, and ups the black currant quite a bit. Behind this extra fruit is a sort of dusty ginger and an almost salty, driftwood-esque woody accord over top of the original Shuhrah. This adds that textural edge I mentioned and really sets Elixir apart from the original. I find the sillage and longevity confusing. Maybe it will change after a month or two but it seems like sillage is strong for about 1.5 to 2 hours and then becomes almost a skin scent. Longevity is very good but feels bad because after a couple hours it's hard to pick up the scent unless you really heat up and then you can feel the scent projecting again. It could very well be nose blindness but I asked my wife and she said it was quite weak after a couple hours. Hoping the projection somehow improves after the scent sits for a month or two. So in summation, a fruitier more modern and slightly edgier take on the original. Fruity and slightly spicy, salty floral soapy leather. I really enjoy it and it's a wonderful flanker in that you can definitely feel the original DNA and yet this is different enough that you'd feel compelled to wear it in different situations. For most this is probably easier to wear than the original due to that modernity, yet it does retain the layers of the original. A great, maybe perfect flanker, though I'm not ready to say that it actually bests the OG. Edit: still tobacco in this one but less tobacco smoke and more freshly opened pack of cigs. A very strong tobacco absolute note, almost as strong as in Bharara Viking Dubai. Delicious.

I've never smelled Tygar or even seen it outside of social media...that being said, I purchased the original Shuhrah and love it. It's different, but I could tell that it wasn't going to be for everyone. Luckily, my wife loves it too, and so when I saw there was an Elixir version, I gave it a go as well. I read it was similar to a sample I tried once and liked, Turathi Blue. Wow! It may be the most complemented fragrance I've ever owned! I enjoyed the scent profile so much that I decided to buy a bottle of a couple other dupes, Black Panther and Turathi Blue. They smell pretty similar and I really enjoy them also, but there's something about that "extra" from the original Shuhrah that synergizes this profile in my experience. I still catch parts of the original Shuhrah here and there, but not so much of the notes that I think make the original a bit more polarizing. I'm still learning about fragrances and their aspects, but I can say that Shuhrah Elixir is quite strong in comparison to many I've tried in the past. I can spray in the morning and still smell it before bed. I honestly wasn't expecting the attention/compliments because that hasn't been my experience with Black Panther or Turathi Blue. So, I feel like I have very similar fragrances with the option for different occasions/presentations. The best part for me-Shuhrah Elixir was cheaper to purchase than Black Panther or Turathi Blue. I'm considering buying a sample of Tygar just to see how it was interpreted, and I wonder if it's gonna have that "extra" that so many dupes miss. In my experience, be ready to receive attention with this fragrance...people complimenting, asking questions about it, etc. When I'm not feeling very social and just want to smell good, I grab one of the other dupes I have instead. Regardless-Shuhrah Elixir is a 10 for me!

#1705 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Unbelievable price for a scent of this amazing quality. Even after a hot shower, scrubbing with a washcloth, this scent was still hanging in there. Lasts all day. Strong projection. And the scent itself is so nice I could not stop smelling it. Absolutely a must have fragrance for me. A great value at $20-$30. It would be a great value at $60. No relationship to Rasasi’s original “Shuhrah." Nice, strong violet note over the top of the citrus and woods. Definitely warm weather wear I will use all summer long. Good for formal office, casual or date wear. Beats the hell out of both the Bvlgari Tygar and Turathi Blue on scent and performance. This is warmer and the citrus is less screechy thanks to the violet and rose notes. And unlike original “Shuhrah", the rose here is subtle and not at grandma juice levels, making it easier to wear in hot weather. Masculine without being aggressive. Seriously. You cannot go wrong with this on scent, quality or price. And since something this good seems to often get discontinued or reformulated, I’ve ordered backup bottles. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

I think I like the original better. I'm not so sure they were trying to put Tygar DNA in this, or if they just wanted to make a slightly more mass appealing version of Shuhrah. It really only reminds me of Tygar in the beginning, but citrus and ginger are pretty common notes. I love the whole fragrance, but I'm kind of in the camp of the top notes don't quite match the dry down. It starts off with the bright citrus ginger(which fades fast), and then you start smelling the florals, and woods more. It still has some of that oud and leather vibe of the original, but it isn't as mossy, wet, or green. It is a bit more powdery than the original, and I'd say equally soapy, but this one's a litte more modern shower gel. I'd say the original is a little stronger and longer lasting, but they are close. This is not a replacement for Tygar so you might as well not bother getting it for it's closeness to it. I'm honestly not sure why they made this. That being said it's good but redundant.

Not many people have got hold of this one yet, I bought this immediately when I got to know that this is a dupe of Bvlgari Tygar. Thanks to Joy Amin for his review video. Mee already in love with Afnan Turathi Blue and Rue Broca Theoreme, had to buy this as well... As expected, this stood tall. Rasasi have done a great job over this DNA of Bvlgari Tygar. In terms of quality of juice and performance: Shuhrah Elixir = Turathi Blue, in fact better than Turathi Blue in some aspects. Shuhrah Elixir > Theoreme. It lasted longer than 2 days (48 hours, yes!) on my t-shirt, here in Indian weather. It does not loose its shape, is not sharp. Dry down is pleasant too. Shuhrah Elixir is a richer blend than you would imagine.. I would say just get this one and you will not regret. This is a first batch and a strong one, so don't think much, just get it. This along with Turathi Blue now in my all time top 15.

I waited a long time to get this from the Rasasi showroom, and now it's finally available at Rasasi outlets across the UAE. I purchased mine from the Rasasi store in Dalma Mall. Coming to the scent—it's absolutely lovely. Rasasi has nailed it with this one. The blend is top-notch, clean, fresh, and incredibly well-crafted. The more I wear it, the more addicted I become to the fragrance. The performance is on par with the original Shuhrah. Excellent longevity and strong projection for many hours. It's an absolute bang for the buck. Many reviews describe it as a fresher version of Shuhrah, but I don't agree. In my experience, it is completely different from Shuhrah and doesn't carry any noticeable resemblance to it at any stage of the fragrance journey. Its 10/10.

i bought this based off peoples thoughts on it from here and i have to say its a really great perfume from top to bottom. after the first spray there is a lovely hint of ginger and lemon without being over baring, the dry down is also very smooth. That I feel is helped by the use of ingredients used to create the violet smell. which is to my nose in fairly dominate in this perfume. I would say some would love this and some may not. some men may find this a little femine with the rose and violet, i personally feel it falls into place well with the amber and wood notes. Great lover of this and its longevity is also something worth mentioning!

In a world of Imagination, Pacific Chill, Tygar, etc., and their many clones, I finally have my favorite opening for a warm weather scent. I truly love the way ginger and rose play together in this fragrance... Just simply fantastic. I especially appreciate the masculine-leaning nature. I’ll still call it fully unisex, but as far as the floral notes go, it doesn’t come off too feminine. Blind buy safe? Maybe not. It’s probably pretentious to call this one “advanced”, but if you know you like the way the aforementioned fragrances, I don’t see disappointment in your future if you took the chance. For the price, it’s a banger! 8/10.

A gorgeous mixture between Tygar and the OG Shuhrah, just without the tomato leaf. It smells amazing but it’s missing what the OG had and it’s the uniqueness from the tomato leaf. Understandably, it was very polarizing and it was either love or hate. I can’t deny that it’s a slightly different variant from the Tygar, Turathi blue, Vibrato gang but it is still a bit in its own realm. It’s beautiful in every way and performance is outstanding. I have it. This is my initial review For my nose, it is between the OG Suhrah and Tygar Bvlgari. If you didn't know the original Shuhrah perfume, you would notice immediately it was inspired by the Tygar (the sweet citrus, mandarin). When it drys down, the origina Shuhrah starts to appear.. Etc. It is rich, and dense, you will feel that you bought a high quality perfume. Scent: 8.5 Bottle: 9 Longevity: 8 Sillage: 7

Thought I'd add here that I've glimpsed yet another variation of Shuhrah that will hopefully be released soon, called Avenoir. Opaque, deep red bottle, in the classic Shuhrah design. This is one of the fragrance that last on me, i think all Rasasi does. The longevity is insane. The scent profile is like a citrus/ grapefruit opening and develops into something rich and sophisticated scent. Maybe because of its ambery woody and fruity dry down. I love this Shura Elixir and definitely one of my favorite in the ME fragrances

Tried Shurah Elixir and honestly it surprised me. The scent opens clean and feminine, then settles into a soft sweet–fresh vibe that feels really elegant. On my skin it lasts around 6 to 8 hours, which is quite good for a daily perfume. Overall, a nice, affordable fragrance that smells classy without trying too hard.

This is a good replication of Bvlgari Tygar. Opening with Orange candy burst and drydown towards Sandlewood and Patchouli. I will prefer this over Turathi Blue & Theoreme. Best value for the price 👌🏽 Smell - 9 Longevity - 8 Sillage - 8 Overall Rating - 8.5

Looking forward to try this one. I don't see it available anywhere for now, so it's strange that there are reviews already. I would probably disregard all (positive or negative) till we have more critical mass actually reviewing after smell and wear.

The burst of citrus in the opening is really good but there’s something off about it after. I blind bought it so I’ve tried hard to like it but I’m still unsure about it tbh. Smells better in the air/ on skin then on paper. On paper it’s repulsive.

It's better than Turathi and other inspired scents.... not very close to Tygar but i feel, that's better than Bulgari. That's really great, original fragrance... for a few bucks. Excellent performance. Good Job Rasasi.

Dry down is pretty similar to Declaration, or I would say something between OG Declaration and Declaration D'un Soir Intense. A unique scent indeed and definitely not a blind buy safe.

Can’t beat the niche vibe of the original Shuhrah (I know it’s a polarizing one but I love it). This one is more “fresh” style but still good. Easy to please if you like violet.
