Shuhrah Pour Femme

With Shuhrah pour Femme, I was sitting on the fence for too long now. Finally, I bought this perfume so much praised on the web. It is astounding that the packaging seems almost covered in silk. Having recently received "Shuhrah pour Homme | Rasasi", I already knew what awaited me from a presentation point of view. The transparent plastic cap may clash with the solid glass bottle, but that’s not what interests me. It didn’t take long before it dumbfounded me after spraying a sample onto the back of my hand. A robust and dense brume full of mystery enveloped me like a cloak. It’s a modern chypre, and there’s no escaping it. And right in the first few notes, I recognised something very close to famous perfumes such as "Coco Mademoiselle (Eau de Parfum) | Chanel" and "L'Interdit (2018) (Eau de Parfum) | Givenchy". Not that Shuhrah is a clone. Instead, they all have that distinctive filthy touch typical of patchouli, which leaves more than one imprint on the entire evolution of the perfume. Shuhrah pour Femme has only the name Shuhrah and the bottle shape in common with its male counterpart. If the masculine light blue liquid offers us an atmosphere full of smoky and incense notes, the feminine straw yellow fluid contains citric, flowery and earthy notes. The two perfumes are complementary yet different from one another. Both Shuhrah perfumes are great and ridiculously cheap for the quality of both presentation and essences. About this fragrance, lemon, lily of the valley, and patchouli are the dominant notes. Surrounding these citrus, floral and earthy accords are other green, powdery, salty and woody undertones that complement the fabulous potion. Ouch, the sprayer works well with a considerable amount of juice expanding in one go. Opening Shuhrah offers citrus and green notes from lemon and sage on a floral background. The smokiness of the oud is evident but subdued, smoky but not animalic or skanky, and combined with the lemon zest and velvety leaves of sage; it offers a unique opening. The initial phase is citrusy with herbaceous and smoky undertones; a sheer squeeze of fresh lemons infused with a subtle hint of oud. It might feel fresh but only for a while. Shuhrah is non-linear, and as the rushing opening subsides, I perceive the first shift towards a dense white floral accord. From the rich bouquet, I mostly get the poisonous, narcotic lily of the valley, underpinned by indolic jasmine and a chypre accord nuance. The powdery edge is dry, unlike baby powder or lipstick, just powder that muffles the higher notes. In the dry-down, another gradual change follows. This time it brings mossiness and earthiness wrapped up in a salty undertone. The oud tone is still there, not dominant, but perceptible and harmonious. At no time did I hear a loud, medicinal, or massive oud. On my skin, I see a lot of clean musks juxtaposed with the slightly medicinal, almost balsamic and mentholated patchouli. At the same time, the ambergris stays in the background along with the oud, adding harmony without taking possession. Again, this scent intended for a female audience can be worn by a man passionate about white flowers without being labelled too flowery or sweetish. The floral part is dark, dense and deep, almost abysmal, sensual, and masculine from specific points of view. The female version is a little less potent than the male one. I don't get stellar performance, perhaps recent batches have been reformulated. Though, both projection and longevity are good but slightly weaker than "Shuhrah pour Homme | Rasasi". However, I see an outstanding performance. As for the season, the key chords remind me of autumn and maybe spring, mostly daytime and evening. If I stay moderate with the splashes, the office can be a suitable occasion to wear it, along with leisure time spent shopping or out and about. I would say delighted after my thousand-second thoughts. Rasasi confirms itself as an ideal house for Middle Eastern perfumes. I'm basing my opinion and review on a bottle I've owned since December 2022 (PD 06-2022).

Review in Spring/Summer: I don't even comprehend the comparisons in the previous review. I read it and was almost put off from trying out Shuhrah as I do not like the fragrances she was compared to. Shuhrah is not a strict chypre, she has a rather citrus opening but the patchouli is not so earthy I'd call her a chypre (there is more oud than patchouli to my nose). Shuhrah cannot be called a herbal fragrance either, there is sage and it is present but it is well blended with lily of the valley. It is not a light floral either, there's too much going on for it to be simplistic. So what is Shuhrah, what does she smell like? To me and on my skin, Shuhrah is an aromatic white floral made superb by an imprint of Oud and a touch of ambergris and moderately earthy patchouli. There is a sweet, almost sugared nuance to the citrus opening and lily of the valley dominated mid. Shuhrah is never 'heavy'. I've gotten my nose on quite a number of fragrances, but I have never smelt anything quite like her, never been more enamoured, more eager to explore her. I would not encourage you to blind buy Shuhrah if you are not into complex florals, prefer sweet fragrances or have never owned a perfume with the oud note in it before. I have no complaints whatsoever on longevity and projection. It is not too much or too limited. If you are unused to oud, this one is the barnyard type, but it is well blended with earthy patchouli. If you test Shuhrah on paper, you will find that the oud and patchouli are quite prominent, this is not the same on fabric or skin. I'd advise you to test on skin before reaching a judgement. *I have owned Shuhrah since April Review for Autumn: As the weather grows cold in the Shire, Shuhrah unfolds itself quite differently and I am pleasantly surprised. On skin and fabric, that sweetened, lemon floral nuance I called the opening is now very pronounced, oud and patchouli have taken a very low back seat and I can understand the comments about lemon with sugar. The notes I perceive are lemon (very present), a rather sour-aromatic sage, lily of the valley, oud and musk. There is still barnyard oud but it can only be smelt in the dry down and the faecal aspect is minute. I am not sure how I feel about Shuhrah in cold weather, it is less 'different' and feels like a sour-fresh white floral with oud fragrance. Hmm, I'll update my review in the winter.

Rasasi Shuhrah Pour Femme is a big, bold and beautiful white floral fragrance that is wrapped in a fashionable veil of musk and amber, a gentle squeeze of fresh lemons, hints of subtle oud, and just a pinch of herbal and powdery tones. Although Shuhrah does have a certain sex appeal, it strikes me as being more of a confident scent that strikes a perfect balanced of not being too serious, but at the same time not too laid back. Besides being a lovely white floral, the beauty of this fragrance is that it is extremly versatile and can be worn casually, professionally, dressed-up, dressed-down, and for daytime or evening wear. It can be worn any season and for any reason, but go extremely light on the trigger during Summertime because it is a strong perfume that can get cloying in the heat. Performance is a stellar in that it lasts 10-14 hours on skin and well into the next day when sprayed onto clothing. Two or three sprays will fill a room, when applied, and leaves a heavy scent trail for 2-3 hours but, overall, it radiates heavy but does not venture into beast mode territory. If you're looking for an excellent performing, great smelling, very affordable white-floral perfume, then give this one an opportunity. Finally, although I detect jasmine front-and-center, I do also pickup-on the lily note that appears to be tucked-away between the musk, amber and oudy accords - just need to search a bit.

Sour patch kids on steroids. This baby is nuclear chypre. Spray once on the back of your hand, after it dries, wash it off and swamp with olive oil. You will still smell the next day after a shower. No joke. It's the second day before showering but after hand washing and olive oil, and I am getting tart chypre floral magic in the air, and lemon sage on the skin. I think I might try the bottom of my foot next and see what happens. Comparison to Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme: Similar chypre structure, but instead of blackberry & cypress it's sugared lemon & sage. However, I do pick up a faint blackberry/violet note in Shuhruh. These are pretty similar with respect to scent profile, both being zingy chypres with herbal & aromatic touches. Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme is likely to be preferred by more sensitive and refined noses. Comparison to Rogue Rihanna: Similar structure, but rather than strawberry, it's sugared lemon. Comparison to City Glam Emporio Armani: Similar chypre structure, but instead of blackberry it's sugared lemon. Overall: enjoyable scent profile, but difficult to wear in a way that it doesn't overpower. Performance is orders of magnitude beyond comparators. Enjoy!

To me, Shuhrah is gold. That’s the first thing that comes to my mind. It smells luxurious, opulent and decadent without being heavy or intense. One whiff, and I am suddenly this woman who wears silk robes and tiny rubies on her ears and a tasteful but significant solitaire on her finger. Shuhrah opens with sage and lemon - very earthy, almost herbal, reminding me of Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely - but then the Lily of the valley comes in with the Iris, finally settling down all warm and smooth with the Oud and patchouli. I didn’t think I’d like oud in my perfume, neither was I a fan of Ambergris, but Shuhrah has them both and I am not complaining one bit! This lasts really really well. And when you spray on your skin, you can actually see how much oil is there in the perfume. Such a well blended, well made perfume. And so versatile too! This is truly an all rounder as it fits any occasion and any season.

Shuhrah is as clean and white as patchouli gets. This is a gorgeous perfume for patchouli lovers. The sage, jasmin, ambergris and white musk counters this patchouli beautifully and keeps it from going in the soil/dirty direction. There is even a minty tone. Gorgeous. Reminds me a bit of TF White Patchouli and Perles de Lalique. Mature and sophisticated. However, despite all the initial whiteness and brightness, in the dry down, you are left with the "good ole" patchouli. Dark, earthy and slightly dirty. Just 1 spray is enough with this one. I am wearing it in 86F because I'm brave (and by myself 😉). P.S. I get complimented by ladies every time I wear this. Performance is amazing. Best worn in cooler weather below 70F.

My goodness. This smells INCREDIBLE. Ultra feminine, but very elegant comes to mind. This is not a little girl, but a women in every sense of the word 💃🏼. I definitely agree with @Masumk that this is an extremely clean Oud. This is so far, the cleanest Oud I have ever smelled. You get that citrusy floral lemon 🍋 and sage 🌿 in the opening, and they stay through the entire ride picking up their ambergris, Iris, jasmine, Oud and musk passengers, creating beautiful harmony 💫. I brought the last bottle off fragnet as a back up. It’s THAT good. The price vs quality is unbeatable and worth every cent. Projection and longevity are insanely great. If you can find it, SNATCH THIS UP QUICK. Just gorgeous. Love it 💛

Something in this really reminds me of Calvin Klein's Escape for women, only in Shuhrah that something is a lot greener; a dense field of white flowers, and as you walk through them, the smell of fresh herbs and damp earth as your foot snaps the stems and disturbs the soil. With movement, a little burst of citrus surprises you unpredictably. Insane longevity, especially on clothes. For me, a daytime-only fragrance, and probably only for spring, where I imagine the whole blend being carried on a passing breeze.

This perfume is sooo good! I love it! 😍 It smells very natural and luxurious, I can feel the white flowers playing with sage, lemon, and patchouli in the background. Oud I do not perceive specifically. It is really unique, feminine, long lasting and strong. Dear, if you want to smell unique and receive compliments, I definitely recommend Rasasi Shuhrah Pour Femme! 😉

I am loving this! I smell the perfect balance of moist leaves, sweet flowers and warm resins. Blame my post Covid nose. Very pleasant! I'm not picking out individual notes as much as just a well balanced slightly Arabian crowd pleaser. Not cloying or gourmand but perfectly mildly sweet. Not sensing the full wholop of patchouli, but a clean white version. Well done!

The first spray is bizarre - a blast of patchouli and oud. The dry down however, is lovely. Lemon and sage show up, almost as if the scent pyramid is reversed. It becomes herbal and refreshing. The florals round out the chypre profile and it feels quite elegant overall. A really surprising fragrance.

I am quite surprised that this frag has just a few reviews. Shuhrah is unfairly overlooked. This is a divine scent! Reminds me something from Chanel – the same sweet lemon, soft and fresh patchouli, jasmine. It is a luxury super quality juice for a very affordable price

Love at first sniff! Successful blind buy. My husband loves it too. Something very nostalgic about it. I need to go back and take more notice of the notes so I will update my review at a later date, but for now it's an instant love. Very chic.

For winter, I absolutely love this perfume. Whenever I wear it, I receive compliments without fail. It's a beautiful fragrance with excellent sillage and impressive longevity, making it the perfect choice for the colder months.

On my 2nd bottle, the price is going up so snatch up the discounts, beast mode sophisticated fragrance, it was a blind buy and I'm pleasantly surprised. Great for layering but stands on its own.

This is straight up green tea with lemon and a small spoon of sugar with a hint of jasmine. If this is your cup of tea (heh), I highly recommend.

Very pleasant summer scent. Herby and citrusy opening, leading into lovely patchouli and lily of the valley. The musk shines in the dry down.

Earthy patchouli heavy. You have to love the note to enjoy this one. A fragrance for grown up people 😊 that enjoy chypres. I adore it.

I'll talk about 3 different scents in this genre. I can't comment on the closeness to Gris Dior as I've never smelt it. I think there's a tendency to call many Middle Eastern perfumes a dupe for something well known as mental short cut to describe them. But I think some could very well stand on their own and should be judged for what they are. I started with Grey Mountain by Prive Zarah. But I decluttered it because the quality was not the best. Something about it made my nose itch and my eyes water. Scent-wise Grey Mountain reminded me more of Ajmal Evoke for her but they're not identical. GM has a sparkliness, light freshness about it, whilst Evoke is sweet and warm. Shuhrah starts of similarly but soon shifts into a warm lemon tea-like, herbaceous, earthy scent. There's also something a bit rubbery and mentholy. As more time passes it becomes a cool, menthol-like earthy scent. I've read somewhere that oud can have a menthol type of vibe. The oud is not at all stinky or bothersome. On skin it quickly goes to the base notes after about 3 hours but you get more of the lemony fresh vibe for longer on clothes. The freshness reminds me Fragrance World's Aqua Stellar, which I don't detect in the other 2. As much as I like the quality of Evoke, the vanilla in the base ruins it for me. That said, I'm happy to have both Shuhrah and Evoke. I'd have gladly kept Grey Mountain if not for it quality issues. I think there's enough differences between the 3 if you really enjoy this vibe. I'm not sure if Maison Alhambra's Gray Ash or Grise would be better but I'll check it out when I get the chance.

I got this today and tested it for the first time. For hours I kept getting the feeling that I not only smelled this exact scent before, but even owned it. And then it hit me. My beloved Lancome Idole L'Intense! I finished a 25ml bottle of Idole L'Intense in 2 months, followed immediately by another 50ml that I basically drowned myself in, and then it got discontinued and impossible to find where I am. However, it's not an exact dupe. It smells only like the drydown of Idole L'Intense, a luscious chypre patchouli. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Edit: after settling for a few months, this doesn't remind me of Idole L'Intense anymore. Instead, it's now much fresher and brighter. I can almost sense a crisp green apple note. In any case it's perfect for spring, in my opinion.

When I first got this, the sage was very pronounced, however, after sitting several months...this is gorgeous. A little bit of the herbal notes are there in the beginning but it faded to a lotion-y, powdery, floral fragrance. Be careful though, it is strong. and...this is a gorgeous and sophisticated blend.... to my nose, it smells woody at first but then....the dry down. I feel as though this is the scent of a healthy/wealthy woman. A woman who works behind the scenes to make the lives of her family and others better. It doesn't scream...it just says, "i'm here to get the job done and I want to smell well whilst doing it"

Just received this today. I am a 45 year old woman and I can say that this reminds me of something from my youth. At first, when I read the description as chypre floral I was afraid it would smell very earthy and animalic like Paloma Picasso. But it is far from that. I can smell the citrus in the opening and as it dries down the florals come through. Luckily the oud note is not as pronounced as I feared it would be. All in all it's a definite thumbs up from me and it's fresh out of the bottle. Let's see how this vintage beauty will develop! 8/10

Beautiful perfume with a killer performance! Well blended, I feel the lemon and the jasmine aroma lingering through the whole day. Beware, no more than 2 sprays, as it can be too much for everyone around you. I would have never guessed this is an Arabic product. To my nose it has zero similarity to Tom Ford White Patchouli and I own it.

The first 1-2 hours of this perfume smell of synthetic lily of the valley, which is reason my hand doesn't instinctively reach for this perfume that much. The dry down, however, is very nice, smells of remnants of floral and a nice oud. It's a shame the waiting time until the good part takes too long on my skin.

Oh yeah very strong lemon and sage opening. It’s very green, aromatic, musky. It’s a definite steal for its price! It reminds me of TF white patchouli, almost a dupe. Give it a try if you have a taste of the florals, green, herbal.

After the first spray, it reminded me of My Name by Trussardi. After about an hour, however, it smells much better, very clean and surprisingly unobtrusive for an arabic fragrance.

I bought Shuhrah as a blind-buy :-| Note to myself: do not do it again!! I was looking for jasmine and lily-of-the-valley in a reasonably beasty mode. I found an atomic bomb! No kidding, this is really heavy artillery. It can trigger a migraine, too. And I thought I was a tough one! I'm not sure how I will use this one. One spritz fills a room and it's not expensive, so I guess it's big bang for your $$. After my initial try I just closed it in a drawer and forgot for weeks. It sometimes happens with these unusual Arabic perfumes that you need more tests in order to decipher them and they may also change a bit after they get open. Shuhrah changes a lot on skin, so it would be better to test it before buying. On paper it stays strong and fresh like coumarin/cut grass for hours, but on my skin it actually has evolution. It opens very strong and deeply aromatic/herbal with a hint of bergamot. I guess it's the clary sage. It knocked me off. As for many other Rasasi, quality is there and the notes are perfectly entwined, they don't come in separate blocks. This opening is supercharged with herbs like in an old packed herbal shop and it also has a smell of a thick forest with trunks, leaves and pine cones, intensely balmy. It could be an effect of patchouli. This stage reminds me of YSL Elle or a nuance of the drydown of Amarige first formula. I waited and waited with this bomb on my arm, but no jasmine nor lily showed up. I was looking for those ones :-/ The perfume became a little more mellow, not sugary, but less pungent and I guess some good iris set in. No musk detected but it could be overwhelmed by other notes. I smell some ambergris and a vaguely sweet and faint oud. I've started smelling some beautiful white flower and a hint of sweet fruit like peach after about 8 hours (!!), among the herbs and woods that never fade out. I hope it works different on other chemistries or I cannot justify the hype on YT. They say it is a sexy perfume... not sure, but I must admit that it has some elegance and I see it more as a scent of confidence and assertiveness. I probably was hoping for a more festive white floral with musky tones. I could smell Shuhrah on my arms for about 16 hours into the day after. Even if you just touch the spray the smell will stick to your fingers. All in all this is an incredibly powerful Chypre with a modern and Eastern twist. No Floral perfume on me.

So user beware, this is not a completely sweet-smelling fragrance. This is herbal, patchouli, lemon goodness with a little bit of sweetness from the jasmine note. That is why I consider this unisex. It is a freshie and can be a tad bit strong so you don't have to spray too much. It definitely reminds me of the middle east and my home country of Nigeria, the picture of traditional fabric comes to mind. If I'm being honest, it also reminds me of luxurious baby wipes or lemon grass. I like sweet florals so this isn't something I would wear all the time but only for certain occasions. Still, the smell is pleasant as it reminds me of home and I'm used to it. Not sure if someone new to middle eastern frags and smells would like this. If you love herbs and citrus, this should definitely be up your alley.

Super strong and absolutely fills a room. The scent remains in the room hours later. Straight up patchouli and oud on me which is completely overwhelming. I ended up giving this to my mother who can pull off these crazy strong scents. It was just too much for me and I couldn't wear it.

This meh frag. I think the sage note is just not appealing and doesn't seem to really compliment the other notes.

It's strong and long lasting, but, unfortunately, very unpleasant. It has a sharp, very sour opening that persists even after it dries. A very vinegary lemon initially, that turns into a soapy, sour, patchouli plus an unpleasant musk, almost a mould like dry down. I am a fan of very intense, musky, weird perfumes, but this is not for me; I smell none of the white floral or refreshing notes. I'll try to check if it becomes softer and better blended after a few months of maceration.

batch mar 2021. blind bought this for my girlfriend and we hate it.. maybe it is a bad batch?? smells like a cheap flower scented aerosol bathroom spray, will probably just use it as that, although even using it for that i would be hesitant. Definitely not unisex.

Top: beer Middle: pee Base: grass and cheap perfume Those are the accords. Smells like the aftermath of: you had a hard day of yardwork and went to the bar for a golden shower. YUCK!

Herbal patchouli, loud white florals, chypre, vintage leaning. Failed blind buy.

It would be a beautiful perfume without the sage. That's causing a really disgusting sour smell. Unfortunately this smell is getting stronger with time and doesn't goes away. I really like Rasasi perfumes and this one I have to sell :(

Cloying 070722 Update: After two months sitting on my table, I decided to try it again and WOW, It smells quite nice 🤔 I don’t know what happened lol

The worst I've ever bought in my life,it doesn't even smell as a perfume, it's like water with a hint of something smelling.Don't throw your money.

I get it people might have different nose for different perfumes, but there is no way anyone can ever like this shit! Smells like rotten piss

الي اشمه هو فقط رائحة عود كيميائية حادة جدا جدا جدا جدا، فقط هذي الرئحة المشمومة. اول ١٠-١٥ دقيقة الرائحة تشبه رائحة مزيل المناكير بنسبة ٧٠٪ مع عود ٣٠٪. ثم تبدا تهدأ رائحة مزيل المناكير بالتدريج الى ان تصبح ١٥٪ فقط بعد ٤٥ دقيقة تقريبا. بعد هذا الـ ٤٥ دقيقة تبقى رائحة عود كيميائية بارزة، نوع العود متوسط العمق لا عميق مره ولا فاتح مره ثم تستمر هذه الرائحة (عود كيميائي سادة) الى نهاية العطر ولكنه يستمر بالبهتان الطبيعي، تصبح رائحته اهدأ ليس لبروز نوتات اخرى مثل الورد او غيره، بل فقط لأن الرائحة تبهت، تبقى هي نفسها ولكن اخف. فقط هذا هو العطر، مافيه لا ورود ولا ليمون ولا خفيف ولا هم يحزنون. لو قلت لي هذا عود سادة صدقتك فعلا غريب جدا اختلاف حاسة الشم بين الناس لنفس العطر، الي اشمه مختلف تماما عن اغلب التعليقات او النوتات المذكورة. شفت كم تعليق فقط شموا نفس الي شميته ووصفوه بنفس وصفي، اعتقد التفسير الاقرب هو تفاوت الرائحة حسب الباتش، لانه الي اشمه مستحيل احد يوصفه بانه حمضي او زهري او خفيف او بانه اي امر اخر غير انه رائحة كيميائية حادة موحدة وسادة تقييم العطر اول ساعتين 0.25/10 بعد اول ساعتين 4.5/10 االتقييم الاجمالي 1.75/10 - What I smell is just a very, very, very, very sharp chemical oud scent, that’s all. The first 10-15 minutes, the scent resembles nail polish remover, about 70% that, with 30% oud. It’s really strange how people’s sense of smell differs for the same perfume. What I smell is completely different from most reviews or listed notes. I saw only a few comments that smelled exactly what I did and described it the same way. I think the most likely explanation is batch variation, because what I smell could never be described as citricy, floral, light, or anything else other than a sharp, uniform, plain chemical scent. This is really nice. Strong, I definitely get the oud but also florals and some lemon. This is good because it’s not just a white floral, there’s definite oud in there but maybe that’s because I have lots of oud oils and fragrances that I’m able to pick it out immediately. I don’t get any musk unfortunately.

Great fragrance for the price. Nice white floral musky scent with an Oud base. The cleanest Oud I would say. Just got it today for wifey as a surprise. Great longevity and sillage. It’s a go! Personal Overall Rating 8/10
