Sonia

Initially I find this to be an enchanting fragrance. It is sweet and somewhat soapy but in a very classy way. This smells expensive to me and somehow reminds me of another fragrance (western) but I can't put my finger on it as yet. I love this fragrance. If Sonia was a person she would be mature, classy, classic and you would not be able to judge her age. She would be confident also. She always smells good and knows what she wants. This belongs with the classic/vintage perfumes such as Opium by YSL or Youth Dew by Estee Lauder. It is unique in its own right but definitely has class and is glamorous. I have layered this with Vanilla Oudh by Ard Al Zafaaran and they complement each other perfectly. :)

Just received this from an eBay purchase and so far I really am "in like" I am waiting to see how the oils dry down on my skin, but right out the gate it's nice. A little soapy at first but then it's starts to warm up.

For me, this starts with a strong laundry detergent smell that whilst remaining strong and progressively soapy over the first hour and a half, mellows to a pleasant honeysuckle/jasmine soft floral fragrance. This lasts for around two hours before developing into a soothing amber cinnamon spice skin scent (think a softer Diesel Zero Plus Masculine). Overall this was a nice surprise. Being new to perfume oils, I want to believe the hype of potential niche style fragrances for a fraction of the cost. Whilst I haven't found that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow yet and have turned down several blind alleys, I'm certainly enjoying the journey. Conclusion: A lovely if a tad generic unisex Spring/Cool Summer evening scent with solid longevity.

Musk and flowers,no less,no more, very common scent, and although I can call it synthetic more than natural, the dry down is soapy, very soapy........ in the first hour maximum, it has a huge projection, but after that, it turns into a skin scent, longevity are excellent, not less than 15 hours......... should I recommend it?? ok, it depends on your style and mood, i think young ladies in middle east are invited to try that my rating: 6/10

It's so hard to be objective when your heart insists this is the most glorious scent you've smelt in a very long time. Creamy, delicate floral with great longevity (10+ hours) and moderate to soft sillage. It's not rude or demanding, but steady and demure. It's beautiful and classy, and I'm completely bowled over. A definite contender for my signature scent.

Sonia is a beautiful perfume that lasts all day.Very aldehydic opening (soapy feeling?)settles into a creamy woodsy floral base. Give it a try in a summer time. Sillage is 10/10 I dont like first hour or so, but drydown is a winner !

Rasasi’s ‘Sonia’ was disappointing. For the first hour, it starts off almost exactly like Rasasi’s ‘Afshan’ (which I adore) but it’s not as clean as there’s an additional metallic note which seems to be a staple (excuse the pun) in Arabian attars. But over the next few hours it then slowly morphs into Radasi’s ‘Arba Wardat’. I wore them on each wrist to compare and the dry-down of both ‘Sonia’ and ‘Arba Wardat’ is a generic synthetic floral funk. I was hoping to be captivated but was left feeling like my toilet air freshener had leaked onto my skin.

It starts with a pleasent smell, but the dry down is soooo annoying on my skin! It smells like soap, and not a natural one! This is my second disappointment with a Rasasi perfume (the other one was Rania, even worse than this one!) And they contain some ingredients that are banned by the EU as not safe in cosmetics!

Very harsh on the nose to begin with but dries down to leave a soapy woody scent which lasts for hours. When I first tried this in 2012 I couldn't stand it but now I am drawn towards it. Just purchased this today and this lasts for a long time on skin with medium sillage. Not your average Arabic perfume. Reminds me of the old school apege, first and madam roche type perfumes.

OH i love this smell totally! Its so exotic! I can't understand y the above reviews r bad.. I am no perfume expert..but this one really is exotic to me! gifted to this to my close girl pals..even they love it!

Love the soapy, clean scent of this. It dries down to a soft powdery finish. I put it on before bed as I find it very relaxing, when I awake in the morning I can still smell it on my skin!

this never transitioned out of the shuffleboard soap box onto the chaise for a fresh punch under the palms.

Creammy,fresh,and very vintage. If you like vintage fragrances, you will love this.
