Let's get this out there. This is not a clone of EN or ENE. Yes, there is vetiver, a nice dose, but it is secondary to the wood accord. While EN/ENE are dark and somewhat austere, this one is lightened by pink pepper, amber and a bit of uncredited mint, all of which add significant aspects. My eyes are very sensitive to mint, and here it cools my eyes. It doesn't play like mint, though, more like a varnish in a woodshop. While this advertises cedar, the actual scent is closer to the scent of the lumber area of Home Depot. The combined effect is that this is more wearable than EN/ENE. I adore both of those, but my wife doesn't share my enthusiasm. This one, though, she likes. The visual I get is a log cabin with herbs and grasses drying in the rafters. As the scent dries down, a light earthy element comes along, as well as a gentian-type bitterness, but that mint (which is now resolving as peppermint) and the pink pepper add aromatics that balance this well. This is not heavy. It can work in any season, and in any setting from casual to office to formal. It doesn't project much, and becomes hard to detect around 5 - 6 hours when sprayed on clothes and skin, so the performance isn't its main virtue. But for around $21, this is one of my most successful blind buys in recent memories. Edit: The "bottle" has a short narrative that says that this contains Himalayan Pine, African Boabab, Sandalwood and Virginia Cedar. Not sure why the notes differ, but that explains why this doesn't just smell like cedar. Second Edit: After several more wearings, the closest "smells like" fragrance would be something from Pineward. While Pineward is an excellent designer, a 5 ml decant costs more than a full bottle of this, so this one offers an inexpensive glimpse into that world.

The bottle actually says Wow on it. I couldn't agree more. One of the best wood scents I've smelled to date regardless of price point. Lots of Vetiver (mostly) and Cedar that is smoothed out by creamy Sandalwood. There is a bit of sweetness in it but not much. This is all about the Vetiver and woods. I get kind of a 3 parts Encre Noir 1 part Tam Dao. One YouTube reviewer said this was a dead ringer for Original Vetiver. WRONG! If you saw that review please don't buy this thinking it's remotely close to Original Vetiver. Another review said it's like a more wearable Encre Noir and that's the way I see it. If you like woods and love Vetiver this is a Homerun.

Wow I really like this fragrance, gave me instant nostalgia when I got a sniff (when I was a kid I remember smelling real vetiver roots in India which are mostly used in ayurvedic medicines). The smell is basically earthy vetiver with a slight hint of sandalwood. But I feel that the sillage and projection are poor on this one. But for me every sniff of this perfume it puts a smile on my face. This scent is similar to the one you may get inside a Hindu temple in India or an ayuvedic pharmacy, hence I think Indians will like this fragrance by default.

Nice fresh citrusy fruity opening quickly settles into dry cut wood smell with slight vetiver following and then it's mixed wood and vetiver notes mostly, on my skin it fades away in 3 hrs. Good for layering with tobacco scents or Encre Noire but not close to TDH. Scent 6/10 Sillage 6/10 pretty much a skin scent, maybe longevity and projection increases on clothes. Longevity 6/10 Value 7/10

Trying to be Encre Noire and doing a piss-poor job of it. Nuff said when Encre Noire is like 7 bucks more and smells 180 bucks better. Some Nautica Voyage bullshit right chea!

Finally got a sample of Woody (even though I've had it watched on eBay for at least a couple years). Woody is a nice scent, but not super "woody" It's a patchouli bomb, reminding me a lot of A*Men Pure Energy/Pure Shot - it has the same patchouli, but the mint is replaced by a green vetiver, and the sequoia replaced by a mild oud. After it dries down a bit, I start getting a little bit of the grapefruit. Not sure if I'll get a full bottle any time soon since I already own Pure Energy, and I think it'd be a bit redundant

It’s wood. It actually smells like vetiver wood. And it has a cool bottle. Buy this if you like woody fragrances. I did, and I’m glad I did. No idea why so many people seem to hate it, but then again, I don’t play the comparison game. I never judge a fragrance by trying to determine whether and what it may be trying to copy. I either like it or I don’t. I really like this one. It’s super high quality. Use it alone or to add a touch of wood to anything else you wear.

This fragrance has performance issue.Neither projection nor sillage is good.Atleast 15 sprays are required in order to gain projection and compliments.Not recommended for cold nights just for hot days. maximum longevity is about 2 hours.Not worth buying at all.And never go for blind buy.Hundreds of fragrances are hundred times better than this under this price tag.So save your money and go for nice one.

I am a huge fan of vetiver frags and so procured this one. The smell is great but as my fellow reviewer Hassan mentioned, this scent stays close to your skin/ clothes and does not project much. If the performance of this fragrance can be amped up, I'd buy a couple more but given the low projection/ sillage, I think I wouldn't buy this one again.

Lovely,earthy,cooling,grounded vetiver fragrance for the sweltering Indian summer. Good in longevity,though very close-to-the-skin. Do not expect great sillage from this one. It is a purely "personal" scent,and not a compliment garner.Reminds faintly of a distant cousin of TF Grey Vetiver and TDH

The opening is very similar or feels like Rasasis Oud Al Misk. Citrus opening, but then goes into that dry wood feel. I quite like this, but performance isn't the best.

For the price, it's not bad. Only that its not an easy wear, you really have to select the weather for this one. In my opinion, best worn during rain in day time.

In the same vein as Grey Vetiver, Encre Noir, Guerlain, et cetera. Nothing special, nor worth purchasing if you already own the above mentioned.

After a year, I now use this only to add wood notes to other fragrances and it works great for that. On its own, this is worthless
