Sweet, honeyed apricot liqueur. This is beautiful. Moves into a velvet orange and tonka bean vibrato. Settles down into a gorgeous foggy musk with small tendrils of patchouli and rooty Iris. And although my nose says the Iris is pretty quiet, it’s not. It’s such a subtle base note but when it’s done well, it feels substantial. Essential. Overall, this reminds me of the Fuzzy Navels my parents used to drink. I think it must be the beeswax that gives it a boozy feel. So sexy and femme. I would definitely want to nuzzle into her neck if my girl was wearing this.

Rasei Fort Ismi is one of a trio of recent releases from this perfumer/creative director of both his own named his as well as Fort & Manle. It’s a fruity, slightly fresh, sweet, spicy blend with standout notes of apricot, tea, bay leaf, saffron, neroli, and patchouli, though the full note listing is a bit longer. It almost smells like oud is involved as well, and while it’s not a listed note, I think that’s partly the effect of having some resins mixed with dark spices. I find it to be a cool weather scent that nonetheless seems like it might not be too overbearing for a summer evening, either, somewhere between playful and serious, bright and dark. Its character is not nearly as dark as the other recent entry I’ve tried, Qahwa, but it performs well, and its concentration is also extrait, with the same pricing of $250 for 30ml, available in the US via Luckyscent, Ministry of Scent, and Sealed Essence. So it’s quite pricey but I really like what Rasei has done with this fragrance. 7 out of 10

I actually like this a lot the dry down is wear it shines imo it kind of smells like tanning lotion in the opening but the dry down is sweet and sticky like honey and sugar it’s almost gourmand at the end! I think you can rock this in cold and in warm months i think it’s pretty versatile and is very unique! Leans a tad feminine but a man can totally pull this off!

Nice apricot and rose. This is really popular, toke me half a year or more to get a bottle. Well done. All three bottles are beautiful. Thinking of getting Fatih Sultan Mehmed of the Osmanli Line and Snow Leopard Tribe. Like to smell those Himalayan snows and smell like the top of the world! Was just at Mauna Kea in Hawaii.
