Now Rouge

My personal favorite and most unique in the Now line (2nd favorite would be the white one). It's unisex and very versatile. To my nose, it has the D&G K DNA but with major twists. It opens with a balsamic bergamot note, then transitions to a combo of juniper, white florals, resins, sage, and sandalwood. Overall, it's soft, fruity fresh, and creamy with a resinous touch. It's a year round scent, imo. It lasts for around 8 hours with moderate projection in the first two. Worth a sniff.

In our family, we always get a real tree for the holidays. Maybe that's been influencing me a certain way, because I've been craving a pine fragrance for a few weeks. Luckily, I've found it in Rouge! It's a gorgeous woody scent, I'm so glad I took a chance on this one ❤

Don't let the drugstore price fool you -- this punches well above its weight. It's surprisingly complex for such a cheap fragrance, a hybrid of the fresh and aromatic fougere DNAs. It's a good blend of slightly sweet, herbal, amber, floral (iris), woody and balsamic notes. The balsamic and herbal notes give a strong opening but eventually give way to a slightly sweet drydown laden with mild woody and iris notes. Both can be storng notes on their own that dominate a fragrance but in Now Rouge they are blended well into a soft and appealing finish. This is much drier than most fresh fragrances currently on the market. This should appeal to those who enjoy the fresh and aromatic fougere style of fragrances. This may lean too masculine for some female users due to the balsamic and iris notes. Performance is average, so be prepared to overspray and respray occasionally. Presentation is stylish. This is a great QPR value and very affordable. Recommended.

After it having sat on my time-out shelf for two or three months, I randomly picked this up yesterday to give it a test. Time has done this fragrance very well in my opinion. The rather simple and polarizing woody-resin scent that had earned it such a low rating for me initially has given way to something a bit more nuanced and smooth. The woody-resin heart is certainly still front and center, but it's gotten far smoother and I can even pick up on what I can only assume is the iris. This is by no means a favorite of mine even after having improved, but I can definitely see some appeal in it now. It may be best used to layer with a more fresh/floral scent to give it more depth.

it seems herbal/woody when you first spray it on, but the dry down is a gorgeous clean scent that i cant quite put my finger on, but i love it and i am a woman...mature woman

So far it is giving herbal with crushed baby aspirin. Not loving it ..not even liking. More masculine than unisex.

PAPER STRIP TEST ONLY: ...oufff. This was tough sledding. I was thrilled by the note breakdown, specifically because I’m intentionally trying more fragrances with woody, herbal & balsamic notes (all of which I love). According to this website & Lataffa’s description, NR is unisex. However, I think it’s significantly more masculine than unisex. The first 4 hours resulted in a harsh, badly blended men’s cologne with ambiguous notes. After the 4 hour mark, I can see *some* potential for masculine scent lovers. IMO that’s a long time to wait if Now Rouge will cooperate with your skin. As a devout fragrance head, I usually enjoy scents with a big personality, but this artificial mess reads as a headache waiting to happen. Yikes.

the people that said this one smells like: black AF.. EROS, BR540 and Lost cherry, are on bath salts!!!!!!!!!!!! this is a freshy more similar to Acqua essenziale salvatore ferragamo and a bit to Giorgio Armani Aqua Profumo w some leather accords and mixed with other blue freshys,, is a good one, not amazing, but good., good sileage and projection for the price.
