Wild Fire

Oh, wow... what a dreamy fragrance! This smells exactly how you'd think a fragrance called "Wild Fire" should smell. (I had just typed up a review for Raw Spirit's "Summer Rain" and was surprised at how well it matched its name. And now I'm having the experience all over again with "Wild Fire"!) Cedar and sandalwood are the clear stars of the show, here - so rich and silky. I can't tell which note it is that gives it that burning match/fire smell.. but boy. It's right on - exhilarating! You can almost see the smoke coming off of your skin. Wild Fire is earthy, raw and suggestive - perfectly unisex and distinctly seductive. Definitely check this one out!

I also don't detect anything smokey or firey. It's sandalwood with ylang and cedar, creamy dry woody and slightly sweet. I have had this one one wrist and Sandalwood Temple from Sana Jardin on the other wrist and i much prefer the later but this is nice especially seeing as i can find it for a lot cheaper than the Sana Jardin. I'm keen to layer this with something vanilla, incense, smokey, patchouli.

This one is my second favorite from their line. I get the florals and amber in the background. It has a hint of sweetness that rounds everything out. I agree with everyone saying it's not smoky. To me this is a calming sandalwood fragrance. Beautifully blended. It actually smells very niche and more expensive than it is.

Definitely not smoky. If there was such a thing as a "generic niche warm woods" scent, this would fit the bill. The scent is distinctively niche, using quality accords.

On me, this is a smoky sandalwood with some hints of floral notes. As time passes, the floral notes fade and the smoky sandalwood remains. It reminds me of what MM's By the Fireplace is like after a while, but I like Wild Fire better. I'm not totally sold on "smoky" fragrances, as I'm just not always a fan of smelling like smoke in any fashion (including incense). But if you are a sandalwood fan, this may be worth a try.

Contrary to previous reviewers this is not "wild" or "fiery" to me in the slightest. This scent is very feminine and pretty generic. It doesn't evoke images of fire at all to me, unless perhaps it is a small scented candle next to the bed at night; light and somewhat sensual in a very restrained way.

This brand was built around the distinctive and niche quality of their woody scents such as: Winter oak, Citadel, Desert Blush and this one. Raw Spirit expertly utilizes wood and vetiver for a hyper realistic, outdoorsy experience and Wild Fire is yet another good example. This is woody and smoky and it's transformative in that it takes you to another place such as a forest full of trees, or an open meadow in summer. The overall effect of this is light and transparent, so all of the notes particularly amber and cedar, can be easily detected. This leans more toward masculine to my nose. The overall effect is light, but the longevity is very good, another moniker of this brand. I personally love this kind of smell and woody notes are one of my favorites. Wood fans can blind buy this, everyone one else, try it first. You have to want to smell like wood to appreciate and enjoy this.

Wow!! I won a free sample of this, and I have to say that it's amazing!! Like the below poster said, the names match the fragrances. The sandalwood in this is divine!! Almost spicy and smoky, and probably perfect in all kinds of weather. We took a recent vacation up to Yosemite, and our lodge had an amazing shower gel. I've searched everywhere for a perfume that comes close to that beautiful piney/gingery scent, and this reminds me of it! It makes me feel happy. Everyone should check out that brand! It is interesting enough to appeal to people that stick to niche, but also wearable enough for people that prefer mainstream.

Raw Spirit calls this “warm and seductive,” though “stifling and carnal” might be more accurate– I got clubbed with thick hot amber at first spray. As I gasped for fresh air, the guy wrinkled his nose and said, “Huh. That’s really sexy.” Eventually the amber simmered down to nice dusty sandalwood--tempered with jasmine, very close to the skin--that lasted most of the day, a spot of heat on the flesh, almost like a bruise. I’d wear it for him, but I’d need some cooling sweetness–a breath of violet leaf, or maybe vanilla–to wear it for me.

I really like this smooth, natural sandalwood with a touch of soft florals. I don't detect anything "fiery" or smoky at all. This isn't necessarily a complaint since so many good smoky scents are more evocative than they are wearable. This is an eminently wearable, velvety wood. It's not an unprecedented fragrance, but the quality of the ingredients combined with the ethics of the company make this an easy scent to get behind. It's lovely.

SJP stash's rich auntie. All the good notes and none of the chemical aspects - it's great actually. Beautiful creamy sandalwood, subtle sweetness, I also get a little bit of smokiness. Love it, best of the line so far.
