Tropical Vibe

Lorenzo Pazzaglia Summer Hammer clone or 1990s women's shampoo commercial? It is very sweet and fruity. Lots of mango and pineapple initially in the open, coconut cream and white florals in the heart, with a base of somewhat musky amberwoods. The vibe I absolutely cannot shake though is it reminds me of some sort of flashback to a woman's shampoo that I smelled as a teenager. I swear that Lorenzo Pazzaglia has a bottle of Salon Selectives for inspiration because a girl in marching band used this and it's a dead ringer -- ladies please help me out, it was Salon Selectives 3 or something like that. Regardless, this is a definitely unisex (feminine leaning) and is objectively wonderful smelling, to the point where it ripped a scent memory I had from over 30 years ago. It is definitely good; I can see why people like it so much. I rated it a love as I think I can absolutely use this especially for a fresh from the shower scent.

Background: I was looking for a summer / tropical / vacation fragrance and tried Khadlaj lsland, Rayhaan Aquatica and FA Coconut Lagoon before stumbling upon this masterpiece. Opening: you get hit with a ton of sweet mango, some pineapple and a bit of coconut. Mid: the middle is still pretty sweet, this is when the floral notes start to come out. Dry down: the amber is really light and the dry down leans more creamy. Overall: This is a really good summer / tropical / vacation fragrance - it's a fragrance thats fun and not so serious. Projection is about 1.5-2 hours and lasts 5-6 hours. Its sweet but not in a cloying manner. I would say its unisex but leans slightly feminine but with the right man, clothes and occasion, you could still wear this and pull it off effortlessly. For what it is and what its priced for, you get a good value fragrance with a beautiful bottle and a magnetic cap. Definitely not blind buy safe.

I've never tried the OG Summer Hammer, so I will rate Tropical Vibe without comparing it to the OG. I blind-bought Tropical Vibe, and I am glad that I did! The opening is a mix of citrusy tropical fruits, and then dries down to a pleasant fruit salad with coconut milk. Longetivity is top-notch - lasting for more than 10 hours and can still smell good after sweating a lot in the summer. I would say that this DNA is a hidden gem and is better than "meta" fragrances like those with Aventus and Sauvage DNAs. It is mass-appealing, signature-scent worthy, and I think it is also versatile because of the gentle sweetness in the drydown that is not overpowering even in hot, humid climates. The quality of the bottle design, atomizer, and cap are added bonuses. This is an exquisite-quality fragrance with a Middle Eastern price tag. You will never go wrong with Tropical Vibe, even if you blind buy it.

This smells gorgeous for the price. It's the type of Summer tropical fragrance you can overspray and it will do no harm to anyone. It's just so enjoyable and light hearted. I'm a huge mango fan and adding pineapple to that note results in a beautiful blend, so this fragrance has become my daily scent in the shortest time. Never smelled Summer Hammer, so I couldn't tell you if it's as similar as people say. The dry-down gets kinda sunscreeny in the nicest way possible. Unfortunately, it doesn't have beast mode projection on my skin, but that might be just my problem haha. Still, it's not weak and for the performance I get like 6 hours on skin. The opening is a bit more feminine than masculine but soon after it becomes unisex, even leads slightly masculine, I'd say. You should get this if you enjoy sweet, tropical scents and you're not willing to spend much money.

I absolutely love Lorenzo Pazzaglia Summer Hammer, but paying around $250 for a 50 ml bottle isn’t for everyone. Then I discovered Tropical Vibe... and wow, this fragrance is absolutely killing it! It shares the same DNA as Summer Hammer. The original is still sweeter and a little richer, but once the opening settles, Tropical Vibe gets surprisingly close. The resemblance honestly made me look at the bottle twice especially with the color palette, which immediately reminded me of Summer Hammer. This is an incredible value for the price and one of the best alternatives I’ve smelled. I can easily see this becoming a signature fragrance for a young guy (16–21) going on a date. It’s fresh, tropical, playful, and incredibly likable. There’s a very good chance she’ll remember both you and your scent long after the date is over.

So in my previous review I said it smelt of very strong iris or to my nose very BO like. I think that was the result of both not being macerated and also the fact that pineapple mango and coconut are all fighting for power. Once it’s macerated it’s no longer BO/ iris like and more toned down but those 3 are still fighting for power and it does smell a bit like shower gel. It’s not a bad thing it smells nice. Just don’t expect a boozy fruity creamy fragrance it’s just fruity in my opinion. But I will say this layers beautifully with French Avenue Veneno Bianco. It’s been an additional couple of weeks. Opens crazy projection 70% pineapple 30% mango The Pineapple is sweet And the mango is like the bitter part if yk what im talking about very nice Then the coconut creaminess come in a bit. Ive only macerated it for 2 weeks but its already so good. This is a cool fresh sweet ripe mango beverage on a beach as a perfume. As a mango scent enjoyer i MUCH prefer this than vulcan feu because i like it sweeter (more ripe) while vulcan feu's mango is less sweet and have just a bit of sourness (leaning slightly to unripe). The only bad thing about tropical vibe is just the opening that smells like bug spray or something like that but it fades fairly quick. I might come back after a month or more because thats how i usually reviews perfumes but im impatient because just how good it is. Holy hidden gem, randomly found it on fragrantica and blind bought without hearing it from any influencer and its absolute banger.

i really liked this one. im not gonna lie but it was god damn sweet my sisters wanted to wear this more often than me but dont get me wrong it is a really fun and uplifting scent the coconut the fruity notes all are amzing. i wore this alot of times and the performance is good too it sits about 10 hours on my skin but its not that easy to wear u know if you overspray people could get headaches cuz its sweet and not that clean. it is good for summer occasions in well ventilated areas but if you get trapped in a elevator with this one you will be annoyed pretty quickly it can be worn by females too but for me it is masculin if your confident enough. really amazing one love it

I love this fragrance! Tropical, juicy and sweet with a hint of coconut. Definitely a summer scent. My bottle is new but definitely beast mode. I washed my clothes and can still get whiffs of it. Got 10 hours on my skin. It's heavy on my rotation since I got it. My friends love it on me. They keep asking what I am wearing. If you want a fresh juicy tropical scent, this is for you. Ps: it does have a bit of a salty dry down, so if you don't mind that, go for it. I give it a strong 9/10.

First days I was like it's a car air freshener. So I put it away. Yesterday was very nice sunny day so I was like I give one more try and OMG it's beautiful fragrance and sweet mango with citrus accords I love it! Longevity is good and project really good! Coconut is coming through also during the middle of the dry Down! I recommend it!

Very nice tropical scent. It reminds me of Malibu Party, but less mojito and more sunscreen/coconutty. I really love the top notes, but sadly they go away rather quickly on my skin (they do remain in clothes though). So I'm kind of weary about its longevity. At the same time it's cheap enough so maybe it's worth buying anyway.

Here comes the sun, time to get out the summer freshies and tropical vibes is all what it says. Yes it’s feminine leaning but so what, my man rocks this stuff and he’s always telling me that his female colleagues are always complimenting him. It’s getting warmer, put away those heavy scents, this is long lasting and fresh.

Opens up with sweet mango and faint coconut in the back. Suitable for hot weather or beach day. It can get too sweet and cloying. Kinda synthetic in the opening, but dries down to a fresh powdery/floral type. Overall great performance and staple for hot day.

Rayhaan cooked with this dupe and i personally think they did it alright. Is it better than the original? No, but it gets close enough. I will definitely be getting a bottle of the real thing one day.

One of the few clones that actually is almost a 1:1 entirely of its inspired scent. One of the few times I won't return for the OG due to minor differences.

If you like Dreamscape by Mykonos, you'll like this. The mango is tamer & less in your face. I adore this scent.

Generic summer fruity cologne. I don’t see an iris note but I smell iris. Overpowering iris

At first when I got this fragrance it smelled pretty 'meh'. It had smelled like a mixture of sunscreen and coconut, a lot of coconut, very synthetic and sweet coconut. After I had marinated this fragrance the smell of course improved. Now instead of mostly synthetic coconut and a bit of sunscreen type smell I can actually smell other notes like pineapple and mango, not much of it but better than before. One thing I love about tropical vibe is the rum note. It smells a lot like the same rum note in summer hammer. Unfortunately I can hardly smell this note until the fragrance settles down. Unlike the scent the performance is brilliant, maybe too brilliant. After I spray this fragrance on my clothes it lasts for weeks. Only the rum note which I love lasts that long. The rest will be somewhere between half a day to a week. Although I love this rum note it gets quite annoying when it doesn't disappear after two washes in the washing machine. The lesson learned from this is to only spray on skin. Spraying on any fabric will leave the rum note mainly on your clothes for a while. Well I guess you could spray it on clothes if you love the rum note that much. I believe you should only do one spray of this fragrance every wearing. Any more than that will have people choking when they go anywhere near you. Maybe if your going outside and not planning into going into any buildings in which there are people that would mind the smell you could sneak in 2 or 3 sprays. Overall, this fragrance is pretty good. I complain about the synthetic side of the scent but really it depends on your opinion whether you like the smell, however if you have tried summer hammer and enjoyed it do not get your hopes up too high for tropical vibe. That's what I did and I was upset the rest of the day after smelling it(not that it is bad) tropical vibe obviously does not measure up to summer hammer.

I don’t think this leans super feminine at all. I myself am a female and I blind bought this. For reference, I prefer sweeter skin/gourmands or light fresh scents. Nothing too floral or too heavy. I haven’t smelled summer hammer but I do think this is a nice summery fragrance. A little fruity but on my skin and to my nose it’s not overly juicy or fruity in a shampoo like way. Maybe I buy different shampoos than the masses but this isn’t overly fresh and juicy like a fruity shampoo is. It’s giving musky tropical vibes. It is very strong. 4 sprays was about 2 too many but I don’t mind it. I can def see this being more of a going out fragrance versus a daily for me. It opens more fruity and sweet but it mellows down more musky with a slight tropical floral vibe without reading directly floral. I think the fruit is more aromatic versus juicy. I personally can’t pick out the fruit/coconut notes specifically other than an underlying essence of that typical “mango” note you get in Arab fragrances. (Mango ice, opulent Dubai, etc) It is slightly sweet but not too sweet. I find this very unisex. I can see how this would be intense in super hot weather as it can be very strong. Almost gives tropical department store perfume vibes without being too basic. I bought this with both jungle vibe and pacific aloha. All three are in different fragrances but just for reference, jungle vibe is greener and fresher which would be better for daily wear and Pacific aloha is juicier and sweeter. If you’re male who likes tropical freshies, I think this would be unisex enough for you to risk it on. If you’re female and like a musky tropical vibe with fruity nuances, I think you’ll also like this but it is strong. Just don’t expect photo realistic juicy fruity sweetness. Skin chemistry is always the final key to all fragrances so maybe you’ll have a different experience but best of luck!

First, the bottle has a cool, rough feel to it, as the markings on it can be felt as they poke out. The atomizer is pressurized and it feels nice to spray as it smoothly pushes down with a wide range on that spray too. Out of the bottle, you get hit with strong fruity smells. Some may say that the smell is synthetic, but I think that's because it's basically the strong scents of Mango, Coconut, and Pineapple trying to fight for dominance, resulting in a smell that is very unfamiliar. By my nose, I think Mango is winning, followed by coconut, then pineapple. It has a bit of cream to it in the background, but it's more like the referee of the match. I've been testing a new shipment of cologne, and the projection here is strong to the point where it dominates over the others. It's also quite heavy to the point where it seems like this may be an outside-only scent. The fresh air may help lighten it up a bit. Doesn't seem like it will lighten up as time passes in the drydown without that. Due to that heaviness, I would even say this can be a night scent. Would be careful with how much you spray on this one. It may also change over time as maturation does its thing.

The rum smell is off-putting at first and then it starts to develop. You get a blur of fruits and then the floral start hitting. And some creaminess, and the best way I could describe it and said, I get a frangipani and passion flower with lactonic gardenia and a hybrid tea rose. The fruit is buried by the lactonic floral. Think like ambrosia salad where you smell & detect fruit but not sure what fruit your smelling. I will say the tropical flowers come in loud and clear. Even though they're like an illusion that the chemistry is creating that illusion to my nose, I am definitely getting those flowers, and the rose is so sweet. And citrusy, not jammy, but citrusy, That's why I said hybrid tea rose. They are enveloped in a lactonic gourmand note I assume comes from coconut & peach. I like it because its weird & tropical

This is a pretty solid Summer Hammer copy. Synthetic tropical mango, pineapple and coconut with woody notes underneath. The pineapple comes through more than the mango on me. Summery fruits in the way Erba Pura and Summer Hammer (and Pazzaglia in general) do so well. Lasts about 2 hours on me noticeably; about 4 hours of faint woods. Feels quite feminine, but honestly wear whatever you want. (Also: what in the TikTok influencer beast mode bullshit is all this maceration chat? Has anyone even looked up what maceration means? By all means shove your sprayed bottle into a dark cupboard and hope for magic, but we are not professional perfumers mixing oils into solvents...)

My first Rayhaan fragrance. The bergamot opening is almost astringent but the dry down is incredible. Smells like tropical punch with an Alien Goddess base. I figure this probably needs to sit and smooth out like most Arabian perfumes do,but I like it fresh out the box after the opening mellows out. The sharp bergamot blends well after about 10 mins so Im sure this will be really smooth after some time. Pleasant surprise. I really went in blind with no frame of reference and figured I should blind buy this before blind buying Summer Hammer.

I initially smelt this in a shop and the mango note was very vibrant and beautiful. But when I buy it it leads more bergamot/citrusy, I dont know if I need to let this macerate since I got this day before yesterday but I am a tad bit dissapointed that the mango note isnt that vibrant. Otherwise it is a really nice tropical fragrance, best for summer, its pretty strong and long lasting. I would rate this a 7/10 but If the maceration brings out the mango more then 8/10.

I was a bit disappointed at first, as it kinda reminded me of a tropical Air Freshener or a Tropical Fruit Mix scented shampoo. There's a powdery note in there that reminds me of CIty of Stars, that pushes it into lotion/suntan territory. The first spray I hated on it, but it's growing on me. I'm not sure whether it's worth the $50 I spent on it quite yet. I wouldn't write it off at first sniff because the dry down smooths out beautifully compare to the opening.

as bjpca mentioned, the first thing that you get is a blast of fruits, like a ripe mango or maybe the pineapple, idk really know which one stands out more, but what i can say is that it isnt bad or synthetic as people claim it to be, it just smells similar to a lot of generic fruity fragrances, like Tender Amber , Amber Oud Gold Edition, in that same category.As it dries down it gets creamier which i really enjoy.Overall 8/10 considering the price

#1752 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Blind bought this. Perfectly happy with this super nice tropical beach scent. But I already know a girlfriend is going to abscond with it in the morning as soon as she smells it. I like King of Kings "Chapter 1” better, but it runs $80 and with a coupon I got this from Jomashop for $29. So if the girlfriend steals this in the morning I’ll re-order it. Imo it's good but just impossible to wear. Like it's esp in hotter places like it's not airy at all. So like it's very very obvious your wearing. It's synthetic ig you could say. Not rlly photorealistic mango. It's just for a summer fragrance it's js not airy at all so just impossible to wear imo.

It's definitely fruity right off the top. I love the opening but not so much the mid as it's a little too floral for me. I don't get any coconut. It lasts a good six hours and projects quite well. Overall I would say it's very fruity and fresh, more for younger people. Like it don't love it.

Never smell the OG, a little too sweet for My preferences, smells like tropical fruit syrup or shampoo great performance & projection unisex but leaning a little bit to feminine syntetic opening but blended smoothly,9 Im not detecting any cheap alcohol in the opening

This is not a safe blind buy if you don’t like unisex fragrances IMO. This means feminine to me and while I like the dry down au don’t know if I can pull this off. I may let it sit until summer and see but this was a miss for me right now. I don’t think this is worth the hype a lot of people are saying it is. I also never smelled what this is supposed to be similar to but again leans feminine but the dry down saves it for me to give it a try later Update 5/30 This does get better if you let it sit. But still leans a little feminine for me and can’t see my self wearing it. Low 3/5. Agin this I think was overhyped.

Was in search of a mango dominant scent since I loved Polo Black in my 20s and I wanted something even more mango focused. This is opens strong with a sweet mango juice smell and a lot of amber. It stays that way for an hour booming off my skin. An hour Iater and the vetiver base is revealed and makes this more palatable to an old guy like me. By hour 5, it's gone. Great scent for someone young at heart who loves fruity sweet scents.

Bought this thinking it would be a nice fruity fragrance. I read the sunscreen reviews, but I thought it was gonna be fine. As a guy who wears some feminine gourmands this is too feminine for me. It reminds me of my mom’s perfume but more fruity. Very powdery, literally just fruity perfume. Might have to give this to her as a Mother’s Day gift. If you are a guy I don’t recommend this to you with all due respect. Good scent 7/10.

I'm still in between a rating of 4 or 3 out of 5. I love the opening of the fragrance. A nice mix of tropical fruits with a bit more of mango. That fades too quick for me and then it becomes some kind of floral scent to me. That is on my skin. The dry down I like when it becomes ambery and musky. For now a 3,5 out of 5

To me it just smells like sunscreen. The synthetic coconut note overtakes everything else basically. Not a fan, im probably going to sell it.

Unsure why this is voted as a unisex fragrance? For me it leans heavily towards feminine. A single spray was more than enough to get a full wearing out of this - performance is absolutely nuclear. The sillage is massive, leaving a thick scent trail that lingers in the air, and longevity easily pushes well into all-day territory. The opening is an intense burst of syrupy, tropical sweetness very much a high-impact, almost candied accord that leans heavily into gourmand territory. It’s loud, dense, and immediately attention-grabbing, but also verges on cloying depending on your tolerance for sweetness. As it transitions into the dry down, it smooths out slightly, with the sharper edges softening into a more rounded, blended sweetness. That said, the core DNA doesn’t shift dramatically it remains firmly rooted in that rich, sugary profile throughout the wear. This isn’t a subtle composition or a versatile daily driver. It’s a statement scent with serious projection and presence perfect if you want to be noticed, but potentially overwhelming in close quarters or warmer conditions. For my taste, it leans a bit too far into that ultra-sweet, almost saccharine territory, which limits its wearability. I’ve got a 100ml bottle (sprayed once) that I’ll be moving on it’s just not something I see myself reaching for. Overall: Beast-mode performance, room-filling sillage, and a bold gourmand profile but definitely one for lovers of heavy sweetness

fragrance is very sweet. rather linear, with almost no changes throught the day. performance is great, one spray on my hand lasted abt 6 hours, which was very surprising. cannot smell anything other than a mango, a powdery one at that. decent but not my favourite. very feminine, but still wearable for men. if ur looking for a more manly and less headache inducing fragrance, i suggest rayhaan aquatica. 7/10

I never tried the original one (Summer Hammer) so cannot comment on how similar they are. But I bought other scents from Rayhaan that I liked (Aquatica & Jungle Vibe) so I gave it a try. It’s a sweet mango scent, I expected to smell more coconut but I find it a bit cloying. It reminds me of those kid perfumes that are overly sweet and fruity. I’ll try to layer it with other perfumes, but it’s not for me.

Definitely gave into the hype and blind bought this. Not a smart choice for me. Super feminine leaning, and almost screechy. Personally i prefer my citruses and didn't like how the coconut mixed with the harsh alcoholy opening. Reminded me of walking by a girl's perfume stand at a mall. Not my favorite and should've sampled first. 5.5/10

i sampled it and i really dont like it to be honest, it comes off as very synthetic screechy floral mango shampoo or body wash. i get no coconut or anything else, a musky floral mango shampoo. not a bad smell but i wouldnt want to smell like it... or anyone else smelling like it quite frankly

I don't understand the people that voted this unisex, this is FEMININE 100%, also I don't smell any of the three fruits, just some basic sweet smell from the women shelves at douglas.
