The Fragrance Duo (Russell's Blend)

I've had my eye on these two since it's release. The bottles are so unique, i had to have this in my collection. "R" is, indeed, very sexy. It's a masculine fruity fragrance, which some guys shy away from in fear of smelling feminine or not masculine enough. But "R" gives a perfect dose of fruitiness while still remaining masculine. Upon first spray, i get a fresh blend of Bergamot, Pear Blossom and Black Tea. It's an unusual combo. It's different from any other cologne I've smelled, but seductive, nonetheless. That Pear Blossom calms after about 10 minutes and the Bergamot is accompanied by a blend of Vetiver and Lavender, transforming it into a fresh scent. As this dries down, there's some Musk and a hint of Ambroxan, but no Patchouli to my surprise. "R" last about a 5 hours on my skin with 3+ feet of projection within the first 2 hours of wearing it. Overall, this fragrance alone is definitely worth a try. I think it's a safe gift for that special. You can't really go wrong with fresh, fruity and sexy. Fresh and slightly masculine. Cold. I can detect most of the notes. It's more complex than the counterpart fragrance. But again, it's kind of generic and doesn't feel like anything new. If you collect fragrances you have probably smelled this before.

Musk, light florals, and definitely tea and pachouli. Synthetic and unisex but fresh enough to almost work in higher heat. Personally this is my least favorite of the three R&C releases with the Gold and Black versions - warmer and more complex. All three inexpensive when purchased from resellers - snag em now before they disappear and triple in price on eBay.

I do enjoy this scent alongside Ciara’s, but both don’t necessarily have a “unique” scent to them. I feel like i have smelled his before somewhere else. I’m going to try mixing the two and see how it turns out.
