I didn’t like this when I first smelled it, but I had a feeling it was one of those fragrances that you needed to let macerate and revisit later. It’s love at second sniff. The opening starts with a sweet and mildly spicy cream, and then it blossoms into a beautiful caramel and tonka bean. The musk and sandalwood is present, but it plays nicely in the background so it doesn't overpower the sweetness of the fragrance. Whenever a sweet vanilla and caramel fragrance hits the market, there are comparisons to Bianco Latte and/or Escapade Gourmande. While there are some similarities, Flan is not another BL or EG dupe. The sharpness of the milk cream makes Flan more lactonic than other vanilla/caramels.

I went to the store to buy another perfume and got a sample of this. Now I can't stop smelling myself it smells so good. Literally smells like a flan! The milky custard and the oozy caramel. Edit: Bought it! 😄

This is sweet, but I almost get a patchouli/wood undertone although patchouli isn’t listed. This isn’t a safe blind buy if you’re looking for a straight up gourmand flan. They do offer sample sizes which is great!
