Alexandros

Not a light sweet fluffy vanilla more a deep balsamic vanilla. The first thing that hits me is the incense and leather. The cinnamon is dusty and not heavy. The jasmine is definitely there and slightly soapy if you as me. I do not get any licorice note as someone else mentioned. This brand is very old school Italian. I have several of their offerings and have never been disappointed. So well blended and the best ingredients. Sillage is more then a skin scent and less then a bomb. Alexandros lasts a very long time. I am wearing this in the summer but this is the kind of fume I could see being best in the fall.

Not sure how this can be unisex; it's heavy on the leather and I didn't like it at all; it seems to have a licorice note (unlisted) in amongst the leather and powder; no detectable vanilla, no detectable ylang. I can detect some cinnamon, some cedar, but it seems like a big pot of dark scents, none of which combine in a pleasant way. Fragrance being so subjective, it could of course be me. Sorry! 2/10

Re Profumo is a relatively unheard of niche house which deserves far more recognition than is given. Alexandros was the first fragrance from this house to cross my path, and what an exquisite fragrance it is. Vanilla fragrances are admittedly something I tend to avoid. From my own personal experience, vanilla-dominant fragrances tend to feature a synthetic, saccharine sweet accord that I find more and more off-putting the older I become. I was hesitant to try Alexandros at first, however, the sales assistant insisted that I give it a fair chance. She was right to encourage me. Alexandros is a vanilla fragrance which smells more balsamic than sweet. It's a vanilla scent for grown-ups, similar to other well-known niche vanilla fragrances such as Le Labo's Vanille 44 Paris and Annick Goutal's Vanille Exquise. Of all the fragrances I tested on the day, Alexandros was the one scent I kept returning to. On the skin, Alexandros is extremely comforting and delectable; the perfect blend of vanilla, cinnamon, ylang-ylang, and incense. If you're seeking a beautiful, creamy and naturally sweet vanilla scent, go no further than the fascinating Re Profumo Alexandros. I also highly recommend trying their entire range.

More into the ylang, jasmines, and patchouli side than sweet. The sweetness is mild and came quite pleasing with the blend as the ylang and soft jasmines are creating floral mix. The patchouli is kept minimal beside the cedar, & the leather. Quite balsamic floral then sweet blend. Amusing.

This is absolutely glorious. My signature scent. Deep, enveloping, rich and scrumptious.... a hidden masterpiece...
