Superuomo

Superuomo Re Profumo is one of my very first purchased when I started my journey into Niche perfumery. At that time I relied on my first impression on a taster paper. It smelled really good, -on paper. I bought it and then tasted it on my skin (amateur error) when I arrived home. What I got on my skin shocked med. It smelled like synthetic cleaner (due to mix of citruses notes I supposed). Again, my first amateur reaction was – this is awful – what a waste of money. I then washed it out without giving it the chance to develop. So I just leaved it behind – forgotten. I even considered giving it away – selling it or something. Then one day not long ago, looking at this forgotten child, I felt pity on it and decided to give it another chance. This time I will see how it will develop. I will repeat a cliché. I just love niche perfumery. OMG, the way it developed. A creamy citruse (might be the mix of Cardamom – Musc and honey?) I am wearing now while I am working at home. I cannot stop smelling myself. I is just so elegant – and comforting at the same time. And on my skin – even if this might sound ludicrous – the very end of the dry down reminds me of Ivory Route by Xerjoff. But on my clothes it maintains it own identity. So dynamic, no at boring perfume at all I am now sooo happy that I bought this Jewel. Another great example of the art of Niche. On my skin and clothes the longevity is very long lasting and the sillage moderate.

I can’t stop sniffing my wrist, this stuff is amazing and it’s a shame it only has 3 reviews with 1 being negative This is quality and you can pick it as soon as it hits your nose you know that while it’s ecoensuve it’s money well spent. You certainly will get noticed and you won’t smell like anyone around you. I would probably take 1 of the notes out to make this a perfect all year scent but as it is, it’s a solid 8.5/10

No idea what the last comment is about, there's no leather at all in this beautiful fragrance

First the citrus notes, then a mixture of something quite unpleasant (the cardamom and myrtle?) for a couple of minutes, than back to citrus again, finishing with a light musky-waxy skin scent. No longevity, and that short burst of real unpleasantness means 0/10. :(

Superuomo-Superfiasco. Smells like a spoiled child’s dream and a waste of time. There’s a waxy medicinal type smell in the opening that is really harsh. The dry down is better. It smells better on paper like someone has already said, the longevity is not great so when it starts smelling nice and interesting, it’s almost gone. Will leave it to rest and see what happens but again, compared to so many other good fragrances, the experience with this one for now it’s been very frustrating. Unnecessary. Will give it another go in a couple of months. Edit: after months, nothing changed. It suggests melancholy, images of someone’s unsuccessful attempts, men that have not yet found their way or place. Sold it.
