Rebecca Minkoff

Wow, I've been working on this one for a couple of days now. To begin, it's a gorgeous scent. But how it unfolds is very interesting and seems to be dependent on several factors: temperature, humidity and pH. Also upon examining it closer, there are some wonderfully unique notes that appear dependent on the above circumstances. I found this at TJ Maxx in an open box, so I tried it in the store. I sprayed it on the cardboard of the box and was kinda meh on how the scent unfolded. It was very sharp at first and stayed very crisp and acrid on the paper. On skin it behaves entirely different: still opens sharp with green notes but while the notes listed are cardamom and coriander, I can't help but notice a very strong anise note. This licorice vibe and the bergamot are very sharp when anchored by the leather and tonka. At first spray I wasn't sold but figured it was worth the purchase based on the Reminds Me Of bar. Anyway, as this scent dried down the creamiest of woods emerged and presented in a very sexy yet very daytime wearable fragrance. The temperature and humidity really do elevate this especially with projection: yesterday was 75 and sunny in South Florida and I was able to get wafts of this off of my arm for hours. There are two noses on this fragrance and Rodrigo Flores-Roux is behind some of my favorite perfumes of all time: Tom Ford Neroli Portofino and Clinique Happy, so I was surprised and impressed to see him behind this one as well. I'm surprised by the below review that describes this scent as smelling druggy -- I barely get any tobacco notes here, what is apparent on my skin is so well blended that it just seamlessly presents alongside the patchouli and leather. A very strong cigarette tobacco scent would be Amethyst by Elizabeth and James. That is truly a fresh Gauloise or a pouch of American Spirit. Here I really don't get any cannabis or cigarette vibes whatsoever. It does remind me a bit of Kat Von D Sinner (2017 bottle) which is a nod to YSL Black Opium and does have elements of Mugler's Alien which I guess comes down to smoky patchouli. I think this is a safe buy if you enjoy woodsy patchoulis but totally office safe unless you work with a bunch of prudes who go into anaphylactic shock if they smell anything stronger than copier paper.

A lovely lady reviewer sent me a box of samples and among them was Rebecca Minkoff. I was in love at first sniff. Heavy tobacco isn't alluring to me, but this one has the softest hint of tobacco that reminded me of my late uncle's pipe smoke wafting through the room. Everything about it is just soft. It smells heavenly on my skin, not sweet, but tobacco with some warmth and a hint of spice. I find I really love spicy vanilla and tonka fragrances. It does not list vanilla, but I get some of that. Longevity is okay, no more than 4 hours, I guess, maybe layering with an oil or body cream would hold the scent longer. After using the gifted sample almost up, I have ordered a full bottle of it. I know some say it's a winter fragrance, but it is such a soft warmth, not overbearing in any aspect, seems to me it could be worn year-round unless you live where temps exceed 100*. That's me, the woman wearing what many would think are wholly inappropriate heavy gourmands in summer, LOL. This is not that, however, not heavy in any way, shape or form, not super sweet and not a teenager's fragrance, IMO. This is just very pleasant and I'm becoming more and more picky in what I purchase these days. Got this at Walmart online, if you can believe it, for a $38 for the largest bottle. I do not live near any store where I can sniff fragrances (rural mountains), only have a very crappy TJ Maxx in the next town that has almost nothing fragrance-wise so almost everything is a blind buy, but I wasn't unhappy paying more than my usual (yes, that is high for me, never paid more than that for any fragrance, frugal here), but at least this was not a blind buy and I know I will love it and use it. Later: I have been wearing this a lot this summer. It's just so lovely. I have found that it layers beautifully with the inexpensive Cremo Spice & Black Vanilla which is marketed to men and has a nice tobacco note as well along with cardamom, cashmeran and vanilla.

Wow, this is so nostalgic for me - I love it. It takes me to the 90s when I was a young adult, waiting tables, hanging out with my bartender boyfriend, making it on my own. Not that this smells like a 90s scent - it doesn't at all! I keep my little vintage mini of Tresor in a memory box for that. With this one it's the soft combination of notes plus tobacco that are so evocative of a different time in my life. (Several have said below that they don't smell the tobacco, which is interesting because for me it is there and in the best way.) When I close my eyes I go back in time. I am walking, in my biker boots, through crunchy autumn leaves to my boyfriend's apartment, a chill in the air. We both worked late, made money last night and we're going to go to brunch. He's waiting for me with a lit cigarette and a pack of Marlboro reds. We'll have coffee. Then a few beers as the day melts back in to evening. We're both off tomorrow so it doesn't really matter what we do. "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star plays at the bar we've moved on to. And "Round Here", by the Counting Crows. I do wish this scent lasted longer - I'll overspray and reapply a lot to keep it going, and try layering it with the Living Lalique body lotion I picked up recently, which gives me a similar vibe. Maybe I'll spray it on the inside of one of my jackets this November. I really, really love this. Edit / Addition, January 2024: Just felt like publicly reaffirming my love for this fragrance! It has become a great fall-back option for me for everyday wear this winter. When I don't know what to wear, I often choose this and enjoy it every time. It is very versatile. I had blind-bought the much-loved Stash, but it didn't work for me (which surprised me, I thought I'd love it). Rebecca Minkoff is similar, but softer and more gentle. On me, it is more feminine than Stash. The more I wear it, the more I love it! Highly recommend - and so very affordable!

This is a very nice, light year round scent, I immediately loved it at first sniff! Received a little sample with a perfume order from Macy’s, sprayed it a couple of times on my wrist and went right back online to purchase a full bottle! If you’re looking for a power house, this one may not be for you. I own many strong perfumes, but this one is just lovely! Sits close to the skin, projection as well as longevity are on the moderate to lower end of the spectrum. But this one is perfect for intimate settings, very light and safe. Plus since I’ve been working from home for the past year, there are days where I prefer something a little less intense. (Yes, I wear perfume everyday even though I barely leave my house 😂) I don’t get much of the bergamot in the beginning, and the tobacco scent is somewhat present, I do sense a bit of the jasmine, but the tonka bean and patchouli are really prominent in the dry down on my skin, with just a touch of the leather. I feel like the listed notes are pretty well balanced, I could definitely see this being somewhat of a unisex scent. If they ever come out with an Intense version, I’m definitely getting it!!

Rebecca Minkoff is, to my nose, mostly a soft jasmine scent, after a warm cardamom + tobacco opening (but the tobacco is subtly in the background, too, throughout the fragrance). While it does bear a resemblance to Banana Republic Tobacco & Tonka, that one smells more strongly of tobacco, and also features a rich plum note; RM is far more softly floral than that. In its floral jasmine heart, it bears a resemblance to Black Opium, and Fine'ry dupe, Midnight Cafe, though their openings are quite different -- RM is cardamom/tobacco and MC is sweet, milky coffee. Overall, Rebecca Minkoff is a warm and beautiful fragrance, lightly cocooning and never overwhelming, as appropriate for warm weather as for cool. The one thing I'm not sure about, however, is its longevity. It could be that I'm trying too many things at once, in order to compare fragrances, and RM -- being a somewhat gentle scent -- is getting lost in the shuffle... Incidentally, I found a big 3.4 mL bottle in the cheap scents section of Marshall's for $20; it's definitely worth grabbing a bottle if you see one!

A light, fresh floral tobacco perfume. Really nice with an everyday versatility. Summertime tobacco and leather. Beautiful and feminine. Smooth, not rugged. Bottle is beautiful with a weighted cap. My only issue right now is that the longevity seems really poor (2 hrs). RM is so soft and stays close to the skin. This is such a beautiful perfume that I'm willing to be patient with it. I've never experienced such a translucent leather and tobacco. I'll have to report back when the humidity isn't as high. Today was 90F and Rebecca Minkoff might be better for transitional seasons. EDIT: I wore this perfume this evening when the temperature was 70F, low humidity. It performed very well. Lasted all evening, through dinner and drinks. Much better performance in transitional weather. Probably not substantial enough for cold or hot weather. Very similar to STASH by SJP but Stash performs very well.

The initial spray is addicting, sweeter than I imagined but spiced in an almost licorice way. As it dries down it mellows and more of the sweet tonka/leather/tobacco notes stick around. It's 'masculine' in the note selection but it's done in a soft sweet way that makes it more feminine. From my perspective at least, as someone who prefers unisex or masculine scents. It's not super strong either and stays close to the body, so if this scent profile is something you enjoy but are a little hesitant to wear, this might be a good place to start. I agree with the Carmex comparison, not sure what note that's coming from. Either way I like it, adds a freshness without being sharp. I really only wish it lasted longer, but at least it's on the affordable side so I don't feel guilty reapplying a few times a day.

There it is again one of my favorite notes cardamom, I seem to gravitate towards it. This fragrance being designer has a niche quality. It’s one of my favorites and I feel almost like it’s my signature scent. I will still wear this in the spring because it’s not super screechy with the notes listed. It come of soft on my skin and takes such a beautiful floral smell as it settles. In the drydown the florals come out and i can smell the jasmine and it makes this very soft mixing with the other notes. Longevity starts strong and then softens into a close to skin. I put it on last night sand I can still smell it this morning. Tobacco is smooth in this not spicy at all. I do recommend this 10/10 it does sit close to skin after 4 hours but you can smell it when you move.

DON’T BE FOOLED by the cute pink bottle with its light juice. For the longest time, I saw it on the shelf at Winners, and it didnt attrack me at all. Yesterday, I saw a small bottle for 20$ in the discounted rack and grab it, why not. OMG! This is gorgeous. Too bad we’re in summer right now but will keep it preciously until fall 🍁🍂 I tried R. Minkoff vs Jazz Club on both wrist and it is not similar. The fragrance reminds me a lot more of Whisper in the Library by MM. Sweeter (vanilla), less smooky, more rich. For the fragrance, it’s warm, spicy, unisex. A vanilla, ambery, woody juice. Tobacco is not in your face. Also, the bottle is beautiful and sturdy. It smells expensive. It has caracter. It’s bold and rich. Will update my review next fall 🍁 Well done Rebecca 💙

Today I used a sample of this fragrance for the first time. It’s cool and rainy out. This perfume is warm and cosy, more interesting than my Nirvana Amethyst. While my nose is not as sophisticated as others’, I can tell that there’s a lot going on - many notes - and they work together in harmony. Longevity is about three hours with intimate sillage. For today, it’s perfect. This perfume will be perfect for cool and cold weather, is perfectly unisex, and I keep catching it in the air as I move. So cosy I just sprayed on more for bed. Don’t be fooled, though. This perfume is likely to make people want to get a little bit closer if you know what I mean. Already ordered a full bottle. I’m that impressed.

A lovely, well-blended fragrance currently on TJMaxx shelves for ~$12. Gossamer-sheer iteration of scents like MAC Velvet Teddy, Nirvana Amethyst, TF Tobacco Vanille. Reminds me of Kate Walsh Boyfriend more than anything else but not as dense. Given the price, I expected it to vanish from skin after 30 minutes, but it remained satisfyingly present for hours. Not a room filler and I'm grateful. A summer-wearable, office appropriate, ambery tobacco scent is a rare find. Really pleased with this purchase, highly recommend. P.S. If you find reformulated Versace Crystal Noir lacks the spice it once carried, try layering it with Rebecca Minkoff. Fantastic combo.

It's a YES for me! I absolutely, positively love this fragrance and cannot wait to get me hands on a larger bottle. On my skin, the cardamom and coriander give off a warm, spicy aroma. I get the vanilla, a little tobacco and woodiness, some tonka bean, amber and patchouli. The patchouli gives off a sharpness that I do not care for - as things dry down, the sharpness becomes mild and eventually undetectable, for me. The vanilla and patchouli give me amber; the vanilla and amber give me a light powdery smell...I just LOVE it! I do see how this may be unisex to some. It is sweet, but not in an overly girly, total florally kind of way.

I really enjoy this perfume, and from what I have it is my favorite. It's warm, not egregiously sweet, and is to me easy to wear. I feel that most would prefer it for fall/winter or evening but I wear it as a signature scent. Tobacco can turn to pencil shavings on me, but I feel that the other notes like the tonka + cardamom and the overall composition keep it more smoky and on the sweeter, softer side. It made me realize my love for cardamom and tonka in perfumes and right now you can get it pretty cheap since I believe its discontinued (sadly). It gives effortless cool girl vibes and I am on the hunt for something similar.

Totally agree with other reviewers that they NEED to make an intense version. This is a beautiful fragrance. It has a beautiful tobacco note that gives off a little bit of a honey vibe to me. The florals are very pretty and the whole composition is very well blended. It is not your typical floral perfume. It’s like wearing your hubby’s old shirt with remnants of his tobacco fragrance lingering on it mixed with your floral perfume you wore the previous day. It’s very soft but I do get whiffs of it throughout the day. It’s definitely worth reapplying and lasts a little longer on clothes.

I've owned this Rebecca Minkoff EDP for 3 years and it has become one of my most treasured perfumes. In the beginning, I thought that it was an interesting but very soft tobacco perfume. Years later, it has become an ever present, timeless, sultry and classy perfume that satisfies any occasion. It fits in that category of unisex perfumes like Stash, Nirvana Black, Boyfriend etc that is a pillar in your collection but rarely mentioned. I am happy to secure a refill bottle at a super cheap price. In 20 years or so, this perfume will become a collectible. Thoroughly enjoying it.

Love this. Spicy, rich. Unisex, yes. Posh and grown up! Here is a tip. Get the oil perfumery impression oil of Tobacco Vanille ($15?) which is magnificent by itself, and use it as a base for this perfume and you will extend its life for 6+ hours and add a whole new dimension to the rich vanillic, leathery spice train that is so divine here! Edit: now this goes powdery weird on me. Not reliable with my skin chemistry at the moment, but hopeful my nose or skin will come back around. I’m suspicious that once my nose disapproves there’s no turning back! Oh well

Smells very niche to me. The note of cardamom is sometimes used too heavy handed in niche perfumes, but it's blended to perfection here! What a pleasant surprise! I have more testing to do but I'm pretty sure I'll be picking up a bottle! EDIT: Unfortunately the performance is poor. I sprayed heavily (10 sprays) and got around 4-5 hours of proper wear time. 1 hour of good performance. The scent is a 10/10 for me so just as another reviewer mentioned, I sincerely hope they come out with an intense version soon!

Blind buy from Marshall’s for a work christmas party and used it almost everyday after - polished spicy yet smokey start with a distinct yet inoffensive slightly masculine tonka dry down. The jasmine really pulls everything together and adds popular familiarity. She’s just so put together. The bottle is also nicely shaped and pretty heavy. This perfume makes me want to buy a purse for the first time in my life... and RM just happens to sell purses. Considering repurchasing after writing this I miss her sm.

Finally! A warm tobacco scent I can wear every day! I pick up patchouli, tobacco, jasmine, vanilla (even though it’s not listed). Minimalist bottle, decent projection...sadly it doesn’t last on my skin but for the price, I can’t complain! I have a few back up bottles so I’m good for now. Not to be dramatic but I might cry if this gets discontinued. It’s an affordable hidden gem & my signature fragrance <3 <3

I was not expecting to see these notes at all... Upon first spray, I got some thing, soft, feminine, and powdery... It’s weird. Once I saw the notes, I started to notice the spice and tobacco... But it is nothing like tobacco vanille. More like, volutes with that soft, fuzzy, cozy, Amber mixed with a feminine powdery BabyWipe, or something with cashmere and soft powder. It’s really pretty for a cheap sent.

This is such an easy reach for me. The spices and suede are beautifully blended then gently muted by the tonka bean. The tobacco here is soft and dry. The coriander seems to pull the whole composition together. It smells absolutely luxurious. Even though its overall performance is weak, it settles into a delicious skin scent that makes it my go-to office fragrance.

I was incredibly saddened when Elizabeth & James discontinued their nirvana black perfume many years ago, however, incredibly happy to have this replacement as this was the closest I could find to Nirvana black. They are not identical, with Rebecca Minkoff having much more tobacco and tonka bean but I'm very happy that this is still around for purchase.

Omg this is extremely gorgeous! Very sensual and seductive, many many compliments from men on this one ! Is soft and fuzzy like a cashmere sweater, reminds me of home , I do feel is very similar to Hilary Duff but not as cloying as the Hilary . I found a $24 30 ml at Winners and am ordering a 100ml back up because I love it that much

The initial spray is kinda abrasive and irritating, after it dries down it's very light and feminine. Reminds me A LOT of the discontinued nirvana and james black but with less of a vanilla/amber scent. Very lovely and complex smell for $20 on ebay and I've been pairing it with VS' tease cream cloud to make it sweeter

I am enjoying this fragrance! The tobacco is smooth and the jasmine is soft and elegant. It is a settled fragrance, yet well balanced. It makes me feel secure and intelligent! It is unissex in my opinion. It has a touch of sweetness, sufficient to make the scent soft. I am loving it!

I really love this perfume!! The first tobacco perfume I fell in love with was Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. Rebecca Minkoff reminds me of a lighter version of that. TV is definitely heavier and richer, while RM is more intimate. There is something very alluring about this scent.

This reminded me so much of something else but I couldn't put my finger on what...then I realized, it is Vanilla Fields without the vanilla! Anyway, it is absolutely intoxicating and I am completely in love.

Light and fresh, and gone in a flash. I get very soft, "medium-sweet," woody tobacco and that's about it before it fades away in an hour. for me, i'd have to overspray to enjoy it.

The opening is all over the place, but the dry down smells exactly like the humidor room in a liquor store in the summer when the AC is running full blast. Big love.

To my nose, this is very reminiscent to the 2010 Kate Walsh release of Boyfriend, which I owned and loved.

A fairly unique and quite affordable bottle! Personal: 7.5/10 – Sweet tobacco, leather, and fruity spices. I like it, but I don't love it. The spiciness is a complexity that I don't love. Mass appeal: 7.5/10 – Sweet leathery fragrances are approachable in small doses, though the tobacco, leather and spice mix can be divisive. Performance: 6/10 – Remarkably poor for something sweet and spicy. Value: 8/10 – This one is often available at very affordable prices, and for that it’s a great deal. Smells far more expensive than it is, at the expense of longevity. Uniqueness: 7/10 – Fruity-sweet tobacco/leather is a familiar designer-style DNA. It’s nice, but not groundbreaking. Props for the spicy floral twist. SCORE: 72/100 Full bottle buy? NO, it’s pleasant, but not something I’d reach for often despite the price tag. Blind buy? YES, since it’s inexpensive and likable, though the spicy tobacco vibe isn’t for everyone. Recommend? YES, especially as a budget-friendly intro to sweet tobacco-leather fragrances. Date night? YES, sweet, slightly seductive, and cozy enough to work. Office safe? YES, if sprayed lightly. It’s polished and not too loud, and the florals tone down the darkness of the leather and tobacco. Pros: Very affordable, well-blended for the price, nice sweet-tobacco twist with spice and florals. Cons: A little generic, leans plasticky at times, not super unique. Rebecca Minkoff is one of those hidden gem designer releases. For the price, it’s an impressive, cozy sweet tobacco and vanilla fragrance with a smoothly polished floral leather edge. I think it leans much more heavily floral than anything else, and it's more just the spices, leather, and sweetness that wrap themselves around the main character, the jasmine. It's very loud, proud, and beautiful, but you have to really *love* jasmine to love this fragrance. It's a great bottle for the price, but you have to enjoy slightly spicy leather, and you have to *really* love jasmine and floral characteristics in fragrances. As others here have done, I bought the 15ml travel spray at Marshall’s. Based on the notes, I should’ve loved it. Unfortunately, this was a fragrance I found repellant. I’m working under the assumption that the mini bottle went bad, as this brought to mind my time as a smoker. Specifically, this smells like a sniped cigarette (a half smoked one saved for later, different than a butt) that was smoked in the rain, and placed in a leather purse for later. I quit smoking years ago. Regaining my sense of smell led me to fragrance collecting. This is literally the antithesis of what I want to smell like. There is a smokey tobacco note in Jazz Club that reminds me of Rebecca Minkoff, and that’s a hard pass for me as well. So yeah, that mini bottle smelled like a night of partying coupled with a morning of regret. Sold it on. Edit 4/13/23: I saw the fragrance mist at a discounters and smelled the cap so I could smugly think to myself that “I’ve got SUCH a great nose, and this scent is drivel” only to discover I was so wrong. This is pretty vanilla/ amber with sweet moist tobacco and aromatic tonka. Hate to love for me. Bought the mist and then had to have a 1oz, as well. The mist has a bit more vanilla, lasts about an hour alone. Layering both is still a close sillage, but enough to keep me happy. BTW- I’m sure that 15ml I first sampled was rank. Maybe if I’d cleared the nozzle and tried again I would’ve been rewarded!

I didn't expect to like this at all based on the listed notes, but it does smell good to me, much sweeter than I was expecting. My first impression of it was cedar, although cedar isn't listed in the notes. The opening was just like leaning over an open cedar chest, but mixed with something sweet. After a little while it becomes less woody/spicy and more creamy/sweet, although that cedar vibe is still there for me. I think the notes I get the most past the opening are probably the tobacco & tonka bean. Tobacco is the main note I expected to dislike here, but I'm finding nothing to dislike. I'm not familiar with amyl salicylate, but if it's supposed to smell like "unripe bananas", I don't get that at all. I also don't get the jasmine distinctly, but I imagine it's part of the sweetness. This is much more sensual and cozy feeling than I thought it would be, almost like a sweet musk, but with a spicy edge. Definitely one of the most surprising fragrances I've ever sampled, and a real eye opener in terms of not writing off certain notes until I smell them in a composition. I wish it wasn't just named after the designer; a perfume this good should have its own identity. But because of this, now I want to explore more tobacco fragrances!

This is the tobacco scent that's gotten me hooked on tobacco scents. I'd never encountered a feminine-smelling one before trying this last year and it was a revelation! Unlike any perfume I've ever owned or worn in my life. This is sweet, soft, spicy, sexy, and sophisticated. It may just be the sample I have, but I do find it seems to need a few minutes to settle after spraying, because the very beginning can be a bit harsh, but then it's beautiful. It's not my "holy grail" tobacco fragrance (I like my perfumes to have real names, for one thing, and not just be named after their designers!), but I felt I owed this one another review for sending me on a new and exciting leg of my perfume journey. I can see this working equally well for work or an evening out. Most people will probably like this better in cool weather, but I think I would wear it any time of year. The tobacco isn't very distinct to me- blended as it is with the tonka bean- which is another reason there are already a couple of other tobacco scents I prefer now, but this is still pretty yummy too. I'll definitely be using up the rest of the sample!

This and Nirvana Black by Elizabeth and James are very similar. I have one spray of each on my hands. At first,Nirvana black has a fruity sweetness and Rebecca Minkoff is more of a powdery sweetness but unless you do a side-by-side comparison, it’s hard to tell the difference. As they both dry down, they smell more alike. I don’t smell any of the tobacco mentioned in the ingredients, so, if you are a fan of that note, you might be a little disappointed, but it still smells nice. A fragrance that comes to mind that’s in the same vein that does smell like tobacco is Seductive Noir by Guess. Unlike RM, it has no mention of tobacco in the ingredients but it’s there to my nose. My grandfather smoked a pipe and it reminds me a lot of that smell. Also grew up near several tobacco farms and I love the sweet smell of tobacco curing. Anyone who was a big fan of Nirvana Black (discontinued )would likely be satisfied with this fragrance as a replacement.

Very beautiful! But it has it's flaws. The first spray is a bit alcoholic, but after a minute it becomes an exquisite blend of tonka, tobacco, and slight traces of cardamom. It's like a chai drink with just a hint of smokiness, it hits the spot if you're looking for spicy and gourmand-ish. Once it becomes a skin scent (which is very quickly), you can sense traces of leather here and there. Although again it is very soft. The most disappointing part about it is the weak sillage and short-lived longevity. Although it's never quite strong enough to be heard, it becomes a skin scent only 30 minutes after spraying. Which is devastating to me because I love this sweet-spicy winter scent. Would be a love if there were a stronger version, like an intense.

I've had this perfume for a few months now so I can give this a complete review. It took about 5-10 minutes to settle on my skin, so I recommend that you let it dry down completely because that is when the magic happens. It's not sweet and it's not overly feminine. It evokes "boss chick" vibes. It carries a slight air of classy sophistication. I imagine a confident woman who is in the boardroom or making business deals in a tailored suit wearing this. Lovely scent. I don't know if there is a candle with this scent but it would make for a great home fragrance similar to the Henri Bendel candles.

I got the body spray at Tj Maxx (glass bottle!) and I really like it. To me it smells very similar to Flowerbomb, but lighter. Of course the body spray will be lighter in general but this has a little bit of a softness to it that kind of leans more like the Ruby Orchid Flowerbomb instead of the original. Nothing fruity about it though, however I don't get any fruitiness from Ruby Orchid either. I use this before bed frequently and like to mist my sheets with it. Why not? At this price point and it being a body spray, it seems perfect for a cozy bedtime experience.

I found this at TJ Maxx for $10 and was excited to try it because I'd been reading about it so much here. The smell is certainly unique; I love the combination of the tobacco, leather, vanilla, and patchouli. I think I will probably keep this one out of rotation until the colder months, though. I love that it isn't particularly feminine or masculine, it's the perfect balance for me. I initially said that I felt like it faded quickly, but 12 hours after one spray, I could still smell it on my clothes. It's a subtle smell throughout the day and it really is nice.

You've smelled 9 other versions of this. Spicy at the front with a hint sweet and a bit depth, vanilla and floral pushed to the back but still present. "For women" but would have been cologne in 1980. This is what non-gourmand perfume smells like in 2021 the way Juicy Couture is what perfume smelled like in 2010. It's fine enough, a true easy reach. Wearable, pleasant, and inoffensive. It also doesn't stand out in any way. Faded to faint powder (had to bring my nose right next to my wrist and sniff deep) within four hours and was completely gone in six.

RM is soft yet still has an astringency, tonka prevails, there is a smooth suede leather, a tad of tobacco, a smidge of cardamom, and the bergamot makes it office-friendly. It's a nice sample to get with an order yet I am not quite sure it's full bottle worthy. Leaving out the patchouli would have made this better yet amping it up would have turned it into Bvlgari Patchouli Tentation. As it is, it has no sillage and it's a bit too clean for my tastes yet might layer well over cardamom oil, which I plan to try this week and will update when I do. :)

I have a sample that I dismissed pretty quick because I’m not into spicy scents. I recently sniffed this at JCPenney because I couldn’t remember if what I have a sample of was this or just something from a whole Rebecca minkoff line. I didn’t immediately recognize it and was actually very impressed with it, so I’m glad I didn’t throw my sample away. This is as sexy as a scent can be without screaming “trying to be sexy” out loud. She’s sexy because she doesn’t need attention for being sexy.

Just bought this as a blind buy from TJMaxx (of course I checked the notes as I was checking out). I’m so glad I bought this. I was a little iffy about the playtime with the cardamom as a top note, but the tobacco, tonka and leather were calling. my. naaaame. If you like a cheap allstar, get this perfume. It’s creamy and spicy, and flirty when appropriate. I can dress it up or down, and I can’t wait to try it out for layering. Adding this to my cheap perfume go tos!!

Woodsy....floral musk.....light tobacco/patchouli vibe. A nice scent....and safe IMO. I like it so far...but performance is an issue. I also get a Chanel Coco Mad vibe/Sofia Vergara vibe. IMO...does NOT smell like SJP Stash and no way like Velvet Teddy....just sayin'.......... This goes to skin scent rather quickly..on me. I get the light musky patchouli more in the drydown. Middle of the road scent....but I like it.

Bergamot, jasmine, suede, tobacco and a sweetish tonka bean. Ignore the pyramid because this is what you’re going to get. Nicely calibrated so that it doesn’t enter a room before you do and at the same time, it will be noticeable to anyone within an arm’s length. Nice work for a debut and worth a sniff if you find it at a great price. It’s an easy reach for fall and winter without being dusty or overly woody.

The combo is intoxicating and it reminds me of a light and sweet version of Ani without that medicinal and herbaceous quality. I think this is light and spicy enough for everyday. Moderate on skin long lasting on clothing. Softly spiced and sexy is my actual review title.

This is pretty. Kind of like Michael Kors "Gorgeous!", but sweeter. I can definitely pick up on a slight hint of tobacco, but otherwise this is all jasmine to me. I like it enough that I'll consider buying it if it's discounted or on sale, but I probably won't pay full price for it. Edited to add: I can't imagine anyone disliking this, so it would be a solid choice for the office.

On the first spray, I feel like I am walking into an upscale spa with rich woods. Looking at the notes I never would have guessed I would have had such a positive opinion of the opening. The problem is that, as other reviewers have noted, the scent dissipates quickly - very very poor longevity. I think they should do an intense release next year that has more staying power.
