I'm a big fan of the rose in this as it's not the freshest of blooms nor does it have that sickly sweet overripe soapy floral. an aura of salt and skin that's sweat like but more adrenaline rush turned feminine with the trace of makeup that's been on the skin for awhile vs a dank workout that some salt/skin perfumes I've owned had. A lovely almost stale tobacco scent that borderlines the last cigarette in a pack that you've been saving for one of "those days" and the cigarette she smoked a few hours earlier lingering in her hair and lingerie Quite a similar almost gemini twin to thin wild mercurys "Chateau, 1970" but not as clean/fresh/vintage soap. Call girl doesn't hide her intentions, she won't tell you what you want to hear in the moments after the ecstasy she has provided in her work, and most important she isn't naive about the reality she has built, she knows who she is. I definitely consider this to be one of the true "cool girl" perfumes that so many brands have tried to achieve but clearly don't know how to touch the surface of the embrace of despair and turmoil behind the coveted femininity.

I definitely smell Bulgarian Roses and there is something deeper underneath adding another overlay of the rose variety and true to the description on the website I am getting the unmistakable smudge of expensive lipstick or creamy wax violets (however you wish to interpret them). I know this is supposed to tell the scent story of a night encounter in a seedy motel, but I can't help but think of a classy well sought-after mistress in bygone French, Austrian or Russian courts. It's a bit exotic in ways with the rose petals and the stately tobacco combined with the kiss of violet and silk skin musk elevates this call girl to Maîtresse-en-titre! Bravo Redwood!
