Diamond Of Velvet

This is an oriental leather fragrance with a fruity side at the start, which is then replaced by a powdery side kick in the dry down. Its starts of with notes of peach, orange with a spicy saffron and a smooth leather. It was as if this fragrance bought me into this vintage Ottoman palace. Its very elegant and sophisticated. In the dry down the powdery aspect is supportive of the continued leather base while you can still detect the peach in a far distant. Régalien did a wonderfull job with this one. As for uniqueness, I would place it along scents such as Ganymede. Thats a bold comparison to make, since Ganymede won the award for best scent of 2020. However they give off the same experience. While Ganymede is a mineral suède perfume with fresh nuances, this is on the other end an oriental leather with sweet nuances. They could be brothers that dont look alike at all! The one blond and the other dark haired. But the olfactory sensation is on the same level. Both get more more interesting with time and the more time you spend with it. But are very elegant and absolutely not loud. I highly recommend to try this one if you enjoy Ganymede (once again, they smell totally different!).

This is an unusual fragrance. Opens up smooth leathery/suede with fruity aspects ( peach & osmanthus) and dries down to a powdery, spicy suede scent with a hint of iris. Really unique fragrance and worth sampling. Reminds me of " Garçon Manqué" from Givenchy, especially the suede/osmanthus combination.

Confident, strong, aggressive and yet, soft hearted. Def a leather fragrance with sweetness but "the good-good" scent of leather. Leather frags are on the uprise. I can definitely see Joan Jett wearing this fragrance or even someone named Joan on a Jet.

Sophisticate,deep,oudi,oriental but elegant,very long lasting perfume.
