Fleur Éclair

Fleur Eclaire is french kiss WOW. This is a gourmand done in true Regime Des Fleurs fashion. Overall, this is a lovely floral gourmand, blended to the Gods. I appreciate RDF's dedication to using naturals because it makes risky blends like Fleur Eclaire work when I'm not sure it would otherwise. This frag is cozy and yummy while being light and airy at the same time. It's very unique. It opens with a STUNNING cocoa note that is carried through the middle layer, accompanied by some spiciness from the cardamom. The rose and jasmine give way to an unexpected but lovely floral compliment that somehow works very well. The patchouli and amber are pronounced in the dry down and conclude the journey of Fleur Eclaire. This perfume is exactly what I look for in fragrance - it's a journey. It's complex. A story unfolds on your skin. When I get to experience a journey with a perfume that also happens to smell yummy and delicious at the same - I'm in absolute heaven. Bonus points for the bottle too - it's the EPITOME of chic and timeless, and an ode to RDF's vintage philosophy. Longevity and silage are about what you'd expect. I like to reapply after about 3 to 4 hours. In my opinion, this fragrance is a MASTERPIECE. It's totally different from any other gourmand on the market and a daring piece of art. Rating: 10/10

Beautiful cacao butter and cocoa opening. It's my fave and what I fell in love with. The cacao and cocoa lasts a good 2 hours before it fades. The Jasmine Sambac is what I feel makes this smell very similar to Muglers Alien. I hate to compare it to that though because it's so beautiful and elegant vs Alien just gives a different vibe. The florals in this fragrance are beautiful, rich and even creamy. I don't get much orange blossom but definitely Patchouli. I love the cardamom. And after 2 hours it becomes just a sugary floral. Which is so pretty to me. I get about 6-7 hours of wear. It projects really well which is great however if you reapply to get more cacao or cocoa notes, you would run the risk of over spraying and at that point it could be headache inducing. This is a love and If I wanted more cocoa or cacao, I could layer it with something. But I respect not making this a full gourmand. This is exactly what I needed. As I do not like overly sweet, gourmand fragrances. Fleur Eclair gives me summer beachy vibes but could be a good all year around fragrance. Very unique and very appreciative of my full bottle purchase.

Hated this on paper upon first spray - all I got was tootsi rolls... However, on skin this is delicious. I think for anyone who finds Blanche Bete to be too milk-forward, this may work better. There's something very addictive about it - I can't stop huffing my arm + the scent trail is beautiful. Just a super lovely chocolately white floral. I definitely get the cardamom & rosewater as well. I usually don't like heavy white florals or particularly foodie/ rich dessert gourmands, but this strikes a perfect balance between dessert & floral. Edit: every time I reach for this, I always end up layering it with Diptyque L'Eau Papier, which I feel like softens & lightens this.

This is more of if a pastry was made of flowers and dusted with cocoa powder. This is light, airy, and effervescent. It’s if your Madeline cookie was flavored with white florals. It’s a breeze or whiff of a bakery and a flower shop that shares a building. This is so beautiful and romantic. Using the term gourmand can fill some with an inaccurate perception of what this “should be”. Regime Des Fleurs is as its namesake shows, is about flowers in all their facets and all their emotions that they evoke. I think this captures the airy quality of puffed pastry flavored with florals perfectly. Long wearing for such an airy fragrance. Full bottle worthy 10/10

oh wow this is amazing, start to finish. a gorgeous cocoa-rose scent that segues into the most opulent, heady, intoxicating jasmine. it's so warm and beautiful. the orange blossom makes it's super creamy and slightly sweet, but the jasmine really is the star player here. i don't get any stinkiness from the amber either, which makes it a winner in my book. 10/10 really impressed; the first scent i've tried from the brand and it's absolutely fantastic. definitely will be purchasing a full bottle, although they're especially dear in the UK!

Love it, as I knew I would! I got a dabber sample with my RdF discovery set today. Fleur Eclair is mostly what I expected, and it's delicious. I definitively get the cocoa and puff pastry, especially in the opening. But it's soft and light enough on my skin to be safe for work, meetings, etc. After an hour or so it dries down to a pretty floral, but you can still smell the cocoa and a bit of cardamom in the background. I just ordered a full bottle and can't wait to wear it more when it arrives.

Oh this is gorgeous, though I expected it to be a chocolate gourmand lol. Instead, it is a clean, beachy white floral breeze cushioned by a base of creamy cocoa butter which nudges it slightly into the gourmand category. A clean gourmand lover’s dream. Thought I’d be picking this up for fall/winter but I feel this one sits firmly in spring/early summer.

The creaminess, the cocoa, the BLEND! This perfume is truly unlike anything I have smelled. It's my first from Régime des Fleurs and scratches an itch whenever I smell it. I find myself constantly sniffing my arm trying to identify each and every note. Discovered this one through ScentBar in NYC and am so happy with this addition to my collection. Love!

Soft buttery cocoa, sugar cubes dissolved in rosewater, bright jasmine. Very pretty and overtly feminine but not particularly childish in my opinion. The white florals in this are very cool and clean with no hint of decay. This smells a lot like a very expensive Japanese department store.

Really beautiful and glad I bought it. I thought it would be a play on cocoa butter and it is! It leans slightly feminine but who cares? I plan to wear it on its own as a man and sometimes layer with Heraud to bring out even more of the chocolate aspect 😍 Edit: floral tootsie rolls!!!

I almost didn't buy this because of the Fragrantica rating --- but the notes intrigued me. This is the perfect blend of delicious semi-sweet cocoa and florals. A great transition from heavy winter gourmands to spring florals. It is truly lovely.

Sweetened and whipped orange blossoms dusted with cocoa powder. Light, warming cardamon giving into deep patchouli. As with the rest Regime des Fleurs line, a really elegant approach to the concept.

The lightest, airiest, and most luxurious sunscreen x cocoa powder combo. Kind of honestly took my breath away!

A mostly jasmine perfume with some sweet-ish touches. Very nice, but not really gourmand.

Beachy white blossoms smothered in cocoa butter and crystallized in sugar. A floral first, gourmand second. Big win for neroli and sambac stans. The notes had me hoping for a Middle Eastern pastry with the cardamom and rosewater, which I feel are usually pretty demonstrative, but they didn’t show until an hour in and lent more of a cosmetic-toned spice than the suggestion of anything edible. The heart of Fleur Éclair is far more cocoa butter than powder – smooth, creamy, and very white chocolatey. I thought I’d be simping hard for Fleur Éclair, as Nitesurf Neroli converted me into an orange blossom enthusiast and Glass Blooms got me silly for femme florals, but this doesn’t quite click with my nose the same way. Still a silky, decadent floral with solid lasting power (at least 6h for me) and a beautiful evolution on skin. In case others are looking for a true dessert, it shares a lot of character with Liis’s Choux Choux, which I honestly prefer. Mental Snapshot: Nibbling on a fresh flower, plucked straight off a wedding cake. (They won’t notice). It’s a beach wedding, at a bougie resort chain in the Caribbean. (You’re just a plus one). You’re not sure if the flower is edible or not, but it looks pretty enough to eat. (It tastes like the body butter and massage oil from your spa treatment earlier that day). (Don't eat body butter or massage oil). tl;dr: sugar-encrusted blossoms 💐🏝️

Fleur Éclair smells like a dense, rich, and slightly oily pastry cream, of the same texture as cold cream, infused with orange blossom water and sprinkled with cocoa powder and cardamom. Alongside this is a waxy, crispy jasmine, overflowing with musk and studded with sugar crystals. If it sounds delicious, it is. But I’d argue it’s more of a floral fragrance than a gourmand, although those aspects are important. The jasmine in this is most important though, and it is stunning in its heavily woven simplicity. Like a thick, pure white cloak of tightly woven fine threads. The fragrance is linear aside from the first five minutes when a slightly synthetic cocoa note dominates, which I admit to enjoying but it doesn’t stay. The feeling of texture is the thing that most stands out to me about this perfume. The oiliness, waxiness and density. Fleur Eclair lasts about 6 hours on skin and doesn’t project a whole lot past the first hour although it does linger on clothes.

This reminds me a good bit of Celine ZouZou and even a smidge of Guerlain Feve Gourmand. The latter two feel of higher quality ingredients than Fleur Eclair, and feel altogether more sophisticated, serious and natural. But, both ZouZou and Feve don’t last very long. Notably, the addition of floral notes makes Fleur stand on its own, rounding the perfume with something undeniably pretty and setting it apart in the genre. Further, it’s more reasonably priced, especially when you get a discount code with the brand. In short, Fleur is a round voluptuous milk chocolate with florals, synthetic in feel at times (agree with the plasticky sensation of other reviewers) but not totally disturbingly so. If you like the genre of scents mentioned above and are ok with a little more synthetic, this will last a long time on skin. It does give a yummy sillage. It’s a top release from Regimes in my opinion.

Airy, fluffy, sweet jasmine with spun sugar and a comfortingly artificial chocolate note (I definitely get the tootsie roll note mentioned in a few previous reviews). Feels like a gourmand take on a floral – rather than a floral take on a gourmand. This is more of an end of winter, early spring perfume to me, the white florals are what I notice first. I’ve never smelled anything from Regime des Fleurs before, but I believe they are known for their floral notes – so I would think this makes sense in context with the house. This perfume makes me interested in trying more of their fragrances. After wearing it for about an hour, it smells like I applied cocoa butter lotion and then threw on a sweater that had an airy jasmine perfume lingering on the fabric. Feels precious, innocent, and a little playful. (De-scent-ber 2024: Day 2)

opens up with a firm, almost plastic-y chocolate scent — not in a bad way, similar to unwrapping a tootsie roll. chocolate, but lighter. as it settles more of the white florals come out and the cocoa fades off to the side while still being present. like a chocolate milkshake topped with whipped cream and a pretty flower. i love the idea of gourmands but on my skin they are always cloying and overly sweet, however i think this one balances out well with the florals and it never comes off as too much. a very pretty and feminine scent. in the running for my $60 coupon i received with the discover set lol

1st impression: Love! Yes the opening has blast of cacoa butter (I love it) but it's prominent for long and Fluer Eclair evolves. It's very close to the fantastic but discontinued flanker Armani Code Satin (which I own and adore) but I feel Fleur Eclair elevated by turning yhe sweetness way down and diffusing the notes. This is the fifth fragrance I've sampled from the house, even the two I didn't like I can appreciate. I don't get the “childish” or “Tootsie rolls” comparisons. I'm also surprised by how any people can only smell cocoa butter.

Its a strange one, the opening blasts that artificial jasmine sambac smell which has that grape kool-aid kind of thing going on. It really throws me for a loop because the chocolate is also coming through incredibly strong as well. Chocolate and grapes is not what I was picturing but I also don't hate it so. After an hour, the grape kool-aid goes away and becomes a sweet white floral truffle vibe. After sitting a few hours it turns into straight patchouli woods (which I personally like)

Like an airy white floral with cacao powder? It's quite lovely and unique. If you are a floral perfume wearer, this adds a bit of something different to the mix and might be worth checking out for your collection! I'm on the fence and might get a larger sample to give it some real wear tests. I can see this being a beautiful layering fragrance as well!

This perfume is what cleanliness and an everything shower are to me. I definitely pick up on the cardamom and patchouli (there's a slight incense-ness to it?). I love this very much, very clean girl. Edit: After smelling it again, I smell the cocoa now! Very clean and delicious.

To me it really smells like simple syrup, rosewater, and cocoa. It reminds me a bit of one of my favorite drinks which is an iced rosewater mocha. It's really lovely, but if you were expecting a heavier gourmand feel, it's definitely not that. I would buy a whole bottle.

I am not getting the persian inspired dessert vibes, but its a unique combo of cocoa and jasmine that is not replicated anywhere else in my collection. A gourmand floral is an intriguing marriage.

Upon first spray I did not like it that much but now wearing it, turns out to be a nice warm Cocoa Jasmine/Orange Blossom scent. You need to enjoy Jasmine in order to like this scent. Pretty.

Lovely airy fresh, fragrant floral. Sweet, uplifting, happy-happy blend. Dry down add a bit of cocoa butter on a chocolate Tootsie Roll lollipop sprouting from sweet orange blossoms.

A sweet cocoa confection to start then switches to butter and orange blossom. No cardamom. The first 60 seconds are its finest moment.

This is beautiful. It is a sweet, aromatic floral. It’s different from many of my floral perfumes, but it works well for me.

Let me start by saying this is not the type of fragrance I go for or would even pick to try. I got it as part of a sample set where I really wanted some of the other samples. I am a certified gourmand hater. This fragrance did not change my mind, but even if I dislike a profile, I can recognize when something is well-constructed and well-blended. This is definitely a good fragrance; it's smooth, somewhat nuanced, decent longevity, appropriate projection for something sweet that people don't necessarily want in their personal space. I do agree with some that say it smells like cheap cocoa butter lotion or Tootsie Rolls, but there is something else to it that elevates it above that level. The cocoa butter is by far the strongest note, supported by the warmth of the amber, the wood notes, and the cardamom, approximately in that order. The cardamom isn't enough to turn this spicy, it's just a gentle warmth. I honestly do not get the floral notes. There's something a little "thick" about the cocoa butter that could be sort of the base of white florals, but if you're afraid of big white florals I don't believe it would be a problem for you here. It's still what I would consider somewhat cloying. Some might find it a little juvenile, but it's in a darling way. Still not something I enjoy wearing, but still nice. 6/10 personally, though in general a 7.5/10.

Smells like an eclair with jasmine. Definitely pick up the cocoa, the creamy, buttery pastry, and also a lot of jasmine. I am on the fence about it because the creamy note starts to veer into coconut or even fake butter/margarine territory, and as the cocoa fades, I begin to enjoy the perfume less. I get less eclair and jasmine, and more odd, thick creaminess that I don't really love. I smell it on my clothes the next day, but it doesn't bring me rapture. I find this perfume very gourmand, but with flowers. This is the same idea as Lutens' La Religieuse, which I adore. A religieuse is like an éclair but shaped differently. The Serge concept is not overtly gourmand as this one is, and it is more heavy or focused on jasmine. I think this one just starts to become a little too synthetic and a tad cloying.

For some strange reason, I like this, even though it does smell like Tootsie Rolls and cheap cocoa butter lotion. It smells like the scratch and sniff stickers I used to have when I was a little girl which means that the cocoa smell is pretty synthetic to me. It’s pretty sweet and slightly offputting? It just makes me uncomfortable. It’s probably nostalgia of the scratch and sniff stickers. I’d be happy to smell it on other people, but I don’t think I would wear it for myself.

The opening was quite nice with the beautiful sugary florals and cocoa butter, but after about 30 minutes a green ( the neroli?) patchouli came through which took over the fragrance more than I would have liked. To me, it cheapened this fragrance, which already has a very hefty price tag. Unfortunately, a pass,,,,,,,,

This smells like if you have eaten too many pastries made by a tiny princess fairy who is unaware of the horrors of the human world. A slight, but pleasant, suncream note as well. Not worth it for the price at all though sadly.

I really liked the opening on this. The cocoa was soooo fleeting though. The dry down was very meh and felt dated and powdery. Reminded me of something my mom had from Avon when I was a kid that I cant remember the name of

I’m a gourmand lover but maybe not a lover of chocolate or cacao scent? It’s not something I love smelling like. Something about it reminds me of smelling a pen that broke open? Not sure why.

Sweet rose, jasmine and amber. A little powdered in the dry down. The longevity is pretty good. Unisex.

I love white florals and chocolate, and the opening of this fragrance is the most masterful blend of these two scent profiles I’ve ever experienced. It was eyes rolled to the back of my head good. Just heavenly. I almost bought a full bottle right there, but glad I didn’t. The top notes quickly faded, and what was left on my skin was generic soft white florals. In the dry down, the coffee notes really came through and in a very synthetic way. I couldn’t stand it, and even after a shower the smell still lingered in my hair. So in that sense the longevity is stellar compared to others I’ve tried from this house, but sadly it did not work for me.

I found the blend between floral and gourmand interesting on paper and on first spritz on skin, but as this stride down, it just felt like a really standard white floral old lady perfume, which was really disappointing for me because I found the mix really unique and intriguing at first. The sweetness was also really interesting. It had a bit of that classic sugary sweetness, but the cacao was more interesting and not just like the type of chocolate note I get in other chocolate perfumes.

There’s a description on the box: “a floral gourmand, rich but airy, decadent but refined.” It’s actually quite accurate. The top notes are chocolate and white florals—the chocolate isn’t the kind that makes you crave dessert, but more of an abstract impression of chocolate. The typical sweetness of a gourmand scent isn’t really there; most of the sweetness comes from the white florals. As it develops, the chocolate note gradually gets pushed aside by the florals.

Meh. I absolutely love Regime des Fleurs but this isn’t on par with their best. Not even close. The opening was promising but the dry down was quite unremarkable to my nose. Smells like a messy/muddled nondescript blend of notes to my nose. To appreciate this house’s true vibe and brilliance, try Tears, Himitsu Violets, Little Flower, Nitesurf Neroli, Falling Trees. So many greats.

This is very beautiful, I have never smelt such a smooth blend of florals and gourmands. But it is just INSANELY sweet in my opinion, nearing radioactive. I think that, if it were slightly more diluted and less sharp, this would be right down my alley. It's just very "in your face" as is—too loud for my personal tastes.

The cocoa butter reminds me a bit of the white chocolate note in Matcha Meditation. The rest is just too old and soapy smelling - like a lotion my grandmother wore in the 2000s. In terms of this ethereal gourmand-but-not subcategory that is having a moment right now, I much prefer Liis Choux Choux.

such a weird scent. it starts heavily gourmand with chocolate and sugar then dries down to jasmine and patchouli. the progression may work for some for me it gives cognitive dissonance

Confusing composition. Lightly floral but mainly straight Tootsie Roll. That chocolate flavored, but not real chocolate, candy scent. Not very sophisticated.

Smells like the tan shimmer lipsmackers I had in third grade. Marshmallow was the flavor? Maybe I’d wear this on a date to Skate City.

I found this one so cloying. Very chocolatey but in an artificial, overly sweet way, though it mellowed out into more of a floral as it dried down. Headache.
