In Clover

It smells like "Pleader" by alt-J. "How green, how green was my valley? To be told of such hills, to be held in such spots, to behold such warmth!” Soft, soapy greens and white, wispy air. I imagine myself wearing a white cotton dress on a foggy, emerald hillside, twirling beneath a stormy, gray sky. Clear, cold, and cutting, almost like ice water. It is equal parts green, ozonic, and aquatic. Longevity is short, and projection is quite close, but I find it easily perceptible with movement. I prefer intimate perfumes, so I love this.

The clover note is phenomenal. If you love green, if you like icy cold and if you love a perfume that can bring about a scent memory, this will please you. If your'e thinking in terms of money or value for the amount, this will not bring you joy. This is more wearable art and the joy of creation rather than a commercial endeavor, either way I appreciate having been able to experience it.

Honestly upset by this blind buy. I wanted to love it but $190 for 8mL of an extrait-level skin scent with weak longevity is a ripoff. Don’t get me wrong, the scent itself is gorgeous- heavy on the clover as the name implies with a light, green air about it. Banana leaf and violet leaf provide great support to a delightfully unintelligible green base while jasmine provides soft and dainty florality. Could even be described as soapy in a certain light. Dries down into a pretty generic ozonic/slightly woody musk. Definitely feminine-leaning but would work on anyone, especially if layered (which might be a necessary but gut-wrenching evil to make this one useful). 8/10 fragrance but longevity and silage are disastrous. So heartbreaking. Edit: So this smelled so familiar and it’s been driving me crazy but I finally figured it out. I dug through my bathroom cabinet to find an old Ocean & Timber Deodorant by Native and smelling them side by side after a couple of hours is like 85% similar, no joke. It’s just missing the tinge of florals and green.

Not sure how this is being rated so high and not a single review written on it. Pretty steep price at $190 for 8ml. It’s an extrait and not an attar. Sure, notes sound intriguing, but $$$$$
