Jade Vines

Like stepping out of GIGANTIC white concrete building and into the adjacent botanical garden. My friend Julia told me that the woman who formulated this fragrance was conjuring a scent for a plant in her garden that she loved but which carried had no smell. Maybe that's not true, I don't know. This perfume quickly imprints itself on the wearer and performs a prolonged etude. Though lush, the jungle motif is distant from the cloying sticky sweetness one usually associates with the tropical climate. Jade Vines is a bit more grown up and asymmetrical. The leaves are wide and emerald green. The white flowers steep in a clear puddle with their petals crumpled, balled up like tissues. And you are sitting on the cedar bench in a museum, separated from the woods by a sheet of cold glass, fogged with condensation. Tried this on at scent bar, in search of something to wear at my upcoming wedding. The wood notes in Jade Vines will blend completely differently on each person who wears it. Even after many hours, as it becomes increasingly leathery and mulchy, the lilting strings of the flowers are still audible. Evokes a slightly dignified vintage feeling, perfect for a wedding.

Such a unique perfume. Starts out very earthy and green then the white flowers blossom that last for a while until a woody dry down. Reminds me of Tuscany in the summer when you can smell the linden flowers in the day time, and the white florals at night. Realistic earth and flowers and not synthetic or mainstream smelling at all. Perfect for spring/summer. Leans more feminine but my husband likes it as well although he doesn't actually wear it often. I like female scents on men though, it's different.

As an orchid grower, this throws me immediately into the greenhouses of a very specific nursery in Encinitas, California that inspired me as a kid. Lush spicy wet foliage and white florals, ginger and yuzu present in the opening. Shame it only lasts for a few hours max and the price is a little steep. This is my ride or die signature scent until someone finds a way to capture the scent of a tropical greenhouse as well as this one. The closest anyone has gotten is Xinu monstera for context.

Total surprise from Regime des Fleurs! I was looking forward to testing this since I have a penchant for green notes as well as white florals but wasn't expecting to get such a realistic, humid greenhouse opening AND a mentholated tuberose (think a tamed Tubereuse Criminelle). Have been waiting/looking for something like this for ages and was not expecting it to come from this house. Only downside is it mellows out to a smooth gardenia a little too quickly but alas.

Took me a couple wears, but I keep going back to it. Opens airy and crisp, 2000s childhood backyard nostalgia or 2000s' nostalgia for the 1980s. A bit synthetic, but playful and relaxed. Then through the green it opens and warms, as if discovering something real. After an hour or so it's all gardenia and light tuberose, late afternoon. The few RdF samples I've tried are all melancholic, and this is a moment of balance, a pause, in sadness.

Wow, I was not expecting to love this scent as much as I do. A total sleeper scent if you just read the notes. When I opened it and first sniffed it, I was like yeah sure ok. Then the longer I smelled it, I was like oh yeah this is the scent you wear when you want to be the hot girl out to dinner with your friends on vacation in Bali. It's just super sexy, lush, and green.

One of my favorite scents. It smells so fresh, delicate and clean. Very unique in my opinion. Lasts most of the day on me surprisingly. There are moments where it does smell like cigarettes but like in the best way possible. I can't stop smelling it. There is just something about it.

Truly evokes a jade plant, though the gardenia really comes through. I want to wear this to a museum or a park with stately landscaping. Feels very grown up and elegant. It would be disrespectful to call the jade vines woman a MILF, but I bet you’d do it anyway.

If you've ever been to the conservatory of flowers in SF, this smells exactly like the lily pad room. One to one exactly. Honestly, made me super nostalgic. I wish it wasn't so pricey, or I'd buy it just as a memory vessel to one of my favorite places.

Opens with a surprisingly photorealistic rainforest. Like the humid wet ground and trees. After a few minutes it fades to a very pleasant semi tropical white floral. I’m a fan and will be purchasing for summer.

Incredibly refreshing—smells exactly like mist and fog. Lush wet greenery, dew-soaked petals, almost a spicy earthiness underneath. Gorgeous!

A tuberose freshie with a distinctly bitter edge. Green tuberose and a creamy dirty gardenia combine with spicy hot ginger and bitter yuzu to create a mentholated shower steamer type of tuberose fragrance. The ginger in this is spicy hot and all the notes together create a sappy and earthy vibe that is opposite to the lush, heady, and rich femme fatale feeling of many other tuberose perfumes. All that has been stripped out of this and what’s left is bracing, green and full of energy. There is a feeling of soil and growing things and fertility. The dry down on this is soapy and woody and still reminds me of a shower steamer, just a different one. This lasts a respectable 6 hours on skin and projects to arms length for the first couple hours.

The first place I saw a jade vine was a greenhouse in Singapore, and I think this fragrance evokes that vision perfectly. It’s a humid white floral, spiked with incense. A rainforest, but without the woodrot of the earth. All flower, no brakes. There’s no rose listed in the notes, but for some reason I’m getting a spiced, burgundy rose carrying all the jasmine and tuberose. The ginger arrives fashionably late, around thirty minutes in. Mental Snapshot: Tropical holy water. A shrine with curtains of pale blooms, carpeted in crushed rose petals. A perfectly manicured jungle, inside a glass chapel. tl;dr: greenhouse bouquet 💐💮

I walked over to my dad wearing this and he asked me why I smell like tobacco. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. He smokes, so I figured that scent was just lingering on his own clothes, but a couple of people below agree with him. To me, Jade Vines is a beautiful and sophisticated white floral fragrance. Nothing grannyish about it. I feel like it's something a very attractive woman in her 30s would wear to her job as an art dealer or something. Maybe that'll be me in ten years. I sprayed it at 8am and it's still going strong as we approach 5pm. Glam and green. Pairs well with: Heart Stop - Wax Tailor, Jennifer Charles

This throbbing, humid, green, waxy gardenia-tuberose really does evoke a jade plant! Really lovely stuff — only the price point gives me pause about purchasing a full bottle. Between this and leather petals I fear I may be losing a pretty penny to regime des fleurs! Edit: this does go just slightly soapy on drydown on my skin which honestly I am relieved about as an excuse not to purchase. My mission for the perfect earthy green gardenia continues!

I like this! It reminds me a LOT of a crystal shop. I got a strong jasmine smell but don't see that as a note which is kind of interesting. It smells just like incense to me. It's a lot less delicate than I was expecting, and I don't know if it's the most wearable for me, but I really like how much it smells like one of those little hippie small business shops :)

Easy floral from start to finish with light projection. Turns into a light spicy wood scent in the drydown. I like Jade Vines but it’s a pass at this price point— I have to love it to fork over three Benjamins. One caveat is that Jade Vines feels and wears natural, so I appreciate the effort.

The part of me that loves green fragrances likes it....the part of me that dislikes gardenia and is meh about tuberose is disappointed. I think it’s like if someone used some L’Occitain green verbena lotion and then sprayed some White Shoulders on top of it 😅

Lightly mentholated and zesty white floral that stays polite but doesn’t lose its greenhouse humidity. Big congrats to citrus, cedar, and ginger for coordinating as a team to manage the cloying sweetness of tuberose and gardenia. Slick work.

it smells just like the mid-century home of my childhood best friend's mother circa 1995. houseplants, teak furniture, books, and art supplies in the sun-dappled home office of a professor of french feminist literature.

Also, the list of notes is missing iris in the drydown. The drydown smells a lot like PDM Athalia honestly

This is super jasminey to me so I'm surprised to see jasmine not listed in the notes anywhere!

This was a highly anticipated sample for me and now having sampled it, I am relieved that I didn't blind-buy this from Moda Operandi when it was exclusive there, as I was sorely tempted to do. I do not get any ginger, and only a faint hint of vague citrus. I love ginger and yuzu and think they could have brought needed freshness and sparkle to this one. It's definitely green, but not the dewy greenness that I'd hoped for; rather, it's more like the damp, earthy smell of stepping into a muddy rainforest, which I don't hate! Sometimes I want to smell like a damp forest, all in the dirt and the decaying leaves. But not often, you know? On my skin, there's something else, too. I really hate to make this comparison because I truly love this brand and several of Alia's creations (Little Flower & Himitsu being my favorites). But wearing this on my arm after a few minutes, I also get the strong impression of cigarettes covered up by a vintage white floral perfume, which must be an unintentional olfactive consequence of the green notes, white florals, and woods? So to recap, it's green dirt, cigarettes, and a mature auntie coming in for a hug. Eventually, it dries down to a slightly wet tuberose, but at what cost? I'm so sorry, Alia! I really, really, wanted to love this.

As much as I love RDF, Jade Vines doesn't really do it for me. I guess I was expecting something more cool and fresh based on the name. To me, when I hear "Jade Vines," I think green and wet. There is a lot of spiciness in this blend, probably from the ginger. I find it to be a bit cloying and headache inducing. Kind of disappointing as I love tuberose and gardenia together. I was expecting something more like Florence by Tocca. The ginger is present throughout the entire wear and the woody notes give this a very heavy feel overall. The fragrance is fine, but nothing I would ever wear personally and really nothing special, in my opinion. The projection and longevity are pretty good though! If you like a spicy, woody white floral, this would be a good option for you. RDF uses mostly naturals and you can tell. Rating: 6/10 EDIT: The drydown is fabulous and evokes the name Jade Vines more sincerely. If you can get past 3 to 4 hours of cloying and spiciness for a lovely aqua drydown, this is great.

Jade Vines- There is a quality and texture to this fragrance that smells and feels like a thick green vine. It's really astounding that a scent can trigger my tactile receptors. Jade Vines isn't my type of fragrance, though, I appreciate its complexity and the beautiful imagery it evokes. The opening is very green and damp. I can almost feel myself snapping a vine and smelling the milky sap that seeps out of the wound. It’s sharp and biting. Surrounding that is the unique citrus yuzu scent along with warmth from ginger. The gardenia is waxy and lemony fleshing out the citrus and supporting the lush humidity of Jade Vines. As Jade Vines dries down I sense more astringency and some indefinable woodiness yet JV remains green and pithy. In its base, Jade Vines reminds me of masculine/ unisex neroli fragrances. It's a tenacious fragrance that's likely best for warm weather and lovers of sharp, clean green fragrances.

The note list from the official sample card is: Top: Ginger, Black Currant Bud, Sichuan Pepper Heart: Green Gardenia Buds, Yuzu Blossoms, Jungle Rose Base: Cedar, Liana Wood That is a significantly different note list from the one listed on the Fragrantica page currently. My initial impression was a fresh outdoor green space, a bit more airy than the "lush, tropical mist" the official sample card says to expect. The dry down was disappointingly stale, like the part of the jungle that's rotting and turning into humus. I do still like this because the opening is so nice but I would only want to wear it for like 5 minutes and then take it off, so when I decide to use it I'll probably put it on some clothing I can take off and throw in the wash when the dry down appears.

An airy white floral with the slightest hint of sunscreen - unsure if that’s the tuberose or gardenia. My thing with white florals: they need to go somewhere. Uplifted by honeycomb, ylang ylang, fruit or darkened by woodsy sandalwood, cedar, amber. I don’t get any ginger or woodsy notes, so to me it’s very...linear. It’s white walls and white trim and white painted brick. It’s watching the hotel station on vacation. For $220-something it’s an overpriced but perfectly safe blind buy for the floral lover in your life.

The opening here evokes swampy soil, steamed green beans, and something unpleasantly indolic– all under a sheen of tropical sunscreen. BUT after only about ten minutes, the fragrance becomes perfectly pleasant: a bright, smooth white floral with a hint of ginger and welcoming greenhouse humidity. A journey!

I really liked this fragrance up until I made the mistake of reading NoseCurious’ review below me. I can see how this smells like cigarettes covered up by white florals and I can’t un-smell it now.

A bit boring for the price point for my taste. Definitely smells like a shoe store which isn't a bad scent but don't think I want to smell like it.

Atmospheric, yes. This reminds me of my grandma, who smoked menthols, kept an impeccably clean house, and wore Charlie by Revlon.

Clean musks, green florals. Pleasant but not memorable or distinctive. Nice for summer, spring.

RdF is half hits, half misses. Crazy how hyped Jade Vines is... but you guys am I the only one getting this crazy strong, super specific stale cigarette scent in here? It hit me as a memory smell- hopefully no one else has had this experience... but it smells like the home of somebody who has smoked cigarettes inside their house for the last 20 years. It is maybe the craziest note I have ever picked up. And its so loud!! Fortunately it dies down but was insufferable for like the first 30 minutes 😂 The middle of this is typical RdF base DNA, kind of gummy, vaguely fruity, watery florals- nothing super distinguishable, moderately fresh. Then in the drydown the notes wilt and meld together, leaving behind just a faint, slightly sour musty smell. Kind of like how Memos tend to dry down. Longevity about 3 hours in total. Meant for spring and summer. I did not like this one, though I did follow it up with Toor Toor which I found quite nice and fairly unique. Still just shocked at that dingy old cigarette smell though. EDIT: OK I am not the only one getting cigarettes thank God. Yeah its pretty terrible. Like I love the smell of smoke and even ciggies, but this is giving a trailer home with burnt orange tar all over the walls from years of smoking. Probably theres also an oxygen machine but grandma's still just puffing along.

Jade Vines by Régime des Fleurs is rich gardenia-tuberose base that brings to mind Gardenia Tuberose by Estée Lauder. The blend feels lush and slightly green, with a hint of camphorous sharpness that suggests the use of tuberose absolute. What sets this fragrance apart is the addition of ginger, which adds a fresh, green bite that makes the white flowers feel more realistic, almost as if you’re smelling the blooms along with their leaves and stems. It’s a glamorous and luxurious scent, but with a naturalistic, green edge.

i was so excited to try this and...wow, it’s terrible. the opening is pure cigarettes, with maybe a hint of bathroom cleaner. it smells like i’ve just walked into a cheap motel—the wallpaper is brown with nicotine and the staff has doused everything in cheap disinfectant. it settles into something almost pleasant—the ginger projects beautifully!—but it’s not worth the very off-putting opening and imo not evocative of a lush/green jungle at all...

it eventually dries down to something creamy ginger but upon opening it smells rubbery green, like shoes. reminds me of a big-box shoe store.

Jade Vines from Regime des Fleurs is a scent I had hoped I would not love, but I knew I was doomed because I’ve really enjoyed most things from this not-entirely-budget-friendly brand. The way I want to talk about is probably unhelpful to those seeking literal reviews of perfumes, so: the straightforward take is that this is a tremulous woody green fever dream dripping with tuberose’s luminous, honeyed hallucinatory incense. There’s nothing really aquatic about it, at least not in a light-hearted sunny marine sense, but I envision a thalassic altar to invoke something darker from the depths of the abyss; picture Uxia Cambarro as the Priestess of the Esoteric Order of Dagon in her lair, a shadowy grotto dimly lit by iridescent algae blooms and spectral, glowing salt crystal. So there’s that verdant woodland, dreamy white floral element but also something of secret caverns by the sea and echoes of the arcane rituals that once took place in the darkness there. The further I think on either of these aspects, the more they elude me; it’s the perfumed equivalent of being kept in a room with more corners than logic says is possible or rereading over and over the same page of a book with the unsettling suspicion that it’s somehow vaguely different each time. I highly suggest you sample this scent while listening to the Kilimanjaro Dark Jazz Ensemble to heighten the weirdness.

Edit: This has grown on me. Still convinced there's vetiver in here somewhere, but this is a juicy green, *viney* fragrance. It's not coniferous green, nor grassy green, it's juicy green, slightly spicy green. And oh so smooth. I could wear this for certain. Original: This is a well done fragrance, and Regime Des Fleurs does not miss. It's not for me, however. I would have sworn this was a neroli and vetiver fragrance in the beginning, it must be the combination of the ginger and gardenia perhaps. It reminds me a smidgen of Bond. 9 Eau de New York. Leans a bit masculine on me, even though it has tuberose. Not the type of green fragrance I lean towards, but it is gorgeously done. Sillage is not bad, and longevity is stellar.

I dislike the opening of Jade Vines very much so, and I can buy into the humid plant leaf facade if I’d like to. But it reads to me more like hot, green rubber. However, the dry down consists of me tripping and falling into the most outrageously large and intoxicating bushes of gardenia and tuberose. I don’t want to get up and it’s not because I have a concussion, but because the plush and milky blooms have captured me entirely. These white florals are the work of ancient fae and their long game to make me one of them. I’m afraid it’s working and I cannot care less.

Mentholated and fresh white floral. I honestly think it's super cool and standout. I get a lot of tuberose, and an airy but spicy aroma. It's not the smoothest scent. For some reason this didn't really pique my interest when I first went through the brand's discovery set. I'm glad I revisited it because it has a ton of merit within the line.

snorting the cocaine of the forest nymphs. discovering a throne in the recesses of the humid jungle. pondering future possibility while sprawled out on the greenest hillside, a journal at your side. the way a good seltzer kicks the back of your throat. the greenest green, the perfect harmony, the untamed wilderness.

when i first smelled this, it transported me to a memory... hiking through a tropical jungle in asia, the air thick with life and mystery, en route to a hidden temple. the scent is regal, opulent, and lush. it carries the wildness of a tropical forest understory... earthy, verdant, and softly floral.

green leafy notes, soil, vanilla, & white florals it settles on pure florals rather quickly, with Jasmine being center stage after 3-4 hours I also get a woody tea note Good quality, projects well for 3-4 hours, lasts longer as a skin scent

This shows how much name and concentration matters because this is almost identical to Chanel 19 but with a prettier name and less concentrated. I hated Chanel 19 but would probably wear this. Will just dilute my Chanel for the price.

reminds me of when I was little and would secretly chew on the rubbery green grapes from the decorative fake fruit bowl my mom had out in our late 90s/early 2000s kitchen. and I absolutely LOVE it.
