Egyptian Musk

Perfectly Scentsable's Egyptian Musk Oil has become my new all-occasion standby! It's a true cozy, clean Egyptian Musk that melds with your body chemistry to create the most gentle, subtle skin scent. You wear the musk, the musk doesn't wear you, so don't go into the experience expecting crazy strong sillage. The consistency of the oil is extremely thick (almost viscous, like honey!) and spreadable, which is the texture that I've heard all authentic Egyptian Musks should be. A little drop of oil goes a long way - I usually take about two to three drops and distribute it evenly on my pulse points and behind my ears (if i still have a little left on my fingertips, I rake it through the ends of my hair!). I personally love to apply it to damp-ish skin after I take a shower, when I'm getting ready for bed, but it smells just as lovely on dry skin. The only downside for me is the packaging, which is tricky to travel with (the cap is secure, I'm just always paranoid about spills) and the fact that it's hard not to get oil on the papery label!

I've worn this one for years (under Body Time of Berkeley) and it always got compliments - even when I thought it had worn off, someone would mention how nice I smelled. It has a balance of clean, musky, powdery and little sweet but not "I smell like a vanilla poundcake" sort of sweet. I'd liken it to the smell of baby's head after they've had a bath, warm, milk-scent vibe, soft, enjoyable, and comforting.

This scent is literally catnip to me, it is just sooo me! Yes, it is identical to Abdul Kareem Egyptian Musk (made famous by Carolyn Bessette Kennedy). This oil is musky but fluffy, almost vanillic but not quite. It’s clean without being soapy. I can wear this every single day and layer practically any other perfume with it, which would only serve to amp it up. Desert Island perfume.

Virtually identical to the infamous Abdul Kareem EM. Remedy has better staying power and sillage than Abdul’s, and to my extreme satisfaction it pulls the now you smell me now you don’t trick that I love! Don’t waste your money on other brands, this and Kareem are the true EMs, Auric Blends and Kuumba decided to pull out of the musk game so stick with Remedy, aptly named as it is 😃

Beautiful, quality, true Egyptian Musk oil scent (slightly sweet, a little floral, clean musk). Smells very much like an Egyptian Musk that I purchased from a NYC street vendor in the 90s. Great customer service from this company, too. (Under the name Perfectly Scentsable, no longer called Remedy Northwest).

I've been on an Egyptian Musk Quest lately and have tried several: Kuumba Made, Auric Blends (Egyptian Goddess), Solstice Scents (Pharoah), Nemat's, and Attar Bazaar (not in the Fragrantica database); I've never tried the famed Abdul Kareem Egyptian Musk (no longer sold). I ordered this Egyptian Musk through the Perfectly Scentsable website (it's no longer called "Remedy Northwest"). This is a nice one that I can smell more than the Kuumba Made, so that's a good thing. But, because my nose simply can't smell musks very easily (for some weird reason), I prefer the stronger Egyptian Musks that I've listed here: Auric Blends Egyptian Goddess and Attar Bazaar's are beautiful and definitely perceptible to me, without being overwhelming; even so, they play this peekaboo game on my skin. I do also love Solstice Scents Pharoah for it's beautiful honey/myrrh notes, but the longevity isn't good on my skin, so I likely won't get a full bottle. Finally, Nemat's Egyptian Musk is a really unique one because it has a mineral-type note that I haven't found in any other of the musks I've tried. I'll likely give this Remedy Northwest/Perfectly Scentsable one to one of my friends who enjoys the more softly scented Kuumba Made Egyptian Musk.

this oil is thiccc! like the reviewer below said- it’s like honey. at first it did smell comparable to the abdul kareem egyptian musk, but after a few minutes, all i could smell was smoke. this is the second egyptian musk oil i’ve tried (i plan on sampling the other cult classics in due course), but between this one and the abdul kareem, i prefer the kareem.

Does anyone know if this company went out of business?? I cannot find anything online and the link on this website takes you to what appears to be a dead site. So disappointed. Where can I purchase these products?

Where can I get this in the UK? Any dupes?
