Mandarine Fraiche

What a shapeshifter this one is! I was used to the fact it is mandarine and green, a similar scent profile to Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic (which was my favourite a while ago, before it got weak and reformulated). It usually had fresh citrus and grass/herbs vibe, which I loved about it. Then it would become more of a skin scent, a bit vanillic but not too much, just a warm touch to the original blast of freshness. Today, all of a sudden and with no decent explanation, it turned out to be a citrus tart on me, like a clone of D&G Devotion! A completely different scent profile, but still a remarkably good perfume. What is worth mentioning, the majority of my Reminiscence perfumes needed some maturation. This one is no exception; it was pleasant the first time I opened it, but evolved into its true, wonderful form after w few months.

I tested a spray vial of this. I love the super juicy citrus opening, it makes me feel instantly happy and uplifted. Continuously spraying this is not the answer to keeping the fresh fruity vibe going because then it becomes a bit headache triggering. I know, because I tried, lol. Mandarine Fraiche then dries down to an inoffensive soft and slightly sweet skin scent. This is between OK and like for me. I would buy a full bottle if I came across a bargain but I have too many tea/citrus summer fragrances to use. Edit: finished my spray sample. This time I get some creamy sweetness, an impression of an orange smoothie or Creamsicle.

Lovely sweet citrus. I expected something sharper and fresher from the notes but it is quite sweet and soft - almost lactonic or softly vanillic. Unisex - but with the sweetness it is leaning a bit feminine.

I just got this, but it was pre-owned, so I think it's already macerated. This is my first impression, so it might change as I wear it more. I don't understand the review below - this doesn't even remind me the slightest of Devotion. I don't understand how it would come even close to it, but we'll see how it turns out after some time in my maceration room. This opened up like lemon jello. It has that lemon-orange-peel scent (I don't think it smells quite like lime, unless it's a kind of lime I'm unfamiliar with), plus a gelatinous scent that's hard to describe - you kinda just need to smell gelatine to understand it. In the background I smelt tea and verbena. Not bad - mostly just OK. As this dried down, the tea note became more thick... like, almost slightly oily. At the drydown, I don't think I like it. On my skin it smells tea, verbena and... fried chicken. The gelatinous, slightly oily and verbena scent from the stages before kinda combine to create a cooking-oil-like note on my skin. I think I need to try it on clothes, and also may put this away and try it in warmer weather. It might not be one of the scents that are well suited for winter. Currently, this one is a dislike. I mean, who wants to smell of fried chicken?... This becomes better if I layer it with a scent like Imagination by Louis Vuitton, but the scents don't enhance each other's beauty - Imagination just hides Mandarine Fraîche's weird aspects... I'm currently giving Mandarine Fraîche a GIGANTIC side-eye. I think I need to get it put of my house - I don't like it.

Well after a blast of cold mandarine as overture, turns in a sort of baby cologne. Actually remember me baby biscuits, cookies for kids. Even if not listed I sense a sort of milk/vanilla note. Quite sweet at the end, in sum, after all. Not so fraiche as the name says. Nice, not for me. Low persistence.

I could not describe it better that Agnes81 did! Sweet citrus milky vanillic with a hint of medicinal note in the background. I prefer Arancia di Capri, Mandarino di Amalfi or Artisan Blu.
