With A Smile On Her Face, "Give Me One Moment Madam, I'll Go Rummage In My Bag, Show You It, And Let You Try It On For Yourself "!! A Few Minutes Later, She Was Back, Proudly Holding It In Her Hand!! "There You Go, Please Do Take A Squirt"!! And "Guess What", She Began, "I'm Near Sure It's Going To Be Available To Purchase Later On Tonight, On The Duty Free Trolley"!! I'm Glad To Say She Was 100% RIGHT, And I Purchased Two Of Them!! From Then, Till Now, I've Always Kept At Least Two Bottles Of This Always In My Vast Perfume Collection!! Slept-in silk sheets, cold Darnley's gin, jasmine at night and the sea at dawn... This is lovely and complex in the most soft way. If this was indeed the perfume of a mermaid, it is a mermaid of the Mediterranean, she is a daughter of Poseidon; she knows what the smell of jasmine could do to the senses, he has swam through the Cleopatra beach, dived into the Cave of Nausica, can speak Greek and knows the taste of baklava. For a few seconds it's intoxicatingly alcoholic, but it gives way to an intense combination of muted down androgynous vanilla, sea - a sea breathing rich algae - and white flowers (I mostly get jasmine and white rose prints yet the flower notes are mixed so beautifully it is hard to pluck the flower I'm smelling). It's durable and the sea note is one of the most beautiful ones I've smelled. The naturality evokes sensuality. I was quite disappointed with Shalimar Souffle and what I was expecting from Shalimar Souffle was this... The perfect mix of sensual Orientalism and Mediterranean leisure.

Fresh and lovely scent. I do not smell the roses at all, even if I hate roses in perfumery. The vanilla is muted and tends to become watery and disappear. I also hate strong vanilla perfumes - and this is not it. It has a very authentic fresh marine air about it ( I live by the sea - I should know). Slightly bitter opening, then vanilla and then just fresh for the remainder of at least 6 hours. It stays on clothes forever but not strongly or overwhelmingly so. I find it to be a sweeter version of Blue Water Woman by Davidoff and a warmer version of Aqva Divina by Bvlgari. I find that this scent perfectly mimics those first spring days by the sea, when the sun is warm but the wind still a little cool. The air has begun to release more scents as the icy cold winds has moved away. It is the promise of the summer still to come.

I love it! The scent of paradise. Smell very strong at first spray, and become soft and aquatic. I smelt sweet fruity, floral and vanilla. I dunno how, but it reminds me of Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder. (Masterpiece rainforest paradise floral) But Beyond Paradise is "women". REM is more light and unisex. Still is warm, feminine expensive smell, but I got this very reasonable price at strawberryNET.com

Initially I didn't like the first sprays - it just felt strange but very quickly after and especially when settling down it's so good honestly - a very pleasant surprise. Definitely a summer scent that would do well for day as nighttime events. Feels also very unisex to me.
