Oh my God this one is a masterprice!!!! It was a blind buy for me and l was very happy to discover this beauty!!! This one is love with the first sniff...something makes me thinking of Poeme Lancôme it opens a little bit different but the drydown is the same very very similar in the same category with Amarige, Chloe .. , It opens with oriental spicy notes and strong white flowers from the beginning .A little bit citrus and green maybe in the opening but in my nose l cant feel anymore citrus or green after 5 minuts. Sandalwood and patchouli( not very dominant as spicy white flowers are)make this perfume a woody-floral oriental. The Woody notes are well blended with spices and white flowers but everything l feel is very strong oriental spicy white flower very dominant until the end....and the end is so far because this perfume lasts for ever. The woman who wear it is a classic elegant with strong personality in the center of attention , every body turn their heads to smell the perfect queen of the evening . This is a sillage bomb like Poeme a perfect scent if you want to grab attention in evening occasions you want to feel sexy elegant, classy in very sophisticate way !!! l have now in one hand Poeme and in the other Marquis...after hours on my skin they smell so similar!!! longevity 10/10 sillage 10/10

Yes this is a lovely, quintessential 90s floriental but there is also soapy, car freshener element to this (most likely from the citrus & green notes) that I detect, which I find very appealing. When I breathe it in, a fruity semi-sweet wine aroma rounds out the green and ambery accords. It is beautifully complex, womanly, sensuous, and exquisite. I imagine a refined woman in a couture pantsuit, with dark shades, leather gloves, a statement necklace, black pumps, and her hair in soft retro waves wearing this fragrance. It exudes femininity and dominance at the same time.

If you like Poeme you will like this too, especially since it’s about half the price. I must admit I don’t love it as much as I LOVE Poeme, one of the happiest fragrances on the planet, but it makes a nice change. Don’t hesitate about acquiring this, in my opinion, if Poeme style fragrances is your thing then it’s a safe blind buy.

Smells like a dialed up Poeme completely stripped of the mimosa note, with amped up sandalwood, spices, with fragrant white flowers. It's quite heady and can be a bit intimidating at first spray, very womanly. I prefer this in the winter, the cold weather makes it perfect.

its beautiful scent. i love it. my friends always telling me that i hv beautiful smell after i am wearing this perfume. its very long lasting. even after i do my gym i can still smell it on my veil. combination between woody sweet mysterious and sexy scent. love it

I love this. It is really not spicy or floriental. It is HUGE neroli/orange blossom and jasmine with skanky musk and creamy sandalwood. Very very vintage. Beautiful. Powerful. Worth the blind buy.

So I've been trying to find a substitute for Poême because what's being made today is not what I fell in love with 22 years ago, and I just don't want to spend Lancôme bucks on inferior juice. (Got a vintage bottle but it's def in the process of turning and not firing on all four burners.) Marquis is a full on old school fragrance, and definitely very close to Poême – maybe 85% the same vibe, but notably sweeter. In fact Marquis reads *very* sweet on my skin. It takes about 30 minutes to calm down before becoming a sweet, ambery-balsamic white floral. The price is certainly good for something that approximates Poême so closely, and I think the juice is well blended. As other reviewers here have said: Use a very light hand. Seriously, this stuff is a beast and even one full spray is a bit too much. Don't say we didn't warn you.😅

this is my mother's fav perfume she's still a big fan of it till this day, every time I smell it I get this strong nostalgic feeling of memories back from my childhood, I started using it as well after getting into my late teenage years I've gotten a lot of compliments every time I've used it, the smell feels very nostalgic, like a wooden vanity full of makeup with it's sort of warm and powdery scent, feels very classic, reminds me of going out late at night and driving through dim yellow street lights, I must also say it smells strong but it's presence lingers gently without being overwhelming not my style but still feels great every time I use it

Marquis is a nice warm, spicy Oriental fragrance with hints of spice, vanilla, sandalwood, floral and green notes. It settles down nicely and is not too overpowering. Evokes Middle Eastern coffee houses and spice bazaars. For the price you get a fabulous product. It's definitely worth having in your collection if you're not afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone a little. And there's a definite similarity with Poême, although Poeme is heavier on the peach, plum, and vanilla. They are not mutually exclusive! 7/10

Miroase minunat, feminin, la.inceput este puternic, dar in timp mirosul se estompeaza destul de repede. Consider ca are o persistenta medie, dar raportat la pret, merita ! Nota 10 !

Grande Dame frag at a broke girl price point. That one two punch of jasmine and ylangylang with the slight skank of patchouli in the opening. Let it dry down for half an hour then the spices start to kick in. This definitely not a teenybopper frag. A light hand is advised since 3 sprays can kill an elephant.

Ah man I'm in love with this one albeit having a different smell in mind. This was a blind buy after looking at people's review of it. I was expecting CK Obsession-esque oriental dark and woody, smokey notes from it. But nope! This is almost sweet. It opens with lots of citrus, I detect pepper notes from it, the sandalwood is apparent. After a moment, passes it dries down to a creamy blend of vanilla, sandalwood and citrus. I might be insane but I get white chocolate notes after the dry down, too! Very elegant, a little sexy. Overall, not what I expected but I loved what I got.

It starts out very spicy with tones of white flowers and precious woods. I think I smell carnation or cloves more specifically. After about 20 minutes the fragrance settles and calms down to a soft, warm oriental, I could swear I smell lots of vanilla in this phrase, too. I agree that it can be very strong at the beginning but after the drydown I don't think it's such a powerbomb at all.

It was my first perfume ever. I don't remember much of it other than that I would still recognise it from far. My classmates notebook would smell like it the next day if I sat beside her the day before. It made me feel good, but I wouldn't try out another heavy spicy fragrance like this one again. Thank you, old friend.

based on the reviews, i thought that i will be smelling something different, but NO. I've smelled a similar fragrances to this one since i was a kid, nothing special really. it’s sweet ambry scent that i smelled on my grandmas million times.
