Aura Rubrum

A very special gourmand fragrance, and if the opening aroma were to last throughout the entire development, it would undoubtedly go to the top of my wishlist. The opening is incredibly rich. It's an intense, fruity, and sweet red berry scent, yet with a certain freshness, and a creamy, lactonic touch of yogurt, like a very intense, sweetened red berry yogurt. This phase is a 10/10 for me. Little by little, the intensity decreases, the red berries fade into the background, leaving a very pleasant, creamy aroma of vanilla-sandalwood and musk, with a woody undertone reminiscent of the scent of sharpening a pencil. This phase, while also very beautiful, is quite a bit more generic. It reminds me of Kayali's Yum Boujee Marshmallow, but with more wood and even a softer note. That's where, even though I like it, it slips off my wish list (or sinks to the bottom) because, while I've fallen in love with it, it's also true that there are other similar, more affordable perfumes already on my list, leaving this one out. The performance is good. On my skin, it lasts about 8 hours, although it's true that it becomes very faint towards the end. The projection, aside from the initial phase, is very moderate, which makes it very versatile and, due to the fruity notes, more suitable for daytime than nighttime. It's what I usually call a gourmand fragrance for between seasons, or even for summer.
