Late Night

i discovered this beauty when i went to the window to try another perfume from this brand. you can feel the history and experiences that have permeated the room. as someone addicted to gris charnel, layton, anı, and do son, it's no surprise that i liked this one. i would buy it if i had the money.

I tried today at a perfume shop and it layers beautifully with bianco latte from GDT. It's gorgeous by it self too.

Cardamom and sandalwood... Unfortunately the opening reminded me of Gris Charnel from the very first seconds. Soft, pleasant, peaceful, deep and with somewhat leathery & tobacco-y additions. A late night scent? I don't think so. Beautiful? Yes, but it doesn't owe that to its own originality. I hope you get the message. Tag(s): calming, cocooning, cardamom, woody, milky

Can see this being a crowd-pleaser, but it's also not exactly inventing the wheel - feels super familiar. Reminds me a lot of the creamy sandalwood vibe of Diptyque's Bois Corsé for instance. Still, it's totally well-done, comforting, cozy - would be great in winter.

Yeah, this is just another rendition of Gris Charnel so don't bother if you already own BDK or anything in that similar realm like Parisian Musc, Iris Paladium, Meander, Velvet Iris, Fig Infusion, Le Pari d'Honfleur, one of the Penhaligons I forgot which one, but you get the point.

Reservation definitely caught my attention, especially with the story about the imaginary hotel. The perfume describes the room where the president stays (Suite 909), or some couple who met in the hotel bar and ended up in the room (Late night) - Late night is a really gentle creamy perfume that sends out a positive feeling, of calm and purity. The saffron here is not that aggressive, but is gently blended with sandalwood. I've used this 4-5 times and I'll definitely be looking for the whole bottle. The projection and longevity are ok, I'm satisfied. All in all, a "flirtatious perfume" I would say

Gris charnel wears the crown in the rich nutty/milky/smoky cardamom category. It's a tiny category to experiment in and in my opinion not worth the effort to compete. Any cardamom combo now just smells like Gris Charnel but not as good. BDK is also in the same price class so there is really no point.

I smelled this on a whim in a perfume shop and I HAVE NOT STOPPED THINKING ABOUT IT SINCE. It smells SO good and warm and comforting and sensual. My wallet is crying while my head screams I NEED IT!!!

For me, it is kinda like Costume National 21. And Gris Charnel also. But it is really beautifully blended... maybe the most beautiful from all.
