Arguably simple yet precisely executed construction of this perfume reminds me of Shalimar. Saying that, Feu Sacré is a tad lighter, less sweet and more on the incensy side. It's something queen of Saba would wear (although it's definitely unisex). Love it.

It's a very warming spicy fragrance. I thought there was ginger, because i associate the warmness the fragrance gives out with the way ginger root smells, if tea-infused. There's a heat like quality about Feu Sacrée, considering that it wants to emulate the sensation of fire. I guess the clove, pink pepper and myrrh create this warming sensation. Give this one a try if you're into perfumes you like to wear like a warming scarf/ blanket.

I tried this one at Esxcense 2024 - the founders were lovely to visit with and I’m looking forward to exploring the whole house. This Feu Sacre was beautiful and cozy, the smoke accord is more refined lthan say By the Fireplace. Cant wait for them to start shipping to the USA - will get a bottle of this and a Discovery Set as soon as they do!

This composition stands out for its spicy accord and sweetness; it definitely has a "bay rum" touch. Cinnamon and clove, smoked bay leaf, very warm but too sweet for those who, like me, prefer more laconic spicy-smoky flavors
