Charlie Black

This one is a bit masculine, in my opinion. It's probably because of the musk which stays from the first spray til it's almost faded. The mandarin note is strong in the beginning but evens out later and mixes with the musk + other notes. Mandarin is definately the strongest fruit-scent and the cherry note is weak, just like the almond and tonka bean. Tried to find the vanilla but couldn't, same with the caramel - not noticeable. The floral note is very strong to me, almost more strong than the mandarin. Not a bad scent and I like this one more than "Touch" and "Essence" but nothing I want to buy again or need.

Wow the first to review this. I really like this! It's musk and cherries with a hint of vanilla. A strong perfume that is definitely not delicate like Charlie Pink, but still sweet in a different way. It's a fragrance for the curious and not the faint hearted. Appropriate for evenings. Quite unique but cheap. I recommend.

This is a review for the aerosol spray. After looking up the notes, I was ecstatic to find that Charlie Black contained cherry and litchi - my two favourite notes when it comes to fragrances, unfortunately they seem to be hidden away and overpowered by a masculine aftershave smell at first. Honestly it's not overly terrible, just very unexpected. The musk and coumarin are potent above every other note. On the dry down though, things are looking up. You're left with a more sweet and subtle scent. The amber and orange start to seep through the masculine smell and the tone of this fragrance becomes more feminine and lighter. After a while the vanilla come through as well. For some reason I can't help but notice this woodsy smell and I'm not sure where it's coming from (maybe the heliotrope?) I have no idea. It makes the Charlie Black feel 'cold' and 'damp' if that makes sense? It's not unpleasant, just a little too harsh. It's an okay fragrance. Good for a fall day.

It was a blind buy. Was hoping for musk and cherries. All I get is oranges and almonds. To me it smells like a very linear cheap edt which one would get at the cosmetics department. Might be ok for a work out in the summer but that's pretty much it. Disappointing!

This was a blind buy. I do like a cheapy but this smells a bit too cheap. There"s no depth to it. All I got was a slightly fruity musk. Disappointing but it was only £4 so nothing to lose sleep over.
